(SPOILER) I first begin by talking about what's on the Daily Roundup including my thoughts on Survivor and Age of Attraction. Then Clare joins me (8:56) and it's 8-9 years since I've had Clare on the podcast, but I felt this was as good as time as ever to bring her back. As I always say, everyone's got a story. And Clare shares a story today about what she's been dealing with health wise that she's telling for the first time. I did not want to make this podcast about Dale, or the Bachelorette, etc. We do get into it later on, but very briefly. That's not what today's podcast is about. I appreciate Clare sharing her story publicly for the first time about how she's been dealing with Topical Steroid Withdrawl, how bad it got, and the lengths she went to take care of it. A must listen podcast. In this episode, we have climbing legends Jamie Logan, Jack Tackle, and Ken Currens on the podcast to retell the story of an accident and rescue on Denali in 1979. Jack Tackle and Ken Currens were climbing partners with a number of big mountains and first ascents under their belt, and in 1979, it was their first trip to the Alaska Range. They had decided to attempt the unclimbed southeast face of Denali (also known as Mt. McKinley). In the middle of the climb, Ken, on lead, took a 250 ft fall when snow gave way beneath him. Once the rope came taught, he was hanging in mid air over a cliff, his femur badly broken. The rescue that followed is a story for the ages. We dive into the mechanics of the accident, what Jack Tackle had to do to get help, and how Jamie Logan and Mugs Stump—two of the most impressive alpinists of the time—were critical in helping save Ken. She and Mugs are especially known for the first ascent of the Emperor Face the year before, and though Mugs has passed, Jamie was able to fill us in on their experience of the rescue. In this episode, these legends put together the pieces of history that they all remember a tad bit differently—in real time, 47 years later.
EPISODE 684 - Cyndi Brec - THE THERANS SERIES, hidden truths, the weight of untold legends, and the power of preserving the past while daring to shape the futureMy name is Cyndi Brec. I love writing my heroine into dangerous webs of deception while I sip French vanilla iced coffee. I'm an avid reader turned YA fantasy romance writer with a strong background in Recreational Therapy who has penned The Therans Series. I have never thought of myself as an author, more of a storyteller. During my downtime, I started writing while caring for my husband, kids, and extended family. I'm a creative wordsmith who weaves tales that transcend the boundaries of reality—pure storytelling magic enriched by the unique lens of a dyslexic novelist. Ahead of publication, I've snagged several endorsements from notable authors and influencers: Jonas Saul, the bestselling author of the Sarah Roberts Series; Alan Warren, NBC Radio Host/Producer/Author; and Suzy Vadori, Author and critic of the Fountain Series and three-time Aurora Awards Finalist. I have also secured a 5-star rating from Readers' Favorite for The Therans: Secrets Beneath Scars and the second novel in the series, The Therans: Legends Never Die.I'm just a regular gal—storyteller, speaker, and co-host of the P English Literature podcast. I joke around, saying, "I'm a sidekick podcaster interviewing authors and serving book banter." I also speak on ‘Time Management Strategies for Authors Success: Managing Your Minutes,' aiming to inspire fellow authors to live their dreams. I champion pursuing dreams and embracing challenges, refusing to let disabilities hold me back. My faith has grown through resilience and determination. After marrying, I traveled to Europe and many of the States. However, Ohio is my home, where my husband and I have raised two great kids and several energetic dogs. My love of history was enriched by co-owning a 200-year-old historic watermill with Rich for over 20 years, which has fostered an appreciation of historical knowledge and cultivation of The Therans Series. The Watermill is the backdrop to the Theran story world and the creation of fictional creatures.Currently, I am working on an anthology and co-authoring a historical nonfiction book. This book will detail a historic Water Mill, its historical accounts, and the restoration process.Stay epic, write wild, read like it's your superpower, and never stop causing chaos with your words!Air hugs!https://www.inkerspen.com/cyndi-brechttps://cyndibrecauthor.wordpress.com/Support the show___https://livingthenextchapter.com/podcast produced by: https://truemediasolutions.ca/Coffee Refills are always appreciated, refill Dave's cup here, and thanks!https://buymeacoffee.com/truemediaca

