“Well, this might be unwelcome news,” writes Andrew Yang, “but Kamala Harris is telling people in California that she is running for President again.” Yang, an entrepreneur who ran for President in 2020 as a Democrat, says his sources tell him Kamala's team is quietly laying groundwork for her to run in the next election – and why the DNC announcing that South Carolina “would be the first primary state in the 2028 Democratic primary” is a clue. “She showed up to a political event last weekend that was a pretty clear step in that direction,” says Yang. “As you might be able to tell, I think this whole thing is a disaster.” Andrew Yang joins Dr. Drew to discuss the next big Presidential election, AI's impact on jobs, and why he still champions UBI after famously proposing the Freedom Dividend to grant $1,000 per month to every American adult. Dr. Drew and Andrew also speak about their experience after competing together on FOX's new reality show Nation's Dumbest. Attorney Tom Renz returns to speak about a “betrayal” of MAHA after the CDC “gave Pfizer $1.24 billion for mRNA COVID vaccines including jabs for kids.” Dr. Kelly Victory reports on explosive new details from Dr. Anthony Fauci's COVID-19 diaries, recently released by Sen. Rand Paul in advance of Dr. Fauci's congressional hearing on July 29, 2026. 「 SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS 」 • FATTY15 – The future of essential fatty acids is here! America turned 250 and the party flopped. ecord 102 degree heat, a lightning evacuation of the National Mall, and a president speaking to rows of empty chairs after 11 p.m., where he misquoted the Declaration of Independence at the document's own birthday party. Then came 850,000 fireworks, a Code Red air quality alert, briefly the worst air of any major city on Earth, and a 100+ post Truth Social meltdown featuring attacks on a federal judge, pool water, and a Home Alone 2 throwback. Meanwhile, hundreds of masked Patriot Front members marched through DC with Confederate flags, and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum declined, three times, to condemn them. But that's only 25% of the show. The main event: Kamala Harris is running for president, and the receipts say so. The private call to Zohran Mamdani. The closed-door meeting with AOC. The outreach to Uncommitted Movement co-founder Abbas Alawieh and James Zogby. The policy briefings on China, AI, and Venezuela. She hasn't announced, but nobody schedules Venezuela briefings for fun. So this episode does something radical: it talks about Kamala Harris fairly. The real prosecutor record vs. the meme (1,956 marijuana convictions, 45 state prison sentences, and the reentry program that became a national model), alongside the criticisms that deserve daylight: the truancy law, the Kevin Cooper case, the cash bail brief. The Gaza record, why the skepticism is earned, and why the meetings are the cheap part. The DNC autopsy that blamed her for a loss engineered above her head while never once printing the word Gaza. The double standards no male politician has ever been handed. And the difference between accountability and self-sabotage, because one produces a nominee and the other produces a corpse with great quote tweets. Politics is not fantasy casting. If the choice is flawed competence or the fire, pretending they weigh the same is how the house burns down. President Trump honors Theodore Roosevelt at the newly completed presidential library in North Dakota, drawing lessons from his life as America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday. The Justice Department announces new charges against eight alleged Tren de Aragua members accused of carrying out brutal kidnappings and murders in Texas and Illinois. Former Vice President Kamala Harris reaches out to progressive leaders and Gaza activists as speculation grows that she is preparing another White House campaign. Two daredevil climbers scale the Empire State Building for a sky-high proposal that ends with a ring for her and handcuffs for them both. It's not what you think… My son served as a lead on Air Force 2 and worked closely with Vice President Kamala Harris — including the day there was a Havana Syndrome scare in Hanoi, and during the Afghanistan evacuation, when the plane was so full of people being rescued that he slept in the galley. In this Summer Shorts episode, Mechelle draws on those firsthand experiences — and on Kamala's remarkable public journey — to ask four questions about what it costs to carry that much, to be the first, to witness that much human need, and to choose joy anyway. Personal, political, and deeply human. Show Notes — Context for Listeners: The Havana Syndrome Hanoi incident occurred in August 2021 during VP Harris's trip to Vietnam The Afghanistan evacuation took place August 2021 following the Taliban's rapid takeover Reference: The Memo by Minda Harts (on the invisible load of being first/only) Reference: My Grandmother's Hands by Resmaa