David Rothkopf and Joanna Coles unpack a weekend of political chaos that stretches from the collapsing Iran negotiations to the algae-filled disaster of Trump's reflecting pool renovation, exposing a presidency built on grift, dysfunction, and spectacle. As JD Vance is dispatched to Switzerland to negotiate an impossible peace deal, Trump's public undermining of his own vice president becomes a window into the increasingly fragile state of Trump's inner circle. David and Joanna dive into the bizarre Father's Day snub of Don Jr. vs Eric Trump and the mounting controversy surrounding Ivanka's Albanian ambitions. Rothkopf delivers one of his most blistering critiques yet, connecting failed foreign policy, a decaying reflecting pool, and an administration he sees as incapable of governing. Daniel Cormier IS BACK, this time after what was an incredible UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. On Sunday, DC's X (formerly Twitter) account was hacked, and he speaks on what exactly happened that night. Cormier explains that the screenshots of the direct messages between him and Eric Trump are not true, and the two of them had never spoken until that night at the event. Plus, DC speaks on Josh Hokit's remark about Michelle Obama, and why that had no place in the event on Sunday. #VolumeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Scotland has officially invaded America. The Tartan Army descended on Boston during the World Cup and reportedly drank flights, bars, and liquor stores dry. We break down one of the greatest fan stories in sports and whether Scotland has already won the World Cup of partying. Plus:
Turnbuckle Tavern is powered by G FUEL and Official Dick Lazer. Use code TAVERN for 20% off at GFUEL.com and DickLazers.com. Episode 190 is headlined by a major development in Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, as all parties have received approval to move the case toward private arbitration. We discuss what the canceled June 16 hearing, the July 10 status report, and the potential move to confidential arbitration could mean, not just legally but publicly, as questions grow about whether WWE and TKO may eventually test the waters for a Vince McMahon rehabilitation tour. We also break down CM Punk's expected WWE return. Punk has been announced for FanaticsFest on July 19, reports continue to point toward a return on or before the July 6 Raw near Chicago, and Dave Meltzer reports WWE's current plan is for Punk to join the SmackDown roster. We examine the teased Cody Rhodes program, why creative changes delayed his return, and what it could mean for SummerSlam. Rhea Ripley is dealing with issues both inside and outside the ring. WWE revealed that the Women's Champion is being evaluated for a knee injury suffered in Italy, while Ripley also opened up about fans crossing major boundaries, including showing up at her home and one person obtaining her personal phone number after being unable to purchase SmackDown tickets. On the AEW side, we look at ticket sales for Redemption in Montreal and Grand Slam Mexico, with both events showing encouraging early momentum. Redemption has distributed 4,782 tickets and is already approaching AEW's previous Bell Centre number, while Grand Slam Mexico sits at 5,146 tickets distributed, well above AEW's current 2026 attendance average. We also cover NJPW Dominion 2026, where five championships changed hands. Yota Tsuji regained the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, Shota Umino captured the IWGP Global Championship, YOH became the 100th IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Aaron Wolf reclaimed the NEVER Openweight Championship, and Great O Khan and HENARE captured the IWGP Tag Team Championships. Plus, Gabe Kidd returned and immediately inserted himself into the title picture. The road to G1 Climax 36 is now set as NJPW finalizes its play in matches. We discuss Aaron Wolf's rapid rise, the final qualifying matches, and how the field is shaping up before the tournament begins July 11 in Chicago. John Cena also shares new details on the planned John Cena Classic, including WWE's version of an All Star Game, a new championship, fan voting, cross brand exhibition matches, and the possibility, however unlikely, of one more match. Plus, UFC Freedom 250 becomes one of the strangest stories of the year. The FBI says it foiled an alleged attack plot targeting the White House event, Dana White publicly criticized Josh Hokit's remarks about Michelle Obama, Roman Reigns, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, Shane McMahon, and Declan McMahon were all in attendance, and Daniel Cormier found himself at the center of a bizarre social media controversy involving Eric Trump. From there, we head to TNA, where the company is undergoing major changes. Tessa Blanchard has been granted her release after reportedly declining an exclusive contract offer, while longtime creative figure Tommy Dreamer has mutually parted ways with the promotion after nearly a decade in leadership and creative roles. We break down the reported wrestling politics involving TNA, WWE, AAA, CMLL, and AEW that may have contributed to Blanchard's departure, discuss Dreamer's exit and his