Bela-Bela Magistrate's Court in Limpopo has postponed a case involving two Namibian nationals allegedly involved in the Phala Phala farm burglary to Friday. 39-year-old Imanuwela David and 30-year-old Froliana Joseph allegedly stole 580,000 US dollars at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Limpopo Farm in February 2020. They are facing four charges, including conspiracy to commit housebreaking with intent to steal and theft, and money laundering. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC reporter, Koketso Motaung.

Two suspects arrested in connection with the theft at President Cyril Ramaphosa's PhalaPhala farm will appear in the Bela Bela Magistrates court today. One suspect was arrested in Rustenburg on Sunday while the second suspect was apprehended in Bela Bela yesterday. An undisclosed amount of foreign currency allegedly hidden under a couch were stolen in 2020 on Ramaphosa's Limpopo farm. Namibian nationals 39 year-old Imanuwela David and 30-year-old Froliana Joseph made their first court appearance at the Bela Bela magistrate's court on Tuesday in connection with the theft of $580,000 (about R10.6m) at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm in February 2020. The matter has been postponed to November 10 with both accused in custody.

The Limpopo Health Department says it is looking at ways of putting the Thabazimbi hospital under a state of emergency. The provision of services has been disrupted due to flooding. The department's spokesperson Thabiso Teffo says the casualty ward has been closed and patients taken to other wards, while other patients are being transferred to the Bela Bela hospital. This is the second time the hospital has been flooded. Our reporter Witness Tiva has filed this report
