This is a very slippery slope. I will always be a huge supporter of all the men and women in law enforcement. But every now and then the service they provide is altered for one reason or another. I'm thankful that the arresting officer found Andrew when she did so he wouldn't have gotten back on the road before he harmed himself or anyone else. Because drunk driving is never acceptable. But knowingly fabricating a felony cocaine charge is not acceptable either. This false cocaine charge unfortunately cost Andrew his 16 year career as a Clearwater firefighter, his character and almost his life. The media ran with this and the officer continued to demonize Andrew by further telling the media that Andrew had a bag of cocaine on his chest when they found him in his truck (which was bold faced lie) Andrew never got a chance to explain himself or the circumstances. He was railroaded into the ground by local news media, radio shows and the public. I had Andrew on so that he could tell his side of this story.