impact on the company behind the scenes, examine the reports linking Road Dogg to a potential role in TNA's creative future, and explore what these departures could mean for the company's direction moving forward. We also preview the week ahead, including Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against Gunther with Sami Zayn as special guest referee, Charlotte Flair facing Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring semifinals, Mercedes Moné battling Hazuki in the Owen Hart Tournament, AEW's continued build toward Forbidden Door, and a loaded slate of action from NJPW, TNA, and more. We can't blame Donald Trump for getting some shut-eye during the UFC fights staged in honor of his 80th birthday -- the rest of us didn't want to see that mess, either. Today, Dead Air with Steve Schmidt and Dean Blundell tears into the monstrosity that took place this weekend at the White House: from the weigh-in at the Lincoln Memorial to the bitcoin grift to the leaked DMs that have Eric Trump scrambling on X. PLUS: Team Trump limps away from the negotiation table with a truly head-scratching agreement to end the war with Iran. Is this "The Art of the Deal", Don? SAD! Visit patreon.com/muckrakepodcast to join the Patreon, support the ad-free show, and gain access to the Weekender, special events, and the Discord server. Co-hosts Jared Yates Sexton and Nick Hauselman break down Donald Trump's highly publicized 80th birthday peace plan, which is actually just an extension of the ceasefire with Iran. Jared details the staggering public and private costs, including $24 billion in unfrozen assets and a minimum of $300 billion in American-funded war reparations to a nation whose entire GDP matches that amount. While JD Vance takes to the airwaves to compare the deal to the unconditional surrenders of World War II, Nick and Jared expose the framework as a massive vehicle for market manipulation designed to kick economic and energy consequences down the road while bypassing crucial nuclear considerations. The corporate circus continues on the front lawn of the White House, which Trump transformed into an octagon for UFC 250. The duo reacts to the garish spectacle, which included fighter entrances from the Oval Office, flyovers, and fighter Josh Hoke's bizarre post-fight interview antics. They also dig into the deleted tweet controversy involving Eric Trump allegedly hunting for insider fighter data to place bets via direct message. Finally, they confront the reality of unchecked tech capitalism as Elon Musk officially becomes the world's first trillionaire, propped up by billions in government subsidies to form a new tech-military-industrial complex. The hosts close with a look at the quiet, bipartisan surrender to artificial intelligence as the Trump administration readies to buy shares in OpenAI while competitors like Anthropic warn of autonomous self-replication.

It was quite the spectacle on the South Lawn of the White House for the President’s 80th birthday. While the UFC event was spared the predicted extreme weather, the White House wasn’t too happy with the meteorologists who warned about possible lightening and downpours. But there were fireworks of another kind last night, including a vile comment made about former First Lady Michelle Obama, and an alleged texting hoax involving Eric Trump, who denies cheating allegations. The UFC 250 DM scandal involving Daniel Cormier and Eric Trump sits at the center of the episode after alleged Instagram messages surfaced suggesting requests for UFC betting intel ahead of fights at the White House, with screenshots posted and then deleted as both sides deny authenticity and claim hacking, fueling debate over whether the story is real or fabricated. The crew also reacts to the Knicks winning the NBA championship and what that result means for how the season is being interpreted, along with World Cup criticism focused on hydration breaks and concerns that the tournament has felt underwhelming so far. Ghost opens episode 111 with Trump's Air Force One gaggle, walking through Trump confirming the Netanyahu F-bomb call, comparing AI wealth sharing for Americans to Chavez's oil nationalization, and delivering the line of the week on the Strait of Hormuz: oil is flowing at $97 a barrel and it should have been $300. The biggest shift comes when Trump tells reporters he would be honored to meet the new Ayatollah, calls him probably a professional, and implies the press may have lied about him the same way they lie about Trump. Ghost maps out how this, the uranium entombment admission, the State Department killing Israel's Somaliland play, and Putin's SPIEF defense of Trump all add up to a coordinated squeeze on Netanyahu. Hunter Biden's viral X account gets its moment: the January 2021 hot mic plea deal clip, his posts torching Jake Tapper, Jared Kushner, and Eric Trump, and Ghost's cooperating witness theory. SPIEF closes the episode with Putin's multipolar world speech, Saudi Arabia as guest of honor signing 30 Russia agreements, the Russia-Uzbekistan nuclear plant launch, and Kirill Dmitriev announcing the signing of the Trump-Putin Alaska tunnel design agreement with a mysterious Asian partner now confirmed.

