Frank MeyerWith his first solo album, “Living Between the Lines,” and his membership in punk legends, FEAR, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Frank Meyer keeps his credits rolling. He joins us to discuss his songwriting process, collaborating with the Runaways' Cherie Currie, recording FEAR's latest album, “The Last Time,” jamming with Taylor Hawkins' son, and why Taylor Swift and Amy Winehouse are such pop-perfect inspirations. Brad Zerbo returns for another late-night edition of WWG1WGA After Dark, delivering a spirited rundown of international intrigue, domestic policy wins, and globalist fear-mongering in spectacular meltdown mode. The episode kicks off with Trump's latest comments on Ukraine, where he hints a peace deal with Russia may already be within reach, if Zelensky can get out of the way. Brad highlights Trump's strategic negotiation style, recalling parallels with North Korea and underscoring the value of strong leadership on the world stage. Back home, the deportation of criminal foreign nationals, including the curious case of “Killmore”, sparks a reflection on psychological ops, legacy media lies, and Trump's methodical cleanup efforts at home. From ICE roundups to slashing DOJ grant waste and cutting government bloat, Brad lays out how reforms are rolling fast. Shifting gears, the show spotlights Elon Musk's quiet pivot out of Doge leadership, the rise of decentralization, and why the movement doesn't need a savior, it just needs solid systems. He also calls out climate fraud in a brilliant segment dissecting Al Gore's long-running fear campaign, complete with forgotten predictions, beachfront property purchases, and a savage Dan Peña clip that rips the green grift apart. Topping it off: Cuomo gets heckled, musicians like Cherie Currie rage against the regime, and globalist ghouls like Al Gore rage against their dwindling influence. Brad wraps it up with a strong defense of CO₂, plant life, and your right to breathe free. This one's a masterclass in energy, sarcasm, and late-night truth bombs...classic After Dark.

Frank MeyerTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know Frank Meyer. Frank has been a staple in the film, television & punk scene for the past 30+ years. In this episode, we chat about his growing up with some of the most supportive parents of their era. Frank's folks not only supported his hopes and dreams, but they also even took him to see some of the most iconic acts of all time. Frank recounts stories of seeing The Blues Brothers live, and even Eddie Murphy's Raw & Delirious shows. Then we get into some of Frank's work in television & film. Having spent several years with the G4 channel, Frank was an early podcaster with a very cool insight into the format. We bounce all over the place in this one. Frank shares stories of his antics with some of music's greats; like Cherie Currie, David Lee Roth, Dave Mustane, Van Halen, and Eddie Spaghetti. I get him to explain why he wrote books about Phil Spector, The Ramones, and even his series From Dude To Dad. Frank not only has his own bands: Frank Meyer & The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs here in the US, but also Trading Aces in Europe! Plus, he plays with FEAR, Cherie Currie, Range War, and Handsome Dick Manitoba's The Dictators. Fun stories involving The Stooges, and being a good hang. Frank even made documentaries about his buddy Hell Razah, and another one about Hip Hop 101. Check those out everywhere documentaries are available! Finally, we discuss Frank's debut solo album Living Between The Lines. I wouldn't be me if I didn't ask to play my favorite track from the album (Blue Radio)! Wu Tang Clan, Drew Barrymore, Eddie Spaghetti, and Keel stories abound!!

Part one of Red Eye Radio with Eric Harley and Gary McNamara includes the GDP slows and falls short of expectations. Consumer spending increased 2.5 %, down from a 3.3% gain in the fourth quarter and below the 3% Wall Street estimate. Pro-terrorist protests continue to expand. USC cancels graduation ceremony because of the turmoil. Pro-terrorist protesters want to shut down the White House Correspondents' Association dinner set for this weekend. The late Supreme Court Justice Anthony Scalia on the importance of the separation of powers. A poll shows a majority would support mass deportation of illegal immigrants. The question has to be asked again...where is the crime in the Trump hush money case? Runaways singer Cherie Currie has had enough of the Democratic Party. On today's show we open with two back-to-back economics related stories. The first shows the first quarter GDP for 2024 only grew 1.6%, far lower than expected. We combine with Biden saying he plans to let the Trump tax cuts expire (a tax on all Americans), he wants to increase the Capital Gains tax to 45% (highest its been since 1922) and he wants to install an Unrealized Gains tax to go after wealth you have not yet received. The Supreme Court of the United States is hearing the case over Presidential immunity. Of course president's have to have immunity or our Republic would cease to function. But, to show you the stupidity of some, I bring you an exchange first between Justice Elena Kagan and attorney D. John Sauer who is arguing on behalf of Donald Trump. Then we bring you comments between Justice Alito and attorney Dreeben who is arguing Trump has no immunity. After listening to them both, I hope you walk away understanding all presidents, whether we love or hate them, have immunity while in office. It looks like (big shocker) that the protests on these college campuses in favor of the terrorists and out to castigate and destroy Jews are backed by several Far-Left organizations, including those who supported the October 7 massacre in Israel. How did we get here, not just in terms of what's happening on college grounds, but also the stat of our nation? Stephen Miller, former Senior Advisor to President Trump weighs in on that and sums in up in 90 seconds. Maybe democrat voters are waking up to all of this lawfare, propaganda and nonsense. New York union leader Bobby Bartels said they may still call themselves Democrats, but in the last four years, the party has pushed them over to the other side. And, not only are you losing the unions in New York City, you are losing parts of the former “punk rock” movement. Cherie Currie, lead singer The Runaways, went off on the Democrat Party on X, ending with, “Voting Dem used to be cool. But now, it just makes you a FOOL.” Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Escuchar audio

