Reclaiming My Theology is a podcast and community taking our theology back from ideas and systems that oppress. My name is Brandi Miller, some of you know me as @brandinico in online spaces. For over a decade, I have been exploring, unlearing, and reimagining my faith outside of systemic oppression and want to bring you along with me! Each season of the podcast will be a deep dive into a form of systemic oppression and ask how the values of oppressive ideas shape our hearts, minds, politics, and lived experiences. There are so many things to reclaim our theology from: white supremacy, patriarchy and misogyny, capitalism, homophobia, ableism and more. As we launch our first season, we will be reclaiming our theology from white supremacy. Each episode, I will talk to a guest about how the attributes of oppressive ideologies have infiltrated how we see ourselves, each other, and God. We will learn from marginalized communities who practice a different way, and seek to create a more just faith experience together.

    Ivy Insights

The Reclaiming My Theology podcast is a breath of fresh air in the world of Christian podcasts. Hosted by Brandi, the podcast covers a wide range of topics and brings in diverse voices to discuss theology, faith, and culture. It introduces listeners to new perspectives and challenges traditional ways of thinking. Brandi's passion for these conversations shines through, and she creates a space where guests can share their insights with clarity and humility.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the variety of topics it covers. From discussions on white supremacy to homophobia, purity culture to sexism, each episode explores important issues within Christianity that often go unaddressed. The guests bring unique perspectives and experiences, making for engaging and enlightening conversations. This diversity allows listeners to see beyond their own limited worldview and encourages them to think critically about their faith.

Another standout aspect of this podcast is Brandi's ability to ask thoughtful questions that elicit deep insights from her guests. She creates an environment where they feel comfortable sharing their stories and perspectives, leading to rich conversations that challenge listeners' assumptions. Her humility and openness to learning shine through in her interviews, making it easy for listeners to connect with her journey.

However, one area where this podcast could improve is in the pacing of the conversation. Some listeners have mentioned that Brandi speaks quickly at times, making it hard to fully grasp everything she says. Slowing down her speech would greatly benefit those who struggle to keep up with fast-paced dialogue.

In conclusion, The Reclaiming My Theology podcast is a gift for those seeking new perspectives on faith and theology. Through engaging conversations and diverse voices, it challenges traditional beliefs and encourages listeners to think critically about their own faith journey. Despite some minor flaws in pacing, this podcast is a valuable resource for anyone looking to expand their understanding of Christianity in today's world.
