September 11th was an impact event. Kennedy's assassination was an impact event. We trust the accounts of those events from people who were there, even decades later, because impact events don't fade. If Jesus rose from the dead, that was the most profound impact event in human history. And the people who wrote about it did so at personal cost while eyewitnesses to the event were still alive to verify those accounts. Not for fame, not for money, not for power. Most of them died for it. People don't typically die for something they KNOW is a lie. The Bible stands alone as the greatest work of ancient literature and as the very Words of God. Written over a span of 1,500 years, on 3 different continents with over 40 different authors. Yet, it's one cohesive story. The story of God reconciling humanity back to Himself
In this episode of our Ready Defense series, we explore the historical reliability and divine origins of the Bible, addressing common cultural objections and questions regarding its credibility. From the painstaking preservation seen in the Dead Sea Scrolls to the remarkable unity of 40 different authors writing across 1,500 years, the evidence points toward a master architect behind the text. Discover how the Word of God remains an active, living "owner's manual" for life that stands firm even as empires crumble.

A big question many of us wrestle with is whether the Bible is truly reliable, and what Jesus' view of Scripture really is.These are the questions Pastor Morgan Stephens breaks down in Week 2 of our series, The Big Questions.

Send us a textWhat THREE WORDS would you use to describe how the Church should live its life surrendered to Jesus