Born in Buffalo NY, his father wore two hats as pianist and conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. He would seat Dave in the orchestra pit during performances as early as seven years old. Dave's brother Robert would soon become a multiple Grammy-nominated classical percussionist, and his sister an accomplished rock/soul singer. Shortly after his father's passing when Dave was 10, he suddenly took an interest in the piano that was sitting idly in the living room. Osmosis? Within six months Dave had mastered the C Sonata by Mozart, and began an obsession with XTC, Herbie Hancock, Yes, Todd Rundgren and of course, DEVO. Pretty diverse for an 11 year old. He clearly made the right choice. By the age of 17, he was one of the top keyboardists in his hometown, winning multiple awards consistently for seven years. Finally the big break came, when Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls called and left a simple message from sunny LA: “you wanna come out and tour with us for a year?” In a matter of one day Dave went from playing in front of 300 in a local Buffalo bar to playing Woodstock in front of 65000. This led to a two-and-a-half year relationship with the Goo Goo Dolls that took Dave around the world twice as touring keyboardist/vocalist for the “Dizzy Up The Girl” tour, the landmark album that spawned five top ten singles between 98 and 2000. That experience sealed his fate. We're celebrating CAAMFest (the Center for Asian American Media Festival) 2023 with the awesome and inspiring documentary, Fanny: The Right To Rock.Ange sits down (virtually) with director Bobbi Jo Hart to discuss how she first found out about Fanny (the first all female rock band to release an album on a major label), and the serendipitous steps (including a David Bowie quote) that led to her directing this film. She discusses how the band is still breaking glass ceilings as women in their 70s, stories from their recent concert at the iconic Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, and the true definition of success. For tickets to Fanny: The Right To Rock at the SFMOMA tonight, May 19th @ 5:30pm, click hereFor information on the Directions in Sound: Fanny and Friends FREE concert on Saturday, May 20th @ 1pm, click hereFollow Fanny: The Right To Rock on IG & FB & TwitterFollow director Bobbi Jo Hart on Twitter--Thanks for listening and for your support! The Hard Truth with Tony Shaffer – Rocker Cherie Currie joins LTC Tony Shaffer and the crew to discuss what is needed to protect women's sports from the recent influx of biological men taking over their leagues, tournaments, and contests. As men suddenly identify as women or transgender and compete with natural women, they dominate...
Catch-up with BMX pioneer and Hall of Famer, Byron Friday. Byron was truly at the start of BMX in the early 70s, rode and worked for iconic brands over the decades and even went to school with motocross legend Johnny O'Mara. Byron talks aboutbtraveling to Holland in the 80s to stay with Gerrit Does (the Godfather of European BMX), going to England to ride and conduct training schools at Iswich, hanging out with Craig Schofield, partying at the Hippodrome, drinking pints of Lager and Lime in London's King Road. I share about my time staying with Byron in LA when I first moved to the US full time in the 90s, doing gates with Byron, Greg Hill and Harry Leary at Greg's house and riding in Greg's backyard and the local LA trails. Byron touches on the early days in mountain bikes, riding with John Tomac, racing Norba's and working for Mountain Bike Action as mountain biking was blowing up. Byron also chats about a lot of the early day photographers and behind-the-scenes in both BMX and mountain bikes, Cherie Currie lead vocalist of The Runaways, Dirty Fest and more.
We're back to discuss all the happenings in the rock and metal world with Geekwire! The drama in the Motley Crue camp just continues to heat up. Between Mick Mars' lawsuit, Nikki Sixx's disparaging response, Carmine Appice getting into the action, and the potential for new music from the band, there's a lot to cover. We share our take on this situation. KISS' End of the Road tour continues to roll on but not without some speed bumps. In a recent show, Gene Simmons had to take a seat during the band's set due to dehydration. We discuss our thoughts on where things stand with the band and what the future may hold. Dolly Parton recently welcomed Nikki Sixx as a guest on her upcoming rock album. We share our thoughts on the non-creative song list for this upcoming project. Some good news in the Soundgarden world, as the dispute between Chris Cornell's widow and the surviving band members appears to have been settled. Other stories covered this week include Cherie Currie's thoughts on the slim chance of a Runaways reunion, Ozzy Osbourne looking rough, Blackie Lawless fighting back issues, Mr. Big potentially recording new music, Richie Blackmore and Deep Purple reunion rumors, new Great White music, and much more!