I'm your host, Barnaby Jones, and today we have a very special guest joining us:Sylvia Shults is the author of several books of paranormal nonfiction, including 44 Years in Darkness, Fractured Spirits: Hauntings at the Peoria State Hospital, and Grave Deeds And Dead Plots. She sits in dark, spooky, haunted places so you don't have to. She has spent the last twenty-five years working at a public library, slowly smuggling out enough words in her pockets week after week to build a book of her own. She lives a short, ten-minute motorcycle ride away from the haunted asylum that features in so many of her books. In this episode of The Wholesome Fertility Podcast, Michelle explores the powerful connection between creativity and fertility, revealing the science behind why women often feel more inspired during their fertile window. Drawing from a 2022 study published in Frontiers in Psychology, she breaks down research showing that originality peaks during ovulation and explains how fertility hormones influence creativity, brain chemistry, and emotional openness. Michelle also asks a deeper question: could creativity itself support fertility? Blending neuroscience, nervous system regulation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and hormonal health, she explains how creative flow can reduce stress, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and support reproductive function. This episode offers a fresh, holistic perspective for anyone trying to conceive, recovering from burnout, or seeking to reconnect with their natural life force through creativity and flow. Key Takeaways: Creativity naturally peaks during ovulation, especially in originality and novelty Creative states calm the nervous system and reduce fertility-disrupting stress hormones From a TCM perspective, creativity and fertility are governed by the same principle: flow Engaging in creativity can help regulate hormones, emotions, and reproductive energy Fertility is not just biological, it is energetic, emotional, and expressive Disclaimer: The information shared on this podcast is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice. They tried to get 'em protected. They were walking out $1 million from the airport right through TSA to Somalia. You don't hear that stuff in the news, do you? You don't hear that the person that was shot, the woman, was a known trained agitator. She had no business in that.

Srimad Bhagavatam [Bhagwat Katha] – Part 46 | Swami Mukundananda In this episode, Swamiji narrates the powerful Dwarka Leela of the Syamantak Mani and the events leading to Shree Krishna's marriage with Satyabhama. When false accusations were made against Krishna regarding the jewel, He personally traced its path, defeated Jambavan after a prolonged battle, and restored the truth. Jambavan then offered his daughter Jambavati in marriage, acknowledging Krishna's divine identity. Later, Satrajit repented for his mistake and offered his daughter Satyabhama to Krishna. Significantly, Krishna refused the jewel as dowry, setting a timeless example against greed and material attachment. This episode reveals how the Lord upholds dharma and remains untouched by wealth and worldly temptation. Swamiji highlights that Krishna's Dwarka Leelas demonstrate His supreme nature as Yogeshwar. Even while ruling in royal opulence, He remains detached, righteous, and compassionate. Through this divine pastime, we learn that truth ultimately prevails and that God protects both His honor and His devotees. About Swami Mukundananda: Swami Mukundananda is a renowned spiritual leader, Vedic scholar, Bhakti saint, best‑selling author, and an international authority on the subject of mind management. He is the founder of the unique yogic system called JKYog. Swamiji holds distinguished degrees in Engineering and Management from IIT and IIM. Having taken the renounced order of life (sanyas), he is the senior disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, and has been sharing Vedic wisdom across the globe for decades.

Swamiji explains King Parikshit's question: “If God is impartial, why does He seem to favor the devatas and oppose the daityas?” Shukadev Ji clarifies that the Lord is never biased — He only bestows grace. Even when He destroys demons, they receive liberation by His touch. To illustrate, Swamiji narrates the story of Shishupal, who harbored deep hatred for Krishna. At the Rajasuya Yagya, when Yudhishthir honored Krishna with Agra Puja, Shishupal hurled abuses repeatedly. Krishna, having promised forgiveness up to 100 offenses, patiently endured. But when Shishupal crossed the limit, Krishna released His Sudarshan Chakra and severed his head. Astonishingly, Shishupal's soul merged into Krishna, attaining liberation. Swamiji emphasizes the profound truth: however one fixes the mind on God — in love, anger, or even hatred — the soul is purified and uplifted. Just as the philosopher's stone turns iron into gold regardless of how it touches, Krishna's grace transforms all who connect with Him. This part highlights the untold depth of divine mercy: Shree Krishna's grace is so boundless that even sinners and enemies, when connected to Him, can attain liberation. Marc Elliott shares his controversial perspective on NXIVM, arguing that media narratives have distorted the truth about Keith Raniere and the organization. Living with severe Tourette syndrome for 20 years, Elliott found relief through NXIVM techniques when traditional medical approaches failed. He challenges the dominant narrative by examining inconsistencies in accusers stories, questioning the lack of due process in the trial, and arguing that salacious headlines and the MeToo movement created a climate where critical questioning was discouraged. Elliott explains how easy it is to be a victim in modern culture, the importance of evaluating evidence rather than emotions, and why he believes that prejudicial tactics corrupted the judicial process. This conversation explores media manipulation, the ethics of narrative control, and the uncomfortable space between believing victims and demanding evidence. Hosted on Acast. As originally told on Discovery ID's show, Toxic, Kelly believed she had learned to trust her instincts. A licensed therapist and homeowner who had already survived profound loss, she thought she had finally found the perfect partner when she met Chris—charming, attentive, and deeply loving, with no obvious red flags.⚠️ Content Advisory: This episode discusses emotional manipulation, coercive control, and relationship abuse. Listener discretion is advised. But after they married, everything changed. Kelly became mysteriously ill, doctors had no answers, and her husband began pushing her boundaries in ways that left her confused and isolated. As her health declined, Kelly followed a gut instinct that led her to a discovery she couldn't ignore—one that would set off a chain of events escalating into terrifying violence in Part 2.Resources & Links:
