When Betrayal is Confessed, What are Healthy Boundaries for the Partner & Addict?

Porn, Betrayal, Sex and the Experts — PBSE

When betrayal is confessed, both partners are immediately forced into territory they never chose. In this episode (#319), we address a powerful submission from a man whose pornography use and delayed disclosure led to the end of a serious relationship. We unpack why betrayal permanently changes a relationship's landscape and why healthy boundaries for the betrayed partner begin with space, agency, and the right to decide what future—if any—feels authentic. Boundaries are not punishments; they are acts of self-protection and clarity in the wake of shattered trust. We also address a critical but often misunderstood issue: waiting for the “right time” to tell the truth. While many addicts believe delayed honesty is protective, we explain how it actually constitutes integrity abuse and creates layered, complex trauma for the partner. By managing the timing and flow of truth, the addict unintentionally manipulates the relationship and deprives the partner of informed consent. We emphasize that honesty at all costs is not about guaranteeing forgiveness—it is about preserving reality, which is the foundation of any healthy boundary. Finally, we turn to the addict's side of the boundary equation. Addicts do not get to set boundaries on betrayed partners—but they must establish uncompromising internal boundaries around truth, transparency, and integrity. We discuss what it means to continue recovery when honesty leads to rejection, and why authentic change must eventually be internally motivated rather than driven by fear of loss. Even when a relationship ends, living honestly prepares an addict to become a healthier partner in the future and prevents repeating the same cycle of deception and harm. For a full transcript of this podcast in article format, go to:   When Betrayal is Confessed, What are Healthy Boundaries for the Partner & Addioct?Learn more about Mark and Steve's revolutionary online porn/sexual addiction recovery and betrayal trauma healing program at—daretoconnectnow.comFind out more about Steve Moore at:  Ascension CounselingLearn more about Mark Kastleman at:  Reclaim Counseling Services