Menakem (on racialized trauma and the body) Content Note: This episode touches on political events but is not a political episode — it is a human one. Welcome back to another serving of The Straight Dope Show Crudités! In episodes 356 and 357, El Uno and TraB the Wonder dive into the optics of modern politics, comparing top-down dictatorships with organizations that actually listen to the people. They discuss Kamala Harris's qualifications and sharp debate skills, noting that she might be the most capable leader we've seen in decades. The guys also compare the current political circus to The Hunger Games, pointing out how society gets distracted by manufactured outrage while real global conflicts and domestic struggles are ignored by the algorithms. On a lighter note, the hosts share stories from their community outreach efforts with The Straight Dope Show Live, reminding everyone that giving back shouldn't just be for those who are struggling—working people deserve free shit too! Finally, the conversation shifts to entertainment as El Uno highly recommends the new Batman: Caped Crusaderseries on Prime, loving the animation, the adult themes, and Batman's surprisingly disrespectful attitude towards Alfred. They also debate the return of Wesley Snipes as Blade and Hollywood's desperate reliance on nostalgia.Download Rock Da Crowd TV on Roku, Apple, and Android devices to watch new episodes of The Straight Dope Show!00:00:00 - Top-Down Leadership vs. The People The hosts discuss the difference between blindly following leadership and a political organization that actually answers questions and engages with its base.00:02:08 - Kamala Harris: The Most Qualified? TraB praises Kamala Harris's confidence and debate skills, arguing she might be the most qualified person we've seen on a ticket in a long time.00:03:53 - Living in The Hunger Games A sharp comparison between the Hunger Games franchise and modern American politics, where the focus is on performance rather than the people.00:05:01 - Algorithm Amnesia & Global Conflicts The duo points out how the media and algorithms move on from ongoing tragedies, leaving the actual victims forgotten by the timeline.00:08:42 - The Straight Dope Show Live El Uno explains the mission behind their live community events, emphasizing that even people who pay their bills deserve to enjoy a free sandwich at the park.00:12:08 - Reviewing Batman: Caped Crusader El Uno gives high praise to the new Batman: Caped Crusader series on Prime, praising its adult themes and Batman's mean streak.00:24:03 - Batman vs. Pennyworth A hilarious breakdown of why Batman refuses to call Alfred by his first name in the new series, treating him more like an employee than a father figure.00:26:30 - The Return of Wesley Snipes as Blade The guys debate Wesley Snipes returning as Blade in Deadpool, and why Hollywood's desperation for nostalgia might be ruining new projects.
Folks, I have never seen a group of people more detached from reality than today's Democrats.I'm talking about a complete separation from observable facts. The kind of disconnect where everybody in the room is pretending the emperor is wearing Armani when the poor guy is standing there in tube socks and regret.Take Kamala Harris.Because Democrats have a problem they don't want to discuss.Because if you were transported here from ten years ago and I told you that the sitting vice president became the party's presidential nominee, you'd naturally assume she'd be the frontrunner for the next election cycle. That's how politics works.Or at least that's how it used to work. But we aren't living in the old political order anymore. We're living in Trump World.Everything changed. The rules changed. The assumptions changed. The media changed. The voters changed. And Democrats still haven't figured out they're playing a different game.So Kamala Harris sits down for an interview and gets asked about running for president.Simple question. Not quantum physics. Not the origins of the universe. Not whether pineapple belongs on pizza.A straightforward question. And what does America get?We get one of Kamala's patented verbal escape rooms.[X] SB – HarrisWant to believe in systems. Lost trust in systems.Debris at the end of this administration. Worse before better. She says people have lost trust in the system.Okay.Fair enough. Then she says at the end of this administration there will be a lot of debris.Debris?Debris from what?A government? An election?A demolition project?Did she accidentally switch over to The Weather Channel? Then she says it's irresponsible to talk about what we need to do.Wait.What?That's literally why you're there.Imagine going to a doctor."Doctor, my arm is hanging off.""It would be irresponsible for me to discuss treatment."Imagine calling a plumber."My basement is flooded.""It would be irresponsible to discuss pipes at this time."Then she says people want things to be better.Really? What an astonishing discovery.Next she'll reveal that people enjoy oxygen and generally prefer food to starvation.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
