Pannon and David play Dread before Anime Banzai with friends. There are spooky words like "swears" and "drug mentions" so be warned. Speaking of swears, VFire and the gang are streaming today on the Cosplay Stitch and Stream! They will be playing a scary game and VFire's filter is going to be super off. Enjoy! For this single segment episode, we have a panel that was recorded at last month's Anime Banzai in Utah. Listen as Anne from Pikapi Podcast and I share what we've learned from discussing Pokémon music, followed by a few questions from the audience. Sometimes the best way to prep for a convention is to have a self-care day! Take a moment to relax and enjoy the pr-con pamper with Pannon as she relaxes with other cosplayers before Anime Banzai 2018. In the first segment (0:46-38:39), Anne from Pikapi Podcast and I discuss a variety of Pokémon music that originated in Europe. Our choices include songs from the German version of the second movie and openings of the Italian dub. The second segment (38:47-44:15) is a pair of short pieces-one where I compare the music of Octopath Traveler to Shinji Miyazaki’s work on the Pokémon Anime, and another where I announce an appearance at the upcoming Anime Banzai in Utah. May tackles her second Hoenn Contest, and earns her first victory! As great as it is to see her winning things, the story of her self-confidence is the real nail-biter here. Not to mention the forever question of "Drew: Friend or Foe?" as he shows he does have a few decent bones in his body. (Tiny ones, like the ones in your ear). Beautifly shows off skill that we kinda knew it had but still came out of nowhere, Jessie is pretty darn good at contests if she stops cheating long enough to try, and Roselia makes the best faces. It's a packed episode, so click here to listen! And I'm doing a panel at Anime Banzai? With Pokepress? Saturday, Oct. 20, at 11:00? I still can't believe it's happening, either, but Steven and I will be there, and hope you will be too! In the meantime, do you have a favorite song from the Victini movie? There were a lot to choose from! The Pokepress collaboration on movie 14 goes down soon, so let me know how you felt that movie played musically!
Join us this week for a recording of our first live show at Anime Banzai 2016. Shows discussed include Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, and Avatar the Last Airbender (shut up I count it). We even bring back the trivia contest!

Anime Scrubs is back! After a long week of fun the boys come back refreshed and raring to go. Or are they? Two weeks worth of anime and time off has made them rusty! But they make up for it with their awesome stories of Anime Banzai. But first, and more important, they delve into the biggest news! JoJo's Part 4 has been greenlit for an anime and the boys couldn't be happier. Ben even said he would catch up now (but he doesn't catch up on stuff effectively...) and Kye is torn between reading the manga first or being anime only. Also on the roster, and probably the hardest hitting this week: Noragami Aragoto! Ben ACTUALLY got caught up. Listen in for this, and many more including: Concrete Revolutio, Mobile Suits Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, One Punch Man, Comet Lucifer, Asterisk War, Haikyuu!!, Owarimonogatari, Ushio and Tora, and even more here at the Weekly Best Friend Podcast, Anime Scrubs. Make sure to check out our "Best of Summer Season Special" which hosts our best clips from this summer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGYhjsfwRm4 Check us out on Facebook and Hummingbird! For iTunes listeners: we are on Sound Cloud and you can also find us on Android devices. The song used at the end is "Samurai Champloo BattleCry PT. 2 (feat.Doep Huey)" by "Rukunetsu" You can find the full song on YouTube via this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkCVgCyY5M0 Also check out their Their Sound Cloud! https://soundcloud.com/rukunetsu

Roo and Tugs took a trip up to the local anime convention, Anime Banzai, and brought the show along for the ride.