This episode of Big Blend Radio's "Music Monday" Show features David Libert who talks about his memoir "Rock and Roll Warrior." As a road manager, artist manager, musician, songwriter, record producer, and booking agent, Libert shares vivid tales from the inner circle of the music industry: on the road, backstage, on private jets, and inside the notorious after-parties with music legends in the era of free-spirit, hard-driving rock ‘n roll and R&B. Episode 319: The Crew's rocking out with the girls while watching Floria Sigismondi's The Runaways. This biopic of the first all-female rock band flies through the band's formation and instead focuses on Cherie Currie, her family problems and her relationship with Joan Jett. Michael Shannon and Dakota Fanning steal the show, and the cinematography is 70's perfection. Our Culture Wars: The Insurgency Continues as we discuss what's affecting our everyday lives from our own neighborhoods, in Washington and all the way to the what the sheltered World Economic Forum thinks it will have planned for us.Our Culture Wars Braintrust for this edition:Tony Shaffer - London Center for Policy Research PresidentCherie Currie - Recording ArtistJennie Matthias - Recording ArtistSusan Olsen- Actress, Former KABC Talk Show HostChris Cordani, Host
The term "Culture Wars" may be easily dismissed by some, but they are quite real and affect out everyday lives. The US, UK and other Western governments have attempted to whittle away individual freedoms and rights, publicly shame (and sometimes prosecute) free thinkers, change/control language and manipulate the Free World's economies to the downward spiral they are in today to more easily push an authoritarian globalist agenda, indoctrinate young people with a Leftist collective agenda. Can we beat these powerful people? Perhaps so, even though the Far Left has fully infiltrated academia, public education, major media outlets, the entertainment industry and Big Tech. They use scare tactics like "Global Warming/Climate Change will end the world (again)" or "(Insert wrongthinker here) is a racist (or bigot, anti-gay, Master of Hate and Destruction) to manipulate or silence a population into a more obedient lot. Who is fighting back? More people than you realize. They come from all over: working families, small business owners, grass-roots activists, concerned parents as well as rockers and entertainers who won't be forced into silence. The London Center for Policy Research has started this Culture Wars Salon series; for our second installment, we have invited music stars Cherie Currie (Recording artist, formerly of the Runaways - as well as stellar chainsaw sculptor) and Jennie Matthias (The Belle Stars, solo recording artist and charity leader) to discuss the Culture Wars of today with LCPR President LTC Tony Shaffer and host Chris Cordani, the weapons, how they affect all of us and fighting back - perhaps we are the insurgency. If you enjoy our Thought to Action videos, please comment and subscribe to our channelAlso, visit our Thought to Action Teespring Store: https://my-store-10084335.creator-spring.com/ Follow the London Center on Twitter: @TheLCPR Thank you for watching; please feel free to comment, share and subscribe. The Runaways are one of the earliest and most influential all-female rock acts of all time, a band that proved that women could rock just as hard as any man could! The group of Joan Jett, Cherie Currie, Sandy West, Lita Ford and my guest Jackie Fox make up the iconic line-up of the band. Their army of fans stretched across the globe, especially in Europe and Japan where their most famous song, Cherry Bomb – was a number 1 hit! Although only together for a short period of time, they paved the way for bands like The Go-Go's, The Bangles, Vixen and others to hit the big time. But the girls were just teenagers when they formed, 15 or 16, and the 1970's were a dangerous place for young women in the industry. The stories behind the Runaways are famous, each of the band members have told their sides at various times, and it's clear the girls were exploited financially, and in many other ways too. Drink and drugs and were made readily available and sexual assault occurred too. Remember these girls were all just teenagers. My guest, Jackie Fox, is an incredible woman who's had an incredible life and she talks to me about everything from her early life learning to play the guitar through to her current projects. She also speaks candidly about the rape she suffered at the hands of the bands manager. It's an interview not to miss.As well as this I will of course give you this weeks Top 5 run down - which is obviously my favourite 5 songs from The Runaways!

I am joined by ⅔ of the band Sweet Justice. Frank Meyer and Bruce Duff regale me with some amazing stories like the time Bruce just winged a KISS solo for the band Redd Kross. There's also the time that Frank announced to the band that they got a record deal after playing a show of mostly covers. One of my favorites, though, is how they got Cherie Currie to play Cherry Bomb with them during their third show ever! They've released their new EP, Redline, after a 17 year gap and it rocks.