You’re listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for June 25, 2026. We open with the Supreme Court's 6-3 ruling clearing the way for the Trump administration to end Temporary Protected Status for Haitian and Syrian nationals — and we explain why this ruling is exactly right and why it took this long to get here. The T in TPS stands for temporary. It always did. The left shortened it to the acronym specifically so they wouldn't have to say the word. We connect it to Samuel Adams' warning that the tools of a tyrant pervert the plain meaning of words — and explain why a humanitarian program that has lasted 15 years and spawned a shadow immigration system was never what the law intended. In our Top 3 Things You Need to Know, the U.S. Senate passed a war powers resolution demanding the U.S. cease military engagement with Iran — then President Trump called out specific Republican senators by name at a White House lunch, and the Senate voted on the exact same resolution again, with Rand Paul and Bill Cassidy flipping their votes. Then the Supreme Court handed the Trump administration a sweep of major wins — ending asylum claims from those who haven't yet crossed the border, upholding the end of temporary protected status, striking down Hawaii's concealed carry ban as unconstitutional, and ruling in favor of Monsanto over claims that Roundup causes cancer. And a series of massive earthquakes — a 7.1 followed by a 7.5 — struck Venezuela, with President Trump immediately offering USAID and instructing all agencies to move quickly to help the country the U.S. now considers a new and great friend. We cover Rosie O'Donnell telling Jim Acosta's internet show that she doesn't think Trump's 2024 victory really happened and that she believes Kamala won — with no evidence, just the emotional need to reject a result that offended her politics. We note that Donald Trump won both the Electoral College and the popular vote, that Kamala Harris doesn't even think Kamala won, and that the left's habit of calling Republicans election deniers while doing exactly that themselves is the purest form of projection. Our American Mamas Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burleson debate whether party games kill the vibe or enhance it — and the answer, it turns out, depends entirely on timing. Throwing out Uno mid-conversation is a vibe killer. Showing up to a designated game night is a completely different experience. We also hear about a competitive grandmother who never let anyone win, a son-in-law who travels with board games, and the Parr family's ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaign that has been running for a year and a half with six-hour sessions. In our Digging Deep segment, we read the Democratic Socialists of America's actual platform — all of it, including the pictures — and what we find is nothing short of a blueprint for revolution. They explicitly call for a new democratic constitution that would replace the current government with a single legislative branch — no Senate, no executive, no judiciary — with representation limited to workers, powerful labor unions, and social movements. This is not a party that wants to amend the Constitution. This is a party that wants to abolish it. We ask why the Democratic Party is allowing a party with a completely different platform to run its candidates in Democratic primaries — and we call the DSA exactly what it is: a parasite inside the Democratic Party whose first objective is to destroy its host. We also cover Letitia James publicly expressing unhappiness with Mamdani's primary wins — and we notice that her complaint, stripped of the language, is essentially that the new wave of progressive candidates don't look like the old wave of progressive candidates. When diversity reaches positions of power that threaten your own position of power, suddenly it becomes complicated. We note — with some genuine surprise — that Mayor Mamdani has added 580 new police officers to the NYPD, triggering protests from the very Democratic Socialists of America activists who helped elect him, who are now protesting outside City Hall because they feel he has abandoned the cause of defunding the police. For our Bright Spot, Justice Samuel Alito's majority opinion in the asylum case is a masterclass in the plain meaning of words — ruling that a person who has not crossed the border has not arrived in the United States, and therefore cannot claim asylum under a law that only applies to those who have arrived in the United States. He quotes the American Heritage Dictionary. He gives everyday examples. He is doing what every judge should do — letting words mean what they say. We call this a genuine bright spot. Joy Reid says no Black person is really excited about the 4th of July because it's a symbol of slavery. We remind her that the Declaration of Independence — written during the era of slavery — declared it a self-evident truth that all men are created equal, and that statement was used to justify abolition. The United States was the first nation to ban the transatlantic slave trade, six months before Britain. That's what the Fourth of July represents. And we close with the discovery that the Lincoln Memorial has a 15,000 square foot basement — called the Lincoln Memorial Undercroft — that has existed since the building was constructed in 1922 and is now open to the public for the first time, featuring a signed copy of the Emancipation Proclamation and graffiti left on the walls by the workers who built it. Obama never thought Trump could win in 2016, perhaps because he underestimated how much the opposition loathed him. At the opening of his new presidential center on Thursday, he spoke of presidents acting with duty, honor, and kindness—even though the current occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is all about destroying things, being mean, hurting people, and starting dumb wars. Indeed, Trump's foreign policy may be more in the American tradition than Obama's. Plus, a debate over whether Kamala's response to Gaza cost her the White House along with her standing in the party. Also, some Knicks love and another installment in the perils and pitfalls of wokeness—this time with some Talarico comments from 2020.Ta-Nehisi Coates joins Tim Miller for the Juneteenth holiday weekend pod.show notes Ta-Nehisi's latest piece in Vanity Fair Tim's playlist

1. A “Power-Focused” Agenda Democratic proposals are primarily about gaining and preserving political control, not policy issues like the economy, crime, or border security. Examples include: Electoral College reform Supreme Court expansion Redistricting changes Statehood for D.C. and Puerto Rico 2. Election System Changes Key proposals discussed: Ending or reforming the Electoral College → reducing influence of smaller states. Multi-member districts → benefiting dense urban (Democratic) areas. Expanding Supreme Court (court-packing) → a way to influence rulings. 3. Judiciary and Legal System Concerns Efforts to impose ethics rules or penalties on judicial nominees are politically motivated. These could be used to pressure or intimidate judges, especially conservatives. 4. Statehood for D.C. and Puerto Rico Add additional Democratic-leaning Senate seats Shift the balance of power in Congress 5. Redistricting (Gerrymandering) Debate Historically using gerrymandering to control representation in certain states. Attempting further changes (e.g., Virginia case) to increase their advantage 6. California Political Scenario There are concerns about: A potential situation where two Republicans advance in a statewide race They are willing to intervene if the outcome is unfavorable. Sadly, it's taken some time, but voters seem to be figuring out that Trump only cares about himself, his ballroom, his blatant corruption, and his unquenchable desire for revenge. 2026, so far, has been bad for his approval ratings. And his continued weakness on the world stage, especially when it comes to Iran and China, will only drive his numbers down more. At the same time, Trump has done permanent damage to our standing among our allies. Plus, Dems need to get serious about AI as well as a stock-trading ban for public officials—including presidents—Trump has far too many unexplained medical conditions, and Tim explains his support for commuting Tina Peters' prison sentence.Bill Kristol joins Tim Miller.show notes Monday's "Morning Shots" Lauren on how the Dems should respond to an aging Trump's health issues Bill's "Bulwark on Sunday" with Rob Flaherty, Kamala's deputy campaign manager San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and our own MAGA culture expert, Will Sommer, will join the gang on stage at Bulwark Live: San Diego this Wednesday. Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Nation States with Yates An extended interview with national security expert Steve Yates, who has a new podcast "Nation States with Yates" that just debuted in the Clay and Buck podcast network this week. The discussion centers on the Trump administration’s ongoing China summit, U.S.