So Eric Trump is suing Jen Psaki. And I don't even care what the lawsuit is about. Seriously. At this point, if a Trump sues a Democrat, I assume somewhere there's a fax machine crying and three MSNBC producers stress-eating hummus. But I love the symbolism of it. Because for years these people weaponized government against Trump, weaponized the courts, weaponized intelligence agencies, weaponized leaks, weaponized social media. Democrats turned America into the world's first bureaucratic escape room. Every day under Trump was another clue: “To continue your presidency, solve this puzzle hidden inside a subpoena wrapped in a Russia hoax.”Now? Eric Trump says, “Cool. Your turn.”And suddenly the Left discovers legal fees are expensive when USAID isn't covering them. That's the beauty of MAGA. It's not just political anymore. It's cultural gravity. Trump didn't simply survive. He turned political persecution into a franchise model. Democrats thought they were building his prison cell. Instead they built a gymnasium where conservatives learned how to fight. And spare me this media fairy tale that MAGA is “falling apart.” They've been predicting the death of MAGA longer than Al Gore's been predicting the death of the planet. According to cable news, MAGA has died more times than Kenny on South Park. They tell us conservatives are furious with Trump over war policy, personality, tariffs, tone, Truth Social posts, golf scores, the angle of his tie, and probably the migration pattern of geese. Yet somehow, every Republican who publicly betrayed Trump politically evaporated like cheap cologne in Phoenix.Ten out of ten House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump? Gone.Five Republican Senators tied to impeachment efforts? Gone, including Bill Cassidy. The Bush dynasty? Politically taxidermied.Cheneys? The political equivalent of Circuit City.Romneys? Finished.Pence? Mike Pence has less support in the Republican Party than gluten-free biscuits at a Texas rodeo. And this matters historically because the Republican establishment used to operate like a country club with a velvet rope. You got approved by donors, consultants, think tanks, and guys named Whitaker who own loafers without socks. Trump bulldozed that system. MAGA voters looked at decades of “managed decline” from polished Republicans and said, “Maybe the billionaire from Queens screaming at CNN is onto something.”And here's the part the Left still cannot process: MAGA isn't held together by government dependency. That's why it survives attacks.Leftism? Different story entirely.Leftism would collapse inside a month if it had to survive without taxpayer subsidies and foreign influence money. One month. Thirty days. The political equivalent of a juice cleanse.Because modern Leftism produces almost nothing organically anymore. Every institution props it up artificially: academia, entertainment, NGOs, government grants, corporate DEI departments, media partnerships, foreign donors. It's the ideological version of a patient connected to fourteen machines going beep-beep-beep while MSNBC doctors stand around saying, “Vitals look strong!”No they don't.Imagine if Leftists had to balance a budget. Imagine if they had to run cities without deficits, corruption, or dependency. Imagine if they couldn't endlessly siphon taxpayer money into “equity initiatives” that somehow always end with consultants buying vacation homes.Meanwhile, conservatives already do what Leftists only hashtag about. They donate more privately. Volunteer more. Build businesses. Create jobs. The pigs are at the trough. Trump's expected overseas real estate income has tripled to $430 million in his second term. Eric Trump is doing deals in China while Taiwan goes unmentioned and Iran keeps arming the people killing Ukrainians and Americans. Nvidia's CEO is being paraded around as the administration floats opening AI chip markets to Beijing. Don Jr. is tied to a drone company that just landed a Pentagon contract — inside a defense budget heading toward $1.5 trillion, a 40% spike with no apparent guardrails on family conflicts of interest. This isn't politics. It's a national security fire sale, and the Angry Middle smells it. This solo briefing connects the dots the legacy press keeps siloed: the foreign income filings, the Saudi-linked licensing deals, the Pentagon trough, Kash Patel's reality-TV FBI tour, and the lesson from Hungary — that corruption, not ideology, is what finally moved Orban's voters. With 45% of Americans now independent and 60% of young people unaffiliated, the rigged two-party system is on notice. The question isn't whether people are furious. It's whether that fury gets channeled into November, into independent veteran candidates, and into the structural reforms — the Raskin list and beyond — that should already be law. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Join IVA and stand up to Trump's Forever Wars. -Learn more about Paul's work to elect a new generation of independent leaders with Independent Veterans of America. -Learn more about American Veterans for Ukraine here. -Remember Independent is an Attitude. -Learn more about The Headstrong Project for Veterans, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), and Department of Veterans Affairs resources in your area. Hawk breaks down the long history of Trump merchandise grifts targeting loyal MAGA supporters, from Trump Bibles and fake Gibson Les Pauls to NFTs now worth nothing, digital trading cards, gold high-top sneakers, and Trump watches with missing letters on the face. The $60 million phone scam sits alongside the $300 million election defense fund raised after 2020, money that was kept rather than spent on legal challenges. The pattern is consistent: non-refundable deposits, no contractual obligation, and supporters who return again and again regardless. One supporter put deposits on four phones and lost $400. The fine print protected the Trump family entirely. With gas prices climbing and questions about democratic institutions growing louder, the Trump phone story is a case study in the financial relationship between a political movement and the merchandise empire built around it. The Judge Jeanine Tunnel to Towers Foundation Sunday Morning Show
Joe Concha delivers a fast-paced commentary centered on media accountability and the perceived double standards of liberal figures. He highlights a potential defamation lawsuit by Eric Trump against MSNBC's Jen Psaki, using the conflict to frame the modern press as intentionally dishonest and "condescending." The show transitions through a series of political critiques, ranging from the successful diplomacy of Donald Trump's visit to China to the alleged "scams" embedded within the Democratic party platform. Convicted felon Trump went to China and brought his son Eric along on the nepo-baby express. Eric runs the family business. And by "family business," we mean a transnational crime network of bribes operating like a geopolitical yard sale, selling out our country to the highest bidder. While they were there, Dictator Xi Jinping told the U.S. to back off defending Taiwan. And Trump, in defiance of decades of established U.S. foreign policy, is suddenly sounding suspiciously wishy-washy on approving arms deals for Taiwan. Which is just music to Xi's ears. It's the 1930s all over again, complete with secret alliances of transactional autocrats, and the people forced to build their own resistance networks in the storm. How do we get through this era without having to literally storm the beaches of Normandy again? To help us figure it out, we're bringing you Part II of our discussion with Ciara Torres-Spelliscy. She is a Brennan Center fellow, a law professor at Stetson University, and the author of Corporatocracy: How to Protect Democracy from Dark Money and Corrupt Politicians. (And if you missed Part I, where we discussed how American corporations funded Trump's violent January 6th coup attempt, go back and listen to it right here). It's easy to despair right now, but the resilience of the people, especially powerful community networks, reminds us that the Constitution still matters, and protects everyone on our soil. We are not powerless against a corporatocracy eager to cash in on transactional autocrats. We just need to confront the absolute, unmitigated disaster that was the Reagan Revolution, undo its damage by building localized power through groups like the States Project, and commit to a relentless, stubborn defiance. We can and will do it, together. Because there's no other choice. To listen to this full episode, subscribe at the Truth-teller tier, which is just $5 a month, or higher on Patreon. Howie starts the show by discussing Judge Sanders, who, as you know messed up when even Gov. Healey says you should've hit him with a harder sentence. Thursday's meeting between President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping concluded with a banquet. Seated at tables in the ballroom were more than a dozen CEOs, among them SpaceX's Elon Musk, Apple's Tim Cook and Nvidia's Jensen Huang. It was also attended by Trump's son Eric Trump, who runs the Trump Organization, and his wife, Fox News host Lara Trump. The Financial Times' Joe Miller tells us more. Then, during the