Firefly Metals (ASX: FFM) owns the Green Bay Copper-Gold Project in Canada. It's been one of the great success stories in this space over the past two years. Another resource update and economic studies are pending, and the company has just completed the sale of its Pickle Crow Project to Bellavista. Firefly shareholders will get a chunk of Bella Vista shares, and Firefly will be a major shareholder in Bella Vista. Steve Parsons is the Managing Director of Firefly Metals. He has extensive experience in the mining and resources sector, with a strong track record of advancing high-quality mineral projects through exploration, development, and production stages. Parsons is widely recognised for his operational expertise and his focus on value creation through disciplined capital allocation and aggressive exploration strategies. Produced by Resource Media The Hole Truth: Mining Investment Podcast is a product of Read Corporate. Please note that Read Corporate does not provide investment advice and investors should seek personalised advice before making any investment decisions. Key Insights Aggressive Drilling Strategy Driving Resource Growth Firefly Metals has rapidly scaled its exploration efforts from a single rig to 10 active drill rigs across the Green Bay project. This includes seven underground rigs focused on infill and step-out drilling, and three surface rigs targeting regional opportunities. The intensity of drilling underpins consistent news flow and resource expansion, a key driver of market re-rating in the resources sector. High-Grade Core Enhancing Project Economics Within the broader ~80Mt resource base, Firefly has identified a high-grade core approaching 20Mt grading 3–4% copper, with zones exceeding 5–7%. This material is expected to be mined early, significantly boosting project NPV and early cash flow. The presence of such high-grade zones positions Green Bay as a potentially tier-one copper-gold asset. Clear Development Path with Scalable Production Profile An upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) will outline a low-capex, 1.8Mtpa startup operation leveraging existing infrastructure, including hydroelectric power and port access. Importantly, the study will also demonstrate scalability to 3–5Mtpa or beyond, highlighting long-term growth potential and multi-decade mine life. District-Scale Exploration Upside Remains Underexplored Firefly controls an entire volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) district, where deposits typically occur in clusters. With regional drilling set to accelerate in the second half of the year, the company is targeting repeat discoveries that could materially expand the resource base and transform the project into a globally significant mining camp. Bellavista Transaction Unlocks Hidden Value for Shareholders The divestment of the Pickle Crow gold project into Bellavista provides Firefly shareholders with direct equity exposure via an in-specie distribution. Firefly retains ~10% ownership, maintaining upside while reallocating capital to Green Bay. The involvement of proven operators and a well-funded exploration plan increases the likelihood of value creation from this secondary asset.

On this week's Alabama Saltwater Fishing Report, Butch Thierry and Angelo DePaola cover a strong spring bite across the Alabama Gulf Coast, from deep-drop swordfish and offshore bottom fishing to the changing surf bite along Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan. This week, Chris Vecsey breaks down how he uses electronics, structure, bait, sacrificial weights, and quick drops to target daytime swordfish, including what worked during a four-for-four Mud Marlin tournament trip. Next up, Tony Emmons with South Alabama Surf Fishing gives an honest surf report, where pompano have been hit-or-miss, but whiting, quality flounder, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, jacks, and a few other beach species are giving anglers plenty to chase. Finally, Capt. King Marchand checks in from Dauphin Island with an offshore report centered on scamp, beeliners, live bait, tuna that were marked but stubborn, and why the current bottom fishing may be too good to leave. The highest level Trump administration officials gathered two days ago for a seminar on how to win the midterm elections. Reports indicate the information they learned and the campaign they will offer are different than what you may think. Stephen Colbert is just a flat out liar as he has tried to rig a senate primary in Texas in favor of a white male running against Jasmine Crockett, a black female. The Kansas House overrides the governor's veto and has defined gender in the state that will apply to bathrooms, ID's and driver licences. U2 goes all Sprinsteen with their own song about Renee Good and it's almost as bad. But there's a silver lining about local musicians in KC that I'll share with you. KU rolls at OSU but once Darryn Peterson had a big first half and it was obvious KU had this, he sat with cramps. Oh, well. Mizzou builds a 19 point lead over Vandy but has to hang on. But they did... and they're in pretty good shape for the tourney if they can finish well. There's a flurry of Chiefs news with Rashee Rice being sued and Patrick Mahomes getting a new contract. Three college basketball coaches melt down and it makes Jerome Tang look tame. We have a Gary Lezak story for you and our Final Final is about a tasty treat changing its ingredients.

The SAVE Act is being marketed as common-sense election security. But here's the key question: what problem is this bill actually solving? Federal law already prohibits noncitizens from voting in national elections. Voter registration forms require applicants to attest—under penalty of perjury—that they are U.S. citizens. Multiple audits and investigations, including those conducted by Republican-led states, have consistently found noncitizen voting to be exceedingly rare. #SAVEAct #VotingRights #ElectionLaw #DemocracyIndependent media has never been more important. Matt breaks down the first Elite Series stop of the season on Lake Guntersville that was won by Hank Cherry with an OLD SCHOOL technique. Down in Florida, Drew Gill won the MLF Pro Circuit by using Livescope to target postfrontal largemouth with an Alabama Rig.
