In this week's message, Paul explores the biblical framework of provision, reminding the church that God is the ultimate source and owner of all we have. Drawing primarily from 2 Corinthians 9, he introduces a powerful distinction between "seed" and "bread." Bread represents God's provision intended for our enjoyment and sustenance, highlighting His desire to bless His people. Seed, however, is provision purposefully entrusted to us to be sown generously into the kingdom. Paul warns against the danger of consuming our seed, emphasizing that discernment between the two requires seeking God's wisdom. There are various biblical expressions of generosity, including tithing, offerings, almsgiving, and apostolic giving. Let us continue growing as a mature, resourcing base-church, advancing God's kingdom locally and globally. Let us embrace a culture of intentional generosity, believers shift their focus from human effort to trusting Jehovah Jireh, recognizing that how provision is stewarded is fundamentally an act of worship.

“Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers.” - Mark 11:17 Does our church reflect the Jesus' heart of it being a "house of prayer," or has it become a theatre for spectators? In this message Andy continues the sermon series "As We Gather," focusing on the vital importance of prayer in the life of the church. Highlighting where Jesus declares, "My house shall be called a house of prayer," the sermon explores how modern churches can often prioritize worship, teaching, or fellowship while neglecting the foundational practice of intercession. Andy invites the church to shift its culture toward being a people of prayer, where collective, bold, and persistent petitioning becomes the heart of their identity, mirroring the actions and priorities of the early church described in Acts. He also challenges congregants to move beyond public displays of piety and cultivate an authentic, private prayer life. He emphasizes that true spiritual growth stems from an intimate, personal relationship with God the Father rather than just performing rituals in front of others. And building on the concept of the priesthood of all believers introduced in the previous week, Andy argues that church should not be a passive experience of spectating or observation. Instead, he calls the congregation to active participation and genuine connection, warning against the pitfalls of snobbery, spectating, or spiritual sleepiness. He asserts that the church is designed to be a place where everyone contributes, prays, and ministers to one another.

In this Series Introduction to "As We Gather," Andy challenges us to move beyond mere content consumption toward authentic, consequence-driven discipleship. Drawing on the metaphor of a home-cooked meal versus a restaurant-meal, he argues that the context in which faith is practiced matters as much as the content delivered. He contends that the Western church has drifted toward a model of spiritual consumption, comprehension without conviction and content without consequence, much like the Pharisees whom Jesus rebuked in Matthew 23. Using 1 Peter 2 and 1 Corinthians 12, he calls every believer into the priesthood of all believers, urging the church to recapture the priorities of the early church, particularly in the areas of mutual ministry.

In this sermon, Wes reminds the church that while we live in the middle of a spiritual war with deception, temptation, and worldly seduction all around us, our ultimate calling is to prepare for the wedding of the Lamb. Drawing from Revelation, Genesis, and the story of the Church in Ephesus, he emphasizes that holiness, faithfulness, and love for Jesus are the true weapons of spiritual warfare. Rather than striving in fear or fighting like the world, the Bride makes herself ready through daily obedience, steadfast love, and living as people whose lamps are burning for the Bridegroom.

Tyrone Daniel challenges us to pursue deeper intimacy with Jesus, remain centred on His purposes, and live proactively in their God-given mission, knowing all the church's plans, provision, and power are in Christ.

Andy preaches from Isaiah 40 and Luke 1, drawing on Zechariah's story to challenge us to stop speaking doubt and start declaring God's promises, preparing the way for His work in our city.

This week, Andy preaches on what it looks like to yield our lives to God. We can't hold the better things God has without yielding the lesser things, through fasting, prayer, and letting go of our own wants.

In Mark Chapter 5, as Jesus walked through town he was stopped by a man named Jairus. He begged Jesus to heal his daughter, and as Jesus walked with him, a woman stopped them in their path, asking for healing.In this week's sermon, Wes Holmes said this: "An unhurried faith is willing to allow Him to lead.”Is your faith in a hurry? Are we looking at what God's doing for others and growing impatient with the things we want for ourselves?

In week 4 of our NT25 series, we look at the Sermon on the Mount, and how Jesus came not only to fulfill the law set out in the Old Testament, but to actually raise the bar for us and how we live. Though the bar was raised, Jesus also showed grace and mercy.  ‍
