Find out what the Bible actually teaches about marriage, sex and divorce and how to have a healthy and happy marriage.
Try before you buy? No. An important part of becoming one in marriage is the process of learning one another with each other. Relationships (and sex) take curiosity and communication, and the Perrys talk about how there's joy in figuring things out together. Our bodies matter to God. There's protection in His design for sex to be experienced within the covenant of marriage, and God is grieved any time we give our bodies away. A conversation like this can feel condemning, but God is merciful to restore our purity, remove memories of past intimacy, and help us point others to the hope of the Gospel too. Since then, thousands of pilots like Dr. Paul, were authorized to use deadly force on airborne “evil-doers” if the situation called for it.The late David Bowie was a rock star known for a wide variety of hit songs. Tom Logue - November 23rd 2025 You can't have too high a view of marriage—but your view of the kingdom must be higher. This week, Tom continues our King and His Kingdom series in Matthew 19:1–12 (Part 2), pressing into some of the most sensitive topics of our cultural moment: marriage, divorce, gender, sexuality, and singleness. He shows how Jesus confronts trivial divorce and a culture that degrades women, revealing a God who dignifies and defends them. Tom also addresses gender dysphoria with both clarity and compassion, insisting that birth gender matters because God lovingly assigns it, and that the remedy is not hardening our hearts but yielding them to the Maker's hands. Finally, he unpacks Jesus' affirmation of celibacy and singleness as a gift—“better seats in the house” for undivided devotion to Christ—and calls us to see that whether married or single, the point is not our status but His kingdom. Tom Logue - November 16th 2025 A soft heart welcomes the kingdom — a hard heart keeps it out. This week, Tom continues our King and His Kingdom series in Matthew 19:1–12, where Jesus is confronted about marriage, divorce, and sexuality. In a culture — ancient and modern — that treats people and marriage as disposable, Jesus calls us back to God's original design: one man and one woman, united in covenant, not consumerism. Tom exposes how hardness of heart keeps us from being formed by God, and how the softness of surrender leads to real freedom. From Play-Doh analogies to powerful truths about covenant love and sexuality, this message challenges every listener — married or single — to yield to the Artist's hands and trust His good design. This week on TOWTW Podcast, Chelsea sits down with Dr. Diane to tackle the question every woman in an affair has asked: "Why does sex with my affair partner feel so different than sex with my husband?" Dr. Diane—who holds two doctorate degrees in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture—breaks down the real reasons: new relationship energy, novelty, how female arousal actually works, and why boredom in marriage isn't inevitable. They explore what your affair is really revealing about unmet needs, the role your nervous system plays in desire, and practical ways to bring that chemistry back into long-term relationships. This isn't about shame or fixing what's broken—it's about understanding your body, reclaiming playfulness, and discovering that passion doesn't have to die just because you've been together for years. Because the affair isn't the answer; understanding your desire is.ASK US A QUESTION We answer questions from other women and wives on our podcast: Submit yours here: https://towtw.com/ask HOW WE CAN HELPApply for 1:1 Coaching: https://towtw.com/coaching OUR LINKSWebsite: https://towtw.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theowandthewife/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@theowandthewife

When Chrissy Horton, content creator and mother of six, joined the show, a clip from our conversation went viral with more than 8 million views on X and set off a wave of controversy. The reason was simple: we suggested that men can choose lifelong celibacy as a priest or abstain from sex in marriage during postpartum recovery. Now Chrissy is back, and this time her husband Tim joins the conversation. Together they respond to the backlash and share an unfiltered look at marriage, masculinity, and what it really means for men to embrace self-control. We explore whether self-control can be seen as a masculine virtue, what men actually think about periods of abstinence required when practicing NFP, and how couples navigate these choices in real life.Along the way, Chrissy and her husband open up about the behind-the-scenes details of their love story and the daily adventure of raising a large family. The Church must speak up, disciple up, and train up a generation to navigate through cultural issues with truth and love. How do we do that? We do that through a partnership between the Church and the home. || Pastor Dave Marsh
In part 2 of this series, Pastor Dave concludes our study on marriage, sexuality, and gender by sharing some of the real-life consequences of living outside of God's design and how we can respond or love those in our life who might be living an ungodly lifestyle.
A lot of times, we assume that younger generations are just smarter than their parents. And it's probably true that younger folks understand emojis and technology better than the older folks but... there are some really important things that our older generations understood that sometimes the modern generations are lacking. It seems like culture is always telling us that we need to leave behind the old - to always be progressing, but sometimes progress is not actually progress. In this series, we are going to be learning to think Biblically about things like marriage, sexuality, and gender.
Miranda July's staggering new novel ‘All Fours' might just completely change the way you think about your life. Miranda is not one for sticking to the rules. An LA based artist, writer and award-winning filmmaker, she has been creating unapologetic, boundary pushing work since her involvement in the Riot Grrrl feminist movement of the 1990s, where she gained recognition for her zines and performance art. She has gone on to create across many mediums, including her breakthrough 2005 feature film debut, "Me and You and Everyone We Know," which she wrote, directed, and starred in. The film garnered critical acclaim, winning the prestigious Camera d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. You might have noticed Miranda July's name popping up all over the place since the release of ‘All Fours' last month, and there is a reason why. This book is astonishing. It takes everything you think you know about what it means to be a woman in mid life, a mother, a lover, a friend, and makes you rethink it all. The story follows a woman in her forties who embarks on a physical and metaphorical journey of rediscovering herself. In this episode Annie and Miranda unpick some of the brilliant themes from the book including the institution of marriage, motherhood, perimenopause, hormones, sex, as well as real experiences from post menopausal women (positives and negatives). They also discuss Miranda's upbringing, her personal changes and how her life bleeds into her work. Listen to this episode and then go and buy this book immediately. Sermons – New Life in Christ Church | Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania
The Biblical sexual ethic is liberating and empowering. That's because it isdirectly connected with God's design and purposes leading to human flourishing.Just because it is good doesn't mean it is easy as the world turns the goodcreation of God into something different and constantly presses false views ofsexuality our way. Our own sinful nature is inclined to use this gift of God forsinful self-satisfaction. We need the clear vision that comes through God and HisWord, something Jesus gives us in the Sermon on the Mount. Today we will lookat the Sermon on the Mount and Jesus Words on sexual purity.

In Hebrews 13:4, the writer of Hebrews states that God will judge the sexual immoral person. What is this judgment? Who is the sexual immoral person? Is this a believer or an unbeliever? And what about David who coveted another man's wife, committed adultery with Bathsheba, had her husband killed, then lied about it all? Will he be judged by God for his immoral behaviors? In this episode, Brandi is joined by Ben and Andrea Emerson to talk about the impacts of purity culture on relationships- marriage in particular. They talk about the expectations given about and before marriage and the ways that the tools we are often given in our faith experiences fail to set us up for health and enjoyment in our relationships.