In this episode of The Pro Audio Suite, the team digs into a large-scale remote recording with Robert Marshall, capturing a full orchestra and 100-plus voice choir performing Handel's Messiah inside a church. Robert breaks down his microphone choices, including Neumann KM184s, Austrian Audio CC8s, Schoeps mains, and why ORTF still delivers a convincing stereo image in complex acoustic spaces. We also talk about spot mic placement for piano and soloists, blending ambience naturally without artificial reverb, and the realities of recording live with zero second chances. The conversation drifts into mobile recording rigs, spinning-disk backups, FireWire laptops, remote recording trucks, and the kind of gear paranoia that only comes from doing this work solo for decades. It's a proper deep dive into classical capture, stereo technique, redundancy, and why "old-school" workflows still hold up in 2026. Behind the scenes of fisheries policy shaping how anglers fish, access bait, and protect opportunity nationwide. Live bait fishing, artificial reef habitat, and red snapper seasons are some of the big flashpoints of the day shaping the future of recreational angling. Fisheries leaders from the American Sportfishing Association and conservation policy experts sit down with Sportsmen's Voice host Fred Bird to unpack three critical battles every serious angler should understand. First, we dig into the emerging push to restrict interstate live bait sales. Framed publicly as an invasive species concern, these proposals could effectively end live bait fishing in entire regions; especially for ice fishing, panfish, and entry-level anglers. The conversation breaks down why fisheries scientists and state wildlife agencies are pushing back, how bait dealers already operate under strict biosecurity standards, and what these bans would mean for participation, local economies, and fishing heritage. Next, we shift offshore to the Gulf of Mexico and the Rigs-to-Reef program. Decommissioned oil platforms have quietly become some of the most productive fish habitat in American waters. You'll hear why keeping these structures in place matters for red snapper, reef fish, and saltwater anglers and what bipartisan legislation aims to fix in the current permitting process. Finally, we cover red snapper management in both the Gulf and South Atlantic, explaining how state-led data collection has transformed seasons from just days to months. This episode offers a clear look at why better data means more days on the water—and how anglers play a role in that future. Welcome to Episode 353 of The Kibbe & Friends Show — and yes, this is the second show of 2026, which means we're officially back to doing what we do best: talking cars, talking nonsense, and occasionally learning something by accident. We kick things off with Quitters Day (the second Friday in January when New Year's resolutions go to die), debate the nation's fittest and fattiest states, and then I take you inside my newest obsession: building a full-blown racing sim rig at home with real force-feedback hardware, a real race seat, and even a vibration unit so you can feel rumble strips in your bones. It's part race car, part erector set, and entirely ridiculous. Then it's time for our Dukes of Hazzard review, now available on YouTube as part of Phase 4 of the show. This week we're breaking down Season 1, Episode 2, “Daisy's Song,” one of the original Georgia-filmed episodes. Daisy discovers her song has been recorded — but she never got paid — which sends Bo and Luke undercover to shut down a full-blown record piracy operation run by Boss Hogg himself. This episode delivers major Dukes lore, including why the General Lee's doors are welded shut, plus some of the earliest and best screen time for both the General and Daisy's Roadrunner. Final score from all of us: a unanimous 10 out of 10. The post K&F Show #353: Quitters Day 2026 and Killer Racing SIM Rigs // Dukes VIDEO Review S1E2 “Daisy's Song” first appeared on The Muscle Car Place.
What happens when offshore rigs become thriving fisheries and why lawmakers are finally paying attention. Kicking off 2026, The Sportsmen's Voice Roundup goes straight to Capitol Hill for a timely update on one of the most important fisheries conservation tools in the country: the Rigs to Reefs program. Fresh off congressional testimony, Chris Horton, CSF's Sr. Director of Fisheries Policy, breaks down what sportsmen and women need to understand about how offshore energy structures are transformed into long-term fish habitat and why that matters for coastal ecosystems and recreational fishing access. This conversation goes beyond politics and into the science. You'll hear how artificial reef structures support real fish productivity, increase biomass, and create ecosystems that simply wouldn't exist without them. Drawing on decades of data and peer-reviewed research, Horton explains why Rigs to Reefs isn't just about attraction, but about sustaining healthy saltwater fisheries for generations of anglers. The episode also tackles common misconceptions around offshore policy, including cost-sharing, industry involvement, and how state fish and wildlife agencies reinvest funds directly into fisheries management and habitat improvement. For anyone passionate about saltwater fishing, coastal conservation, or how federal and state policy shapes the outdoors we enjoy, this is an insider look at how conservation, science, and legislation intersect. Whether you're a Gulf Coast angler, a traveling sportsman, or someone who cares about the future of America's fisheries, this episode provides clarity on why these structures are worth fighting for and how the sporting community can play a role in shaping the outcome.
