This week we had some technical difficulties and Som decided to make this episode last minute to replace the one we originally had planned. I, Som, personally apologize for this and will do better in the future.

She first voiced her in Kinect: Disneyland Adventures and then in the Sofia the First episode "The Enchanted Feast". She also played Janice Elden in the ABC TV show, Castle and Dr. Denise Malloy in the I Didn't Do It episode "Twin It to Win It". Additionally, she voiced Wriggley in Sofia the First and Maya in Elena of Avalor.We discuss if Marvels movie versions are better then the comic books and we wish AMV a Happy Mothers day.

Fonseca, AMV and the family are live from the Orpheum Theare in San Francisco Back to the Future: The Musical is a musical with music and lyrics by Alan Silvestriand Glen Ballard and a book by Bob Gale. It is adapted from the 1985 film Back to the Future by Robert Zemeckis and Gale. The show features original music, as well as songgs featured in the film ("The Power of Love", "Earth Angel", "Johnny B. Goode" and "Back in Time").Originally planned to première in London's West End in 2015, the year to which the film trilogy's characters traveled in Part II,[a change in directors delayed the production. The musical premiered at Manchester Opera House in February 2020, ahead of a 2021 West End transfer. It starred Olly Dobson as Marty McFly and Roger Bart as "Doc" Brown, with Hugh Coles as George McFly. The production received positive reviews in London and won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2022.The musical began performances on Broadway in June 2023 and ran until January 2025. Bart and Coles reprised their roles, and Casey Likes played Marty. A North American tour began in June 2024.

Hay quienes dicen que, de perfil, su línea no es muy armoniosa, con un morro muy largo para una trasera muy corta. Lo considero más que un inconveniente uno de sus encantos. Es un diseño italiano, de Sergio Coggiola, que se “tropezó” con algunos “problemas menores”: Tras diseñar el coche resultó que el motor V4 no cabía bajo el capó. Y Saab encargó al diseñador Gunnar A. Sjögren que solucionase estos “problemas menores”. Diseñó un capó más cóncavo con una rejilla de ventilación “postiza”. Y así fue como entro en producción. El motor V4 a 60 grados tiene más personalidad que 4 en línea o que un V4 a 90 grados, suena bien y sube rápido de vueltas. Tiene 1.699 cm3 y ofrece 65 CV para mover menos de 800 kg de peso. Se supone que este coche de tracción delantera tan ligero y tan cortito, apenas 3,8 metros de largo, debe ser una delicia en carreteras de curvas. Eso lo veremos en la prueba, pero de momento es coche distinto y original. Lástima que el Sonett III tuviese una vida muy corta pues la crisis del petróleo de 1973 hizo que sus ventas fueron escasas: Se fabricaron 8.368 unidades del Sonett III entre 1970 y el fin de su producción en 1974. Esta corta producción es el motivo de que sea un coche casi desconocido… y muy cotizado. ¡Nos vamos de pruebas! Todos los Saab son coches muy especiales… y éste si no el que más es de los que más personalidad tienen. Su puesto de conducción, a pesar del tamaño del coche, permite ir razonablemente cómodo a una persona cercana al metro noventa, como es mi caso… está pensado para suecos y norteamericanos. El motor me encanta, sube de vueltas con facilidad, tiene un sonido especial y “cunde” mucho gracias a la ligereza del coche y a la buena elección de los desarrollos de transmisión… desde luego es un coche que disfrutarás más en carreteras de curvas que en autopista… Porque en zonas viradas su reducido tamaño y peso permiten un paso por curva notable, es fiel a la dirección, acelera con solvencia y frena muy bien… en este tipo de carretera puedes llevar un ritmo muy alto, es un verdadero “mata-gigantes”. Y tiene la calidad propia de los Saab… que son coches robustos, bien hechos, con buen acabado. Esta unidad en concreto está muy bien conservada… pero… tiene un grave defecto: ¡Lo tengo que devolver! Mi conclusión es bien sencilla: ¡Me encanta este coche que hemos podido probar gracias a AMV Legend!... y más hoy, que tenemos a un invitado de verdadero lujo.