It's Thursday, January 8th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Columbian pastor killed on New Year's Eve Armed individuals shot a Protestant pastor to death in Colombia on New Year's Eve. Pastor José Otoniel Ortega was a leader in the Foursquare Gospel denomination. He was celebrating the start of the New Year with his family at the time of the attack. The South American nation has faced a long-running internal conflict. Sadly, criminal groups in this conflict often target religious leaders for opposing violence. At least 10 Protestant leaders have died in such killings over the last year in Colombia. Christian Solidarity Worldwide said Ortega's denomination described him as “a beloved pastor, a faithful servant, a man who walked with God, who preached the word with love and gave his life to Kingdom service.” Venezuelan Evangelical groups calling for prayer Evangelical organizations in Venezuela are calling for prayer and peace as the country faces political upheaval. A message from the Evangelical Council of Venezuela stated, “We reaffirm our confidence in the sovereignty of God, who reigns over the nations and guides history according to His eternal purpose. … As a church, we remain committed to preaching the Gospel, building up God's people, and the pursuit of the common good.” The statement comes after the United States captured Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro over the weekend. Psalm 75:6-7 says, “For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.” America gets 40 million barrels of Venezuelan oil Interim authorities in Venezuela will be handing over 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States. U.S. President Trump announced the news on Tuesday. He wrote on Truth Social, “This oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States!” President Trump and top U.S. oil executives plan to meet Friday. They are planning major investments in Venezuela's oil sector. Abortion deaths totaled 73 million worldwide in 2025 Abortion deaths rose to over 73 million last year according to Worldometer's analysis of data from the World Health Organization.  Worldometer reports 140 million total deaths in 2025. Sixty-seven million of those deaths were attributed to a cause other than abortion.  That means the killing of unborn babies accounted for over 50% of deaths last year. Once again, abortion was the leading cause of death in the world. Romans 3:15-18 says, “Their feet are swift to shed blood; destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Texas and Florida sue FDA over generic abortion kill pill In the United States, Texas and Florida filed a lawsuit last month against the Food and Drug Administration. The lawsuit challenges the FDA's decision to approve a new generic version of the abortion drug mifepristone. The case also challenges rules that allow women to easily obtain such abortion pills through the mail. It adds, “The United States Food and Drug Administration is responsible ‘for protect[ing] the public health by ensuring that … drugs are safe and effective.' Yet the FDA's approval and deregulation of abortion drugs have placed women and girls in harm's way.” Trump cuts social service funding to blue states over fraud concern The Trump administration cut social services funding to Democrat-led states over fraud concerns on Tuesday. The Department of Health and Human Services froze the $10 billion in funding to New York, Illinois, California, Minnesota, and Colorado. This follows the department's decision last Tuesday to freeze $185 million in child care payments to Minnesota. Daycare centers run by Somalis in the state are facing major allegations of fraud.  Christian author Phillip Yancey confessed 8-year affair Philip Yancey, the bestselling Christian author, has admitted to having an extramarital affair with a married woman for eight years and has stepped away from ministry, reports the Christian Post. In an emailed statement to Christianity Today, where he was editor-at-large, the 76-year-old Yancey stated that “I confess that for eight years I willfully engaged in a sinful affair with a married woman. My conduct defied everything that I believe about marriage. It was also totally inconsistent with my faith and my writings and caused deep pain for her husband and both of our families.” Yancey added, “I have confessed my sin before God and my wife, and have committed myself to a professional counseling and accountability program. I have failed morally and spiritually, and I grieve over the devastation I have caused.” Calling the affair “my great shame,” Yancey added that he was “now focused on rebuilding trust and restoring my marriage of 55 years. Having disqualified myself from Christian ministry, I am therefore retiring from writing, speaking, and social media.  Instead, I need to spend my remaining years living up to the words I have already written. I pray for God's grace and forgiveness — as well as yours — and for healing in the lives of those I've wounded.” Hebrews 13:3 says, “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Phillip Yancey was the author of several notable Christian books, including Disappointment with God, Where is God When it Hurts?, The Jesus I Never Knew, What's So Amazing About Grace?, Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? and Where the Light Fell. U.S. government encouraging more whole foods & protein, less sugar And finally, the Trump administration released new dietary guidelines for Americans yesterday.  The policy encourages people to eat more whole foods and protein while consuming less processed foods and added sugar. The guidelines noted, “For decades, federal incentives have promoted low-quality, highly processed foods and pharmaceutical intervention instead of prevention.” Listen to comments from Brooke Rollins, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.  ROLLINS: “The new guidelines are all about putting the well being of Americans first, exactly where it should have been all along. This is the foundation that will make America healthy again, not just for those of us alive today, but for our children and our children's children and those coming behind. “God bless American families. God bless the American farmer and rancher and God bless America.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, January 8th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com). Richard Allen confessed to molesting his sister. She says it never happened. He confessed to molesting his daughter. She denies it too. He said he shot Abby Williams and Libby German. They weren't shot—they were stabbed. And those are the confessions Indiana used to convict him of murder.According to the 113-page Appellant's Brief now before the Indiana Court of Appeals, Richard Allen's confessions came after five months in maximum-security solitary confinement—a placement that violated Indiana's own 30-day policy for mentally ill inmates. By the time he started confessing, state doctors had declared him "gravely disabled." He'd dropped from 180 to 135 pounds. He was eating his own feces, drinking toilet water, and couldn't remember confessing days after he did it.Before solitary, Allen never broke. Two interrogations. Hours of pressure. Detectives lying about evidence. His own wife brought in as leverage. His response stayed consistent: "I did not murder two little girls. I don't care how stressed out I get, I am not going to admit to something I had nothing to do with."Five months later, he was asking guards if he was already dead. The prosecution called these confessions "logical and organized." They presented them as the unburdening of a guilty soul. But the jury never heard the audio—Judge Gull ordered it muted. They never heard Allen screaming incoherently, rambling about World War III, saying "Rocky Balboa is my favorite actor."They got silence. They got the state's narrative. And Richard Allen got 130 years.Today we break down what these confessions actually looked like—and why the details Allen got wrong may matter more than anything he got right.#RichardAllenTrial #DelphiMurders #TrueCrimeNews #FalseConfessions #AbbyAndLibby #WrongfulConviction #DelphiUpdate #CriminalJustice #LibbyGerman #AbbyWilliamsJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISDOES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The narrative shifts to April 1963, when a shaken Oswald confessed to Marina that he had attempted to assassinate General Edwin Walker. Marina found a note with instructions but did not report him, though she threatened to leave if he tried such violence again. Soon after, Oswald moved to New Orleans to build credentials as a pro-Castro operative, hoping to secure a visa to Cuba and eventually the Soviet Union. Gregory explains that Oswald did not actually want to return to Russia but needed a Soviet visa to enter Cuba. During this period, Oswald became increasingly delusional, inventing aliases and seeking status, though there was no evidence yet of a plan to kill President Kennedy. NUMBER 4

THE MURDER OF LOGAN AND THE PERSISTENCE OF VIOLENCE Colleague Professor Robert G. Parkinson. Twenty years after the lament, a surveyor encountered a weeping Native man in the woods who revealed he was Logan's nephew. The nephew confessed to killing his uncle near Lake Erie around 1780. Logan had become a "dangerous" free agent and powerful orator whose influence threatened the political stability of the Six Nations during the Revolutionary War, leading to an order for his silence. This revelation underscores the brutality of the Ohio country, which remained the bloodiest ground of the revolution even after the British surrender at Yorktown. NUMBER 6

