But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. The fruit of the Spirit is lovey, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law. The son that is the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave though he is the owner of everything. Yet he is under guardians and managers until a date set by his father. When the fulness of time had come, God sent forth his Son so that we might receive adoption as sons. You are no longer a slave, but a son and then an heir through God.
All who rely on works of the law are under a curse; it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, the righteous shall live by faith. In Christ Jesus, the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles. Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions. Is the law then contrary to the promises of God/ Certainly not! The Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. Now Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. In Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. There is neither Jew nor Greek. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel. I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles. Behold, the Lord will come in fire; those slain by the Lord shall be many. For I know their works and their thoughts, the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. They shall come and shall see my glory; I will set a sign among them. From them I will send survivors to the nations; to the coastlands far away, that have not hear my fame or seen my glory and they shall declare my glory among the nations. They shall bring all your brothers from all the nations as an offering to the Lord, to my holy mountain. For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain. They shall go out and look on the dead bodies of those who oppose God, an abhorrence to all flesh.

Look down from heaven, from your holy habitation. You are our Father! Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down! No eye has seen a God besides you. From of old no one has heard by the ear, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Who is this who comes from Edom, in crimson garments from Bozrah, he who is splendid in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? So you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name.

The Lord saw it, and it displeased Him. A redeemer will come to Zion. Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has come upon you! Lift up your eyes, they all gather, they come to you! Your sons come from afar, your daughters shall be carried on your hip. And I will beautify my beautiful house.
Isaiah continues to point out how far away God's people are from him and we start to see the work of God as He leads His people into confession of sins and forgiveness.
The next two Sundays we will see God's people exposed in their worship of God and some of them will confess. Chapter 58 of Isaiah shows us their vain suffering.
"Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people's way." Thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with hi who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Peace, peace to the far and to the near," says the Lord, "and I will heal him. There is no peace, " says my God, "for the wicked."

This is love. It is out of love the Father gave His Son, that the Son would give His life, the Father and the Son gave the Spirit, to save sinners from misery and to lead their church into glory for all eternity to worship the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit forever. It was for this that Jesus came to earth as a Baby.

Sing to the Lord a new song! Shout from the tops of the mountains! The Lord is pleased for righteousness sake and for the Law to make them glorious! I am the Lord your God, and beside me, there is no savior!
