In the third episode of Daddy Ball we speak with Bob who also coached his son up until a point, and then stepped back from coaching to let a paid coach take the reigns. Bob wanted to spend some time as a parent enjoying the game, and allowing another coach to step into his previous role helped him enjoy the game with his son more. Bob gives some great advice about letting your child in on the decision making process of trying out and joining a team. At the end of the day a very small percentage of players progress to College or Pro baseball, so if they are comfortable and having fun that is the most important part of the decision.
