OH heeeeyyyyy you guyyys!! PART 2 has arrived! Lets do a lil' recap shall we?  I got to see "Unsinkable: Titanic Untold" on the BIG SCREEN before its theatrical release. But now.. IT'S OFFICIALLY HERE!! 4/12/2024. It is in theaters now!!Thanks to the Pasadena International Film Festival and Unsinkable's AMAZING marketing team, Hawks Hill Films, I was able to not only attend as official press but met Director Cody Hartman, Producer/Screenwriter Brian Hartman, Actor Cotter Smith,  and Composer Scott Glasgow.This is a remarkable film that I HIGHLY encourage you Titanic gurus out there to see. Take the fam-- its rated PG because --- no boobs! But seriously, my biggest upset was it wasn't long enough for me but... we are in an era of 3 hour films (I'm looking at you Oppenheimer & Dune 2) so it felt far too short for me. I highly suggest you see the film before you listen to avoid SPOILERS ... You guys!!!  The secret finally gets to come out... I got to see "Unsinkable: Titanic Untold" on the BIG SCREEN before its theatrical release next Friday, 4/12/2024. Thanks to the Pasadena International Film Festival and Unsinkable's AMAZING marketing team, I was able to not only attend as official press but started my morning sitting down with Northern Ireland stage and film actress, Jayne Wisener. Jayne was absolutely a GEM & a total trooper chatting with me, despite her slightly tired voice. She has been traveling all over with the cast and crew of Unsinkable as we approach the official release-- perfectly timed on Titanic Anniversary weekend. Jayne and I were both a little nervous but quickly fell into sync --and not just because we had matching blazers on.  She even suggest a new soundbite to add to the pod--- and girl, I included it just for you!!! Stir yourself a cup... its time for Tea-Tanic!

An honorable Titanic week to you all! This week I start off by sharing how I memorialized the Titanic this week with myself, my co-workers, and you! Next, I am joined by my special guests and very good friends Tyler & Travis. Both of whom are active theatre goers in NYC! We sat down to revisit the musical and chat about their thoughts and praise over the Titanique musical now playing Off-Broadway. Finally, I finish off with my thoughts on Ewan Stewart publicly apologizing for his portrayal  of Officer Murdoch in Cameron's 1997 "Titanic". Cheers to 111 years.

Tea-Tanic Season 2 rolls on with our very first watch party!! This episode, I bring back my bestie and favorite fellow critic Adara Bryan. You longtime listeners should remember her from last seasons review episode of the Off-Broadway Titanic Musical "Titanique". As if we didn't get enough Titanic inspired forms of media... we are back to watch what you all voted for... "Titanic 666". Released on the 110th anniversary, "Titanic 666" is a Tubi Original horror film centered around the Titanic 3 setting sail from NYC with... wait for it... INFLUENCERS, a crazy medium who looks like a cross between and Annabelle Doll and Billie Lourde, and some dude with a real bad Irish dialect wearing a dead persons ring.  COOL. WARNING: This episode contains explicit language of the sexual nature due to direct quotation of the show and commentary on the material in "Titanique". After a year of Broadway being dark, it was no surprise that Adara and I were THRILLED to be able to purchase tickets and watch a a live streamed performance of a new parody musical that just so happened to be a parody of Titanic (1997).  Welp, the show wasn't all smooth sailing,  and certainly was not spared a disastrous end. I am a firm believer that  comedy should punch up, make your audience connect the dots, don't just drown them in d**k jokes.

Simon is the Great Grandson of Titanic Quartermaster Robert Hitchens Helmsman, otherwise known as “The Man Who Sank the Titanic” and who was famously portrayed in lifeboat #6 with Margaret  Brown in the 1997 film.
