The popular Netflix animated series 'The Dragon Prince' returned this month for a brand new season and Geekscape wants to learn what it's all about (Ian Kerner DID try and get me to watch the series years ago but what hasn't he tried to get me to watch...?)! Luckily, we've got our own cheat sheet for catching up on things with series writers Eugene Ramos and Michal Schick dropping in to talk all things 'The Dragon Prince'! What's the fantasy epic about? Why is it so insanely popular and how much longer with the story continue? And what have they learned from working with 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' head-writer Aaron Ehasz? There's a ton to learn and celebrate on this episode so join us for the journey! New episode alert!!!! This time around, Gavin and I discuss our first ever Don ‘The Dragon' Wilson film, the Richard W. Munchkin directed ‘Out for Blood' (1992). My personal favorite amongst the Dragon's extensive library of work, this straight-to-video classic is a step above the rest. With a slick, polished and highly professional look, it stands out amongst other low budget fare from that period, with an overall mise-en-scène that was on par with theatrically released genre-driven pictures from that period. We of course also focus on the extensive amount of action in the film, particularly that of the fight choreography by the great Eric Lee. We also give shout outs to friends of the show, the legendary Sifu Don Niam and the ultra talented Bruce Willow of the ‘Bruce Willow Podcast'. We hope you enjoy!

Wendy and I are back to discussing, dissecting and analyzing some of our favourite animation, this time it's the Netflix Original The Dragon Prince. We touch upon the shows highs and lows, our favourite characters, a few controversies*, and we speculate on possible directions future seasons could take. Enjoy and Drink Tea! *We recorded this before Netflix had confirmed a series pick up of 4 more seasons. Upon hearing the news I did some research to see if there was an update on the allegations against Aaron Ehasz and whether the misogynistic and toxic work environment of Wonderstorm Studios had improved since November (when the allegations were reported on). I was unable to find any update. Here is the original article from Inverse: https://www.inverse.com/article/60971-dragon-prince-aaron-ehasz-controversy If you want to read about a couple of the controversies Wendy and I touch upon in the episode.