–China diplomatic strategy, and broader geopolitical competition, with Yates emphasizing that negotiations with China involve dealing not just with a leader but with the broader Chinese Communist Party system. The conversation highlights the challenges of achieving meaningful long-term change, suggesting that while transactional wins—such as increased Chinese purchases of U.S. goods or limited cooperation on issues like Iran—are possible, deeper strategic shifts are unlikely in the near term. A key topic throughout Hour 2 is the potential for a China–Taiwan conflict, one of the most critical global security concerns. Yates argues that a full-scale Chinese invasion of Taiwan is unlikely in the near term due to military complexity and regional deterrence but acknowledges that China could pursue alternative strategies such as blockades or pressure tactics. The hosts underscore the enormous stakes involved, noting that Taiwan’s dominance in semiconductor manufacturing and microchip production makes it essential to the global economy, particularly in sectors like artificial intelligence, defense, and consumer technology. The discussion also explores global supply chains and economic security, with a focus on how long it would take the United States and its allies to achieve semiconductor independence. Yates explains that while progress is being made through international partnerships and new initiatives to secure supply chains, full independence would take years and require cooperation among advanced economies. This reinforces a central theme of the hour: economic resilience and technological competition are now central pillars of national security. Clay's Pitch to Trump Clay and Buck discuss domestic politics and future Democratic Party strategy, previewing upcoming remarks from Kamala Harris on major institutional changes. Clay suggests President Trump lowers gas prices or else could be in trouble come the midterms. Strategic in De-Coupling from China Senator Dave McCormick of Pennsylvania joins the show to provide insights into both the China trip and the U.S. political and economic landscape. McCormick emphasizes that China remains a long-term strategic competitor seeking to challenge U.S. global leadership, even as diplomatic engagement continues. He highlights key issues including trade negotiations, energy exports, rare earth dependency, and the importance of maintaining American competitiveness in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. The interview shifts into a detailed discussion of U.S. energy policy and economic growth, particularly in Pennsylvania as a critical swing state. McCormick outlines how natural gas production, energy infrastructure projects, and data center expansion are driving job creation and investment, positioning the state as a key player in the national economy. He underscores that energy independence and infrastructure development are central to economic strength, especially in the context of global instability affecting oil and gas markets. A major policy focus in this segment is McCormick’s proposed Unlock American Energy and Jobs Act, which aims to streamline federal permitting for energy projects. He argues that excessive regulation and long approval timelines—sometimes stretching for years—are blocking investment and slowing economic growth. The proposed reforms are framed as a way to accelerate infrastructure development, unlock private capital, and expand domestic energy production, aligning with broader themes of regulatory reform and economic competitiveness. Kamala's Bad Brainstorm Clay argues strongly that Kamala Harris could emerge as the Democratic nominee, sparking a debate with Buck over whether Harris or California Governor Gavin Newsom is better positioned. The discussion centers on Democratic primary dynamics, voter coalitions, and identity-based political strategy, with Clay emphasizing the importance of core voting blocs in determining primary outcomes. A centerpiece of Hour 3 is the reaction to Kamala Harris’s recent public comments outlining a range of controversial or ambitious proposals. These include expanding the Supreme Court, granting statehood to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, eliminating the Electoral College, and restructuring congressional representation through multi-member districts. The hosts frame these ideas as part of a broader institutional reform agenda, arguing that such proposals could fundamentally reshape the structure of American government. They also suggest that these positions indicate the Democratic Party has not moderated its policy direction and could pursue sweeping changes if it regains control of Congress and the White House. Megyn Kelly is joined by Tucker Carlson, host of "The Tucker Carlson Show," to discuss reporting that the U.S. and Iran may be close to a deal to end the war, backlash from neocons furious about the possibility of de-escalation, the truth about the money and political influence behind efforts to keep the Iran war going, the push from pro-war voices to try to reach Trump before a deal is reached, bipartisan efforts to censor so-called “hate speech,” corporate media and Jake Tapper backing the crackdown attempt, why obsessing over Donald Trump either from love or hate is unhealthy, why Tucker would vote for Trump again over "dumb" Kamala, absurd backlash over their recent comments about Islam, why it's important to be self-reflective about whether you've been manipulated by the establishment press and elites, and more. Then Mark Lynch, GOP U.S. senate candidate in South Carolina, joins to discuss how he plans to defeat Lindsey Graham, why he believes "traitor" Graham needs to go, the state of the race, and more.
