We've been taking some time off to spend with our family and enjoying the summer. Meanwhile we are working on putting car deals together and we are on our way to the Rolex Motorsports Monterey event with Bring a Trailer. We start off the episode watching the end of our friend's auction on Bring a Trailer. And, Although we'd like to say we are locals when we go on vacation, we learned we are very much tourists!! Also, we discuss our upcoming line up of cars, trucks and motorcycles: Volvo race car, Morris Minor, among other rigs you won't want to miss.

Here's the info about our car, our weekend plans, and what we learned through the process of taking on this project together. It's also our 27th wedding anniversary today and we've learned a lot in those years and are sharing with you how we are approaching life going forward. Thank you for joining along with us!

Leslie sold her first 2 vehicles on BaT this week. Jason also sold a truck, and we recap the experiences. It's been a beneficial time for us in learning how to work together, and how to navigate the day to day tasks to keep Denwerks running. In addition, it's been nothing but fun spending our days together. Follow along as we countdown to t-6 days until the Gambler 500! Two of Leslie's auctions are live on Bring a Trailer - the 1972 Lincoln Mark IV and the 1968 Ford F-250 4 speed. It's exciting and scary! We also talk about how amazing it is to be experiencing the grandparent life, and God's grace is such a reminder of keeping perspective in our day to day lives and the normal stresses of living.

We have auctions auctions auctions!!! Upcoming cars that will be sold are keeping us hopping around here and we're learning to see each other in new ways. Leslie's first auction is coming up soon on Bring a Trailer and the butterflies are setting in - the reality of selling No Reserve is real and challenging! We are choosing to have fun and embrace that everything is a process that we can support each other in.

We took a fun trip to buy a 1968 F250 Bumpside that we'll tell you about. Also, I took Jason on a near death journey when I was mad, and we're learning to roll with the idea that everything is a process!!

We have been so busy around here, we have an amazing lineup of cars coming your way soon & also Leslie sold her first car!!!

We've been leading up to this episode! On March 11, 2021 we got a message that changed everything for us. We are excited to share about this story and how healing it has been to add Chuck to our family and also a there's a grandbaby involved. If you have lost hope in any area of your life, you need to listen to this episode. There is healing possible and it often comes from the least expected places.

How do you run a business and stay married?! We have learned a lot through the years and today we talk about some of the fundamentals about how we are making that work and our marriage is thriving because of it. Jason and I talk about our Gambler 500 project, we just got the wheels and tires on it (the meats!!) and it's causing some additional issues with the project. Jason also found a sweet 1210 International Harvester that we picked up. The seller is someone who has known Jason before he started Denwerks in 2003, so it was a nice trip down memory lane. We also worked on some home projects over the weekend, and it's been such a positive change for us to work together. We used to do things separately so that we could get all the house chores done, but it made us grow apart. Learn how we are switching things up so we can have more fun together in our marriage, and also so that we don't get locked into doing typical home duties. We also coined a new acronym, CPO!!!

I tell Jason a couple of race stories in the Porsche Macan S, we talk about new cars, and then continue our story of how we met and eventually got married.

Jason and I share about our childhoods and what we believed about religion. We talk about the cars we grew up with and ultimately something happened to each one of us that changed us for good.

Jason and I give a shout out to Stanley, our English Bulldog. Then we discuss how we each got into cars before we met. We're taking you back to 1986 in this episode!!! It's the beginning of our love story before we knew each other.
