On this episode, the guys go back to Haddonfield one more time to chat about the conclusion of David Gordon Green's (overly?) ambitious horror trilogy, Halloween Ends! Should they have front-loaded the film with Michael and Laurie and gotten them out of the way first, instead of leaving it for last? How fabulous do the kills continue to be in these more recent films? And yikes, Cory getting bullied by the marching band kids is pretty hilarious! PLUS: Heed this film's warning and never, ever turn off a screening of John Carpenter's The Thing mid-way through! Halloween Ends stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Rohan Campbell, Will Patton, Michael Barbieri, Destiny Mone, Joey Harris, Marteen, Michele Dawson, Keraun Harris, Kyle Richards, Jaxon Goldberg, and James Jude Courtney as The Shape; directed by David Gordon Green. This week we discuss the final installment (please let this be the last one) in the canon Halloween quadrilogy - Halloween Ends! This movie has been a little disappointing for many, being a departure from the normal mold that has propelled the Halloween franchise since 1978. That does not, however, mean that this film cannot stand on its own merits. So, does Halloween set itself up for failure by diverging from the mold, or does it add a refreshing mint leaf to the closure cocktail that is being served in the theater?Oh also But Is Halloween Ends Good?If you'd like to suggest a film or film franchise, or if you'd just like to say hello, you can reach us at biigpodcast@gmail.com, @biigpodcast on twitter, or @butisitgoodpodcast on instagram!

Happy Horror Wednesday? Ya that kinda works! Today your two hosts Matt and Mike review their third Harvest Horror Fest film of the season Halloween Ends starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, James Jude Courtney, and Rohan Campbell. Bonus topics include taxes, the She Hulk finale is awful, and bathroom breaks. This one is a bit of a shocker for your two hosts. The critics and audience just really do not like Halloween Ends but Mike and Matt really enjoyed it. This is not your typical Halloween film. It has plenty of hack and slash but it also has a really good story. There is romance, moving on after trauma, and a very very satisfying end to Michael Myers. We are really going to try to not spoil this one here so let's just say this, Mike and Matt think you definitely should see this film especially in theaters. It is way better than the 2021 sequel Halloween Kills, heck it might even be the best film of the modern Halloween trilogy. The guys also agree on their rating awarding Halloween Ends 3.5 out of 5 Reels. Next week we end the 5th Annual Harvest Horror Fest the same way we have ended the previous two years with another Friday the 13th flick, Friday the 13th Part III! Maybe this one will be as good as the original since it was intended to be in 3D! Thanks for listening and we will chat with you next week! Robert Winfree, Ronnie Adams and Mark Radulich present their Halloween Ends 2022 Movie Review! Halloween Ends is a 2022 American slasher film that is the sequel to Halloween Kills (2021), the thirteenth installment in the Halloween franchise, and the final film in the trilogy of sequels that commenced with the 2018 film, which directly follows the 1978 film and disregards all other entries. Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan, and Chris Bernier, the film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Rohan Campbell, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, and James Jude Courtney, and marks Curtis and Nick Castle's final appearances in the series. In the film, Laurie Strode and her granddaughter Allyson, confront the continued threat of Michael Myers and the ramifications his attacks have wrought on the citizens of Haddonfield. The long reign of terror is over. Or is it...? It is. Hopes were high after Halloween 2018, but each installment got progressively worse, until finally, Halloween Ends. Synopsis The town of Haddonfield, IL is on edge from the previous Halloween's rampage from Michael Myers. Not in a way that gets them to be safer or demand justice, but mostly in a way that makes them irrationally blame Laurie Strode for all their problems. Corey, a good kid, ends up accidentally killing a little prick of a kid, and gets labeled as psycho by the town. He gets pushed around until he finally reaches a breaking point and starts to style himself after Michael Myers. Laurie Strode herself, after living a life based on fear and vengeance, training herself to be the ultimate mercenary, in this movie says, meh, I'll just live like a normal grandma now. And Michael Myers shows up at the end. https://youtu.be/s0vtbxLa-N8 Review of Halloween Ends After Halloween Kills, my expectations were not high for this film, but nonetheless, it didn't meet them. I imagine for fans of the Halloween franchise, this entry will be as befuddling to them as it is to me. You would think that this being the final entry in the franchise, it would focus on what makes it work. Mainly, the unstoppable Michael Myers. Nope, they play a switcheroo, and focus on attempting to create a Michael Myers stand in protege. It's a bold move, and could be interesting, if they didn't completely fuck up everything to do with character development and motivation. Every character in this movie acts completely irrationally. Your brain will feel whiplash as characters completely change motivations instantly. This serves to make the plot seem completely arbitrary and nonsensical. The film attempts to analyze the nature of evil via nature vs nurture, but it falls completely flat, since they don't present a compelling or cogent argument for either. I will say that the ending is satisfying. Laurie and Michael do get their final standoff, and it does put a period on the franchise. After watching this movie, I do hope it is the last. When David Gordon Green got the greenlight to begin developing a new take on the “Halloween” franchise, he started by fleshing out a story that would resurrect Michael Myers and pit him against Laurie Strode once again. Initially, Green wanted to pitch two films that he would shoot back-to-back, which would ultimately serve as one complete story. Those plans were scratched but Green still found massive success with the release of his first “Halloween” film in 2018. It didn't take long for the studio to order sequels, which gave Green a chance to expand his idea from two films to three after realizing he had enough story to stretch across a trilogy. The new plan involved an aggressive, action packed sequel for the second film and then what Green called a “love story” for the third. Set four years after the events of “Halloween Kills,” Haddonfield is still haunted by the specter of Michael Myers but it doesn't take long before the town discovers a new boogeyman in their midst…In the latest episode of Rewind of the Living Dead, we're going to put a butcher knife in the pumpkin as we say goodbye to Michael Myers and Laurie Strode with our review of “Halloween Ends”… (Music courtesy of Andrew Scott Bell)

On this week's episode Johnny, Randy and Chris review the 2nd installment of the Halloween trilogy Halloween Kills. Director: David Gordon Green Writers: John Carpenter, Debra Hill, Paul Brad Logan Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, James Jude Courtney, Rohan Campbell, Will Patton Runtime: 1 hour 51 minutes Synopsis: The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode comes to a spine-chilling climax in the final installment of this trilogy. Halloween Kills was a surprisingly bad film. But maybe it wasn't too surprising since the way the 2018 film ended should have been the pin in the series. Of course they then decided to ignore logic and make Halloween Kills in 2021. Because that wasn't enough, we then got Halloween Ends and we can safely say, this should definitely be the final nail in both Michael Myers' coffin and the Halloween series. Seriously, what did we just watch? Why did they think anyone wanted to see a Halloween film with Michael Myers only being in the film for like 5 minutes? Worse, he's not the unstoppable force but just some big dude that can get beat up by a scrawny babysitter. And since when did Michael Myers being a psychopath become contagious? Listen as Kriss, Ro & Brandon discuss this really really bad film. Seriously...wtf? Like what you hear? Subscribe so you don't miss an episode! Of all of the more modern-day horror movie characters, Halloween's Michael Myers tops the list as the most iconic of the bunch. And the man who has embodied that character in 2018's “Halloween”, “Halloween Kills” and the upcoming “Halloween Ends”, is actor/stuntman James Jude Courtney. And from studying his cat to better play the world's favorite movie slasher, to whether or not this is truly the end of the franchise…we heard all about it this morning when we got him on the phone!!

We tried really, really hard to keep this episode under 2 hours but there's just so much to talk about with this one as it's one of the most disappointing movies of the year. It's the next installment in the new Halloween franchise with the really dumb name: Halloween Kills. Saying we were excited for this movie is an understatement, and boy, were we left down. That being said, there's a lot to discuss - both good and bad - including Michael's master plan that rivals that of Silva from Skyfall, how much Tommy Doyle must love the Misfits, and our pitch for the Endgame level mashup between all of the past characters from the entire Halloween franchise. All of that and more with returning guest and casual Halloween sort-of fan JT Kelly.Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Thomas Mann, Anthony Michael Hall, Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, Charles Cyphers, Nick Castle, and James Jude Courtney. Directed by David Gordon Green. If you enjoy what we do, please subscribe to our show, and leave us a rating and some feedback as well!Like us on FacebookFollow us on TwitterCatch up with us on InstagramJoin the discussion on our subredditBrought to you by HOLY Propaganda
Robert Winfree, Benjamin J Colon, Jason Teasley and Mark Radulich present their Halloween Kills 2021 Movie Review, the second installment of the David Gordon Green Halloween Trilogy! Halloween Kills is a 2021 American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems. The film is a sequel to 2018's Halloween and the twelfth installment in the Halloween franchise. The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis and James Jude Courtney, who reprise their roles as Laurie Strode and Michael Myers. Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, and Will Patton also reprise their roles from the previous film, with Anthony Michael Hall and Thomas Mann joining the cast. The film, which begins precisely where the previous film ended, sees Strode and her family continuing to fend off Myers, this time, with the help of the Haddonfield community.
