    Ivy Insights

The Clinical Problem Solvers podcast is an excellent and highly informative show that is geared towards learners in the medical field. However, it offers something for individuals at all levels of expertise. Despite not being in the medical field myself (I'm an accountant), I thoroughly enjoy listening to the podcast. The intelligent medics on the show systematically go through symptoms, test results, and work out what is wrong with the patient, which I find both interesting and relaxing. The neurology episodes are my favorite, and I have a particular appreciation for Rhabi and Reza.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is that it caters to all types of learners. While most of the cases discussed are problems that I will never encounter in my lifetime, the hosts do a fantastic job of going through their thought process to arrive at a diagnosis. This has helped me organize my own thinking and made me a better instructor for my students. Additionally, they address important issues like family planning for women in medicine, which isn't often talked about openly.

While every episode is wonderful, one standout episode was number 137. It was packed with insightful discussion and schematics that were incredibly helpful. The guests on the show are outstanding, providing valuable knowledge and thought leadership. They give hope that we can dismantle racism in medicine and make healthcare antiracist.

As a DNP student in primary care, this podcast has been incredibly illuminating for me. The dialogues between the hosts shed light on pathophysiologic connections that textbooks often cannot convey. Their ability to communicate these processes and clinical manifestations is truly a gift. I am grateful for their willingness to share their knowledge.

In conclusion, The Clinical Problem Solvers podcast is essential listening for anyone interested in clinical reasoning, developing differential diagnoses, or internal medicine. Whether you're a medical student or an experienced physician looking to expand your knowledge base, this podcast provides high-value information in an accessible format. I highly recommend it to anyone in the medical field or those interested in learning more about medicine.