The way Mary tells the story of how the line came about is wonderfully humble, involving a planner and a rather talented chap called Peter Souter.But Mary is no one-trick pony. Her locker is full of great work.Starving a parking meter for TfL was a lesson in never giving up, even when the model maker had ruined the idea. What could have been a catastrophe turned into a seminal award-winning piece of work.Then there was seemingly endless more award winning work for The Economist, the Famous Grouse (a double, a small one, a quick one, a large one - they all went down well) plus an Anti-Smoking like never before. We discuss Mimi's research that tracked how manga and anime grew from just a Japanese export to a global phenomenon. Fascinatingly, anime spread through the promotion of fan groups of American ex-pats that would trade anime and create subtitles for the American audience. After decades of promo provided by this “fan subbing” and AMV (anime music video) conventions, the media industry caught on and now distributes anime across multiple platforms. Denzel does a deep dive into his favorite anime programs and traces how he was first introduced as a child in Florida and was later inspired to incorporate it into his music and fashion. Este tipo de coches me encanta así que decidí hacer un vídeo sobre coches playeros y, gracias a la ayuda de nuestros amigos de AMV… ¡aquí lo tenéis! Y es que la idea de tener un segundo o tercer coche para las zonas de playa o de montaña, básicamente para el verano, no es precisamente nueva. Y aunque fueron los más pudientes los que recurrieron a estos coches de ocio, nada menos que el ricachón por excelencia, Aristóteles Onassis entre ellos, luego este tipo de coches se fueron haciendo más populares y asequibles. Pero, fiel a nuestro estilo, comencemos por el principio… ¿y cuál es el principio? Pues qué es y-o qué condiciones debe cumplir un coche playero. Para calificar a un coche de “coche playero” a mí me bastan tres condiciones: Deben ser sencillos, porque deben ser coches que no requieran ni mucho mantenimiento ni mucha atención. Vamos, que no nos den trabajo… ¡que estamos de vacaciones! Deben ser divertidos por el mismo motivo: Estamos de vacaciones y queremos divertirnos y pasarlo bien. Y un coche en el que vas al aire libre siempre es más divertido. Por eso una condición de estos coches es que sean descapotables, pero mucho más que descapotables… ¡algunos no tienen ni puertas! Y deben ser práctico, lo cual parce chocar con el concepto vacaciones… pues no. Un coche en el que puedas cargas personas, complementos para ir a la playa, como sombrillas o nevera o equipo de buceo y que, si es posible, puedas luego limpiarlos, por fuera y por dentro, a golpe de manguerazo. Y sin ser TT, unas ciertas posibilidades fuera del asfalto, son bienvenidas. Aunque solo sea para poder acercarse a pie de playa. Y, ahora sí, vamos con esos 10+1 coches “playeros” por orden cronológico. 1. Fiat 600 Jolly-Ghia (1955). El coche de Onassis. 2. Trabant Tramp Cabrio (1963). Otra oportunidad. 3. Mini Moke (1964). Caído del cielo. 4. Dune Buggy VW (1966). ¡Nace un mito! 5. Citroën Mehari (1968). El 2 CV más “guapo”. 6. Renault 4 Plein Air (1968). Alegría de vivir. 7. Renault 6 Rodeo (1970). Un R6 “informal”. 8. Simca 1200 Campero (1973). El Mehari de Simca. 9. Seat Samba (1978). Fiat Scout a la española. 10. Rinspeed BamBoo (2011). Era inevitable. Willys Surrey (1968). Bonus track.

Oirás y leerás muchas listas de modelos longevos… y cuando las compares con esta pensarás: “¡Algo falla! ¡No se parecen en nada!”. Pues no. Porque en esta lista hablamos de modelos longevos no de denominaciones longevas y… ¡no es los mismo! En Garaje Hermético somos diferentes. En estas listas aparecen modelos como el Ford Mustang, el Honda Civic, el VW Golf o los Toyota Corolla y Land Cruiser. Pero entre los modelos actuales y el original, no queda nada más que el nombre. 10. Renault 4. (33 años). Un enorme éxito y un coche fabricado en nueve países y durante 33 años. Nació para competir y superar al 2 CV y lo hizo por años de vida y por número de ventas. Quizás no sea tan icónico como el 2 CV, esto lo contamos en el vídeo patrocinado por la compañía de seguros AMV que ahora nos ayuda y que se titulado “Citroën 2CV vs. Renault 4: ¿la comparativa del siglo?”. Te invito a ver ese vídeo. 9. Land Rover Defender. (37 años). La verdad es que me siento un poco culpable, pero este coche podría liderar este ranking si consideramos que no cambió mucho en la generación que apareció en 1983 y se vendió hasta 2016. Pero desde luego entre el 48 y el 85 cambió poco. 8. Jeep Wrangler. (37 años). En el mundo del TT es más fácil la longevidad, como veremos en esta lista. El Jeep Wrangler, heredero directo del genuino Jeep apareció en 1987 y si pones uno de ese año y otro fabricado en la actualidad… verás que son, esencialmente, el mismo coche. Y con el mismo encanto. 7. Mini. (41 años). Sí, el Mini sigue existiendo fabricado por BMW y mucho más grande. Pero el original que nació en 1959 se mantuvo en vida con pocos cambios, muy pocos, quizás demasiado pocos, hasta el arranque del Siglo XXI, hasta el año 2000. Es sin duda si no el coche más influyente de la historia, uno de los más influyentes y su motor transversal y aprovechamiento del espacio crearon escuela.”. 6. Citroën 2 CV. (42 años). Desde que se puso a la venta en 1948 hasta el 1990, el 2 CV tuvo una larga vida de 42 años. Pero su diseño data de finales de los 30, aunque por temas relacionados con la Guerra no se pudo fabricar hasta después… sino hubiese rebasado la cincuentena. No voy a hablar mucho de este coche porque hemos hecho videos recientes sobre su suspensión, sobre su comparación con el R4 y no tan recientes, de “Historia ficción” sobre qué hubiese pasado si los nazis hubiesen encontrado los prototipos escondidos del 2 CV. Mercedes Clase G. (46 años). Aparecido en 1978 aún se vende y aún es considerado por muchos el mejor TT de la historia… Lo cierto es que Mercedes se tomó muy en serio el diseño de este coche y contó para mí con los mejores en estas cosas del TT y la tracción total: Los austríacos de Steyr. 4. Lada Niva. (52 años). Sin duda el Lada Niva se ha renovado, pero sigue siendo el mismo que se lanzó en 1972 y se sigue vendiendo en la actualidad. Creo que es el ejemplo paradigmático de que cuando un diseño es bueno, tanto técnico como estético, es atemporal. Hoy día ves un Niva y no parece la edad que tiene… 3. VW Beetle Tipo 1. (65 años). Un coche aparecido antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y que se fabricó fuera de Europa, en México, hasta 2003… una larga vida. Incluso convivió con su sucesor, el fracasado Escarabajo o “new Beetle” de tracción delantera que apareció en 1997 y desapareció en 2020 tras 23 años de azarosa vida comercial… nada que ver. 2. Lotus Super Seven-Caterham. (67 años). Antes decía que hay modelos que mantienen el nombre y por supuesto la marca, pero son diferentes y en este caso pasa justo, al contrario, cambia de marca, pero el modelo es muy similar. Desde que nació de la mano del genial Chapman el Seven y después el Super Seven hasta hoy, que los fabrica Caterham Cars desde 1973, el concepto, la idea e incluso la fabricación ha cambiado poco. 1. Morgan Plus 4. (74 años). El primer Morgan Plus aparece en 1950 y de deja de hacer 11 años después, pero después aparece de nuevo en 1985 y se sigue fabricando hasta hoy día con no muchos cambios. Es verdad que ha llevado muchos motores de muchas marcas, pero eso desde el principio, porque Morgan no fabricaba sus propios motores.

Previously on Anime August, the heroes of GateCrashers handled the Chainsaw Devil in Chainsaw Man, learned to love in Your Name, digivolved with the Digimon, and learned to cook with Food Wars. But now, three of the heroes have finally arrived on Namak to handle one of the biggest anime of all time... Dragon Ball! Jake, Jon, and Dan fly headfirst into the series from Dragon Ball up until the end of the Frieza Saga in Dragon Ball Z. Dan watched all of it in a month which is described as an "Amanda Binge" power level. Coming from last year's Anime August, Dan has dived far too deep into the manga and anime ocean to ever return to the surface. Jon discusses how Dragon Ball was his first anime and how it will always be his favorite. Jake read the entire manga series rather than rewatching the series for the hundredth time to bring a different perspective. Jon and Dan go off on a tangent about the shows they watched growing up after bringing up Saban in relation to Dragon Ball. They also discover while discussing this that Jake didn't know what Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog was. Turns out some weird shows of the other toys youth missed an entire age group. The crew also discusses their experience with seeing anime films in theatres with other fans when they chat about Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and their screenings. Seeing films with fans is a whole other level of energy that you can't capture when watching them alone. Prepare yourself for the loudest episode of GateCrashers with special attacks, yelling, and a special guest appearance by Kyle Herbert (Narrator and Gohan in Dragon Ball Z). No, that isn't a bit...