#NEZNATION LIVE: Personal Branding 101

Georgia just admitted it certified over 300,000 ballots without following required procedures. Let that sink in. For years, anyone who questioned the 2020—especially in Georgia—was branded a conspiracy theorist, censored, banned, sued, or ridiculed by media and Big Tech. Officials swore everything was perfect. Critics were silenced. Now we know the truth wasn't even close. Fulton County failed to verify signatures on tabulator tapes—a basic, mandatory safeguard. This wasn't a minor paperwork issue. Sometimes things don't appear the way they seem. And the Charity Beallis case — from day one — hasn't felt right. When the story first broke, it looked like a clear-cut domestic violence tragedy. Abused mother loses custody to her convicted abuser. Found dead with her twin children the next day. But the more we dug into the court records, police reports, and documented history, the more complicated this picture became. Charity Beallis may have been a victim. Court records support that — her estranged husband Randy Beallis pled guilty to domestic battery after allegedly choking her in front of their six-year-old twins. She told a state senator she feared for her life. But there's another side to this story that nobody's talking about. Charity had her own arrests. Her own documented history of violence. She lost custody of her first son to her own father after a court found he would be "in grave danger" in her care. And in 2021, according to a police report, her father told officers that Charity admitted to shooting Randy's previous wife Shawna — who died from a gunshot wound in 2012 in a death ruled suicide. Now her father is contradicting that statement. The evidence from 2012 was destroyed years ago. And Charity can't answer any questions because she's dead. In this video, we go through the full documented record — the marriages, the arrests, the custody battles, the 2021 police report, and what it might mean for this case. We're not drawing conclusions. We're laying out the facts and asking the questions that need to be asked. Two women connected to Dr. Randall Beallis are now dead under strikingly similar circumstances. The truth is more complicated than any headline. #CharityBeallis #RandallBeallis #ShawnaBeallis #BonanzaArkansas #TrueCrime #ArkansasCrime #ColdCase #DomesticViolence #SebastianCounty #JusticeForTheChildren Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Magnifying the Christ of Christmas, Week 3The Confessed ChristMatthew 16:13-18 | King's Chapel Live StreamAt the heart of the Christian faith is one question that still demands an answer: "Who do you say that Jesus is?"In Matthew 16, Jesus brings His disciples to Caesarea Philippi and asks them what people are saying about Him. But He does not stop there. He presses deeper and asks them personally who they believe Him to be. Peter's response becomes one of the clearest confessions in all of Scripture. Jesus is the Christ. The Son of the living God.This message explores the context, content, cause, and consequence of that confession. We see that recognizing Jesus as the Christ is not something discovered through human wisdom alone. It is revealed by the Father. And when that confession is made, it changes everything. Jesus declares blessing, stability, and victory for those who stand on this truth. As we continue our Advent series, this sermon reminds us that Christmas is not only about a birth in Bethlehem. It is about a Savior who must be confessed, trusted, and followed. If you are wrestling with who Jesus truly is or being reminded of the foundation of your faith, this message calls us back to the central truth of the gospel. Shortly after, Oswald moved to New Orleans, seeking to build credentials as a "radical operative" for Fidel Castro, hoping to secure a Cuban visa that would lead to a Soviet visa. Paul Gregory notes that despite his growing delusions, there was absolutely no indication whatsoever that he was planning to assassinate the president of the United States at this time. Men confronting their addictions, their passivity, their wounds, and stepping into the identity God actually created them for.We prayed together. Trained together. Ate together. Confessed together. Cried, laughed, and fought through spiritual warfare together. And most importantly — we reminded each other that we are not meant to walk the narrow road alone. We were made for brotherhood.I also share a bit about my own life these past few weeks — October was essentially vacation mode and family time for me. It was needed. But now we're back. Watch the full coverage of the live stream on The Emily D. Baker YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/Biij9nLHQjc Day 6 of the Donna Adelson trial happened on August 29, 2025 and we heard the infamous recorded jail call where Charlie was disconnected, and Donna continued talking to people in the house with an open line. Her exchanges with Wendi about getting her affairs in order and taking a one-way flight, expressing concern about not being able to leave in time, were very revealing. This seemed to be a clarified version of the call, with a transcript provided. Following this, Donna was arrested at the airport. After Agent Sanford was excused and the jury left for lunch, the court took the unusual step of swearing in Donna Adelson. This happened after an off-the-record sidebar discussion. The court asked if she was on board with the defense's strategy for cross-examining two witnesses: the jailhouse informants. Donna, under oath, confirmed her agreement with the defense's cross-examination strategy and its impact on her rights. The court's unusual requirement for a sworn statement on defense strategy, typically seen only when a defendant testifies or not, highlights potential concern for protecting the record. Today was packed full of testimony that is potentially devastating to the defense. Following the lunch break, testimony was heard from two jailhouse informants. One of the informants, Patricia Byrd, revealed that Donna admitted to her that she committed the crime in order to “keep her grandkids, but it wasn't supposed to go that far”. Drina Bernhardt, another informant, revealed that Donna provided an alleged script that she was instructed to redo in her own handwriting. The day ended with the state resting their case, Donna's defense will present their case beginning on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