summit, President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have focused on trade, security, and stability.NPR China correspondent Jennifer Pak in Beijing shares the latest from the summit. And, Scott Tong reports from China on a podcast called StoryFM, modeled after This American Life. Jen Psaki looks at the political convenience of JD Vance's new anti-fraud talking points as he struggles to demonstrate some relevance while the rest of the Trump administration goes to China. But too much attention on fraud is a particularly awkward thing for Trump, who is trying to find a way to force the IRS to give him billions of taxpayer dollars, and while he his own son, Eric, with business interests in China, has joined him in traveling to Beijing. Senator Mark Kelly joins to discuss the corruption in the Trump administration and the incompetence of Pete Hegseth. Jen Psaki rounds up reporting on cost overruns, scheduling delays and quality defects in the work being done on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Despite going on at length about his role in picking the contractor without any bidding and the pool's new color, Trump is now quick to point the finger at "Interior." Rep. Joe Neguse talks with Jen Psaki about Trump's "gross waste of taxpayer resources." Rep. Ro Khanna joins to discuss Donald Trump's self-dealing. In 2025, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump launched "Trump Mobile," a smartphone designed and built entirely in America. Costumers could pre-order the phone by putting down a $100 deposit for the $499 phone. Since, the product dropped its "American made" promise, the phone did not ship on schedule, and the terms have redefined the $100 deposits as a "conditional opportunity if Trump Mobile later elects, in its sole discretion, to offer the Device for sale.” The company wants to use T-Mobile's network which is subject to federal government regulations, a conflict of interest. The US-Iran ceasefire is holding, but the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, the global economy is teetering on the edge of disaster, and America's precision weapons stockpile is badly depleted after repeated conflicts with Iran, with experts warning that it could have grave consequences for US readiness in the event of a conflict with China. Meanwhile, King Charles becomes the first British king to address Congress as the UK tries to use a royal charm offensive to paper over major differences on Iran, Mali's military government teeters on collapse after coordinated terrorist attacks rock the country and drive out Russian mercenaries, and the CIA's covert operations in Mexico blow up into a sovereignty crisis for President Sheinbaum. Also covered: more US foreign policy corruption (fun!) after Eric Trump lands a $24 million Pentagon contract and a member of US special forces is arrested for betting on military operations in Venezuela. Then Ben talks with Federica Vinci and Nick Antipov of Democracy Hub about their Anti-Authoritarian Toolkit that provides strategies to defeat autocrats worldwide. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. Tommy and Ben break down another chaotic and consequential week in global affairs. Trump blinks and extends the ceasefire with Iran, but the Strait of Hormuz remains closed as US-Iran negotiations stall. Meanwhile, an internal power struggle between Iran's elected leaders and military is complicating talks, and the human cost for ordinary Iranians continues to mount. In Lebanon, Trump stunned Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu by publicly ordering Israel to stop bombing, but the IDF continues to occupy southern Lebanon, and an explosive image of an IDF soldier desecrating a statue of Jesus Christ threatens to erode evangelical support for Israel. The guys also dig into the sprawling conflicts of interest and corruption plaguing Trump's foreign policy team: Jared Kushner's billion-dollar Gulf slush fund, Don Jr. and Eric Trump's drone grift, and the Trump family's foray into the crypto and fusion energy business. Finally, they talk about the historic election results in Hungary and Bulgaria, Trump's slow-rolling regime change efforts in Cuba, and reports that FBI Director Kash Patel is such a sloppy drunk that he's become a threat to national security. Then Tommy is joined by former USAID official Nicholas Enrich to talk about his new book, Into the Wood Chipper: A Whistleblower's Account of How the Trump Administration Shredded USAID.Preorder Ben's book All We Say: The Battle for American Identity: A History in 15 Speeches and subscribe to his Substack here. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here.
