In this powerful homily, Fr. Chris Alar, MIC reflects on the extraordinary faith of the Gentile woman who humbly approached Jesus, trusting that even the “scraps” from the Master's table were enough to bring healing and mercy. Her faith reminds us that great faith can be found in unexpected places. Although she had not received the spiritual privileges given to Israel, she continued to believe—even when Jesus seemed silent. She did not walk away. She remained humble, persistent, and confident in His mercy.Fr. Chris challenges us as Catholics to recognize how much we have received: the Eucharist, Confession, the Sacraments, the Blessed Mother, and countless graces from God. Yet sometimes those who have received less appear to trust God more deeply and make greater use of the faith they have been given. When God seems silent, do not stop praying. His silence does not mean He has abandoned or ignored us. Sometimes He is strengthening, testing, and purifying our faith, teaching us to trust Him more completely. The Gentile woman was willing to wait for the scraps—but what she received was the abundant mercy of Christ.May we never take God's gifts for granted. May we approach His table with gratitude, humility, and persistent faith, remembering that Jesus is the Bread of Life, and even the smallest gift of His grace can transform our lives and lead us toward eternal life.

Australian all-star Aarkenell also submitted a point-ranking system, presented by Tuff as a reference for comparing card power levels. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has officially rebranded June away from Pride Month — and five Republican-led states are right behind her. From Tennessee's Nuclear Family Month to Alabama's Strong Families Month to Nebraska's Marriage and Family Month, red states are pushing back against what many conservatives call decades of corporate and political rainbow-washing. This is a coordinated cultural statement, not a fringe move.Sean breaks down the full list of states, what they're declaring instead, and why the mainstream media — especially here in the Pacific Northwest — won't touch this story. The corporate machine behind Pride Month has run unopposed for years. That's changing fast, and the left's response reveals exactly how high the stakes are in this fight over American values.Meanwhile, Seattle marches the other direction, and Sean has thoughts. From the Seattle Times cheerleading a World Cup crowd to the Pacific Northwest's relentless LGBTQ advocacy overreach, the contrast between red-state America and the Puget Sound bubble has never been sharper. Every bloodline is either accumulating or resetting. Most reset each generation — each child handed the starting line rather than the position. A bloodline is your family — seen across time rather than in the present tense. The same people, the same love, the same table, but looked at over generations instead of years. And once you look at it that way, a question appears that doesn't exist at the shorter timescale: is this family accumulating, or is it resetting?Because most reset. Each child is handed the starting line rather than the position, sent out at eighteen to assemble a life from whatever is available. And the striking thing, as Jess observes in this episode, is that this happens as readily in families with money as in families without. The reset isn't a question of resources. It's a question of orientation.Survival is a state that produces choices. The first idea of the episode is that being untethered young doesn't just make life harder — it changes the mechanism by which you choose. In survival, decisions are made about safety rather than about truth. You align with the job that looks secure, the relationship that looks solid, the alliances that will get you through. None of it looks like survival from the inside; it looks like good judgement. It only reveals itself in retrospect, which is precisely why the second individuation is such a shock: it hands you the ability to see the machinery of your own past choices.Individuation as a perceptual event.Jess frames the descent into the underworld as the acquisition of codes rather than the resolution of a wound. What changes is not how you feel but what you can see: the masks people wear as a condition of surviving here, the unconscious allegiances that structure families, the loyalties that make people defend what cannot be defended. And because these operate below awareness, they cannot be named to the people inside them. Seeing costs you something. Jess is honest that what it costs is company.Inheritance is a mechanism with a timing problem. The central proposition of the episode: inheritance transfers resource at the exact moment it can no longer be used to build a life. A lifetime is spent accumulating — money, wisdom, position, maturity — and the transfer is scheduled for the end, when it becomes a division of remainder rather than an act of provision. Jess names the energetic signature of this plainly. Scraps. Not because the sum is small, but because the intention behind it was self-directed the whole way through. The alternative isn't more generosity. It's a different orientation from the outset: building for the collective rather than for the self with a bequest attached. I am creating this for us, now — a structural difference, not a sentimental one.Provision and control are the same instrument pointed differently. The necessary caveat, and Jess doesn't skip it. Resource given on condition of compliance isn't provision. It's leverage wearing provision's clothes — be who we want you to be, or be cut off. Which is why the vehicle matters as much as the intention: structures where the giver doesn't hold the tap, so that the resource stays resource and can't quietly become power. The second half as a building phase. The episode closes on the two failure modes Jess sees in women at midlife: the slow withdrawal into what she calls God's waiting room, and the tantrum — I gave everything to everyone, now it's mine. She understands the second. She doesn't think it holds. Self-care can't carry a mission; there's a reason people cook properly for a table and snack when they're alone. Fifty years of accumulated wisdom, hindsight and energy, pointed at building something that outlasts you — that's the proposition on offer.------------------------------------Join The Vessel: https://spiritualised-the-vessel.netlify.app/

The World Bank Group (WBG), along with the other multilateral development banks (MDBs), plays a critical role in helping its client countries transition to low-carbon economies and strengthen their resilience to the impacts of climate change. In late June, however, following pressure primarily from the United States, the WBG abandoned its target of allocating 45 per cent of its financing to climate-related activities. The Bank's broader Climate Change Action Plan, which was due to expire on 30 June 2026, was nevertheless extended. What are the implications for the WBG's work on climate change? How can 'climate-progressive' MDB shareholders navigate these challenging dynamics? And what might the US administration do next? To find out, Anna and Bhargabi speak with Melanie Robinson (Global Climate, Economics and Finance Program Director at the World Resources Institute) and Dr Nancy Lee (Senior Fellow and Director for Sustainable Development Finance at the Center for Global Development).

What if the proof you need for your next miracle is already in the boat? In Mark 6, after Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish, He told the disciples to gather every fragment left over. Twelve disciples. Twelve baskets. One each. They didn't go into the next storm empty. They went loaded with evidence of what God had just done. But when the wind turned against them, they panicked. The scraps were right there in the boat and they missed it. This message is for anyone in a season where you're doing everything right and things are still going wrong. You may not be able to see Jesus in your storm right now, but do you have any scraps? A marriage still standing. A child still serving God. A situation He already brought you through. Those are not leftovers. Those are proofs. Every fragment says the same thing: He did it before. He can do it again. Scripture: Mark 6:31-52 | Jeremiah 8:22 | John 6:12 | Matthew 14:27

Now that the dust has settled from this season of Summer House and the three part reunion is well underway, one thing has become clear. West Wilson is beyond clueless. After a lackluster season of RHOBH, as production floats names around for cast changes, Lisa Rinna is demand back hard core. RHOBH's major cast change is a brewin'. Nene is happy with Bravo's scraps. Last, but not least, the truth behind Stassi and Katie's reconciliation is exposed. @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BONUS & AD FREE EPISODES Available at - www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope BROUGHT TO YOU BY: WHATNOT - www.whatnot.com (Download The Whatnot App To Get Free Shipping On Your First Order To Live Shop on The US's #1 Live Shopping App) ADVERTISING INQUIRIES - Please contact David@advertising-execs.com MERCH Available at - https://www.teepublic.com/stores/behind-the-velvet-rope?ref_id=13198 Learn more about your ad choices.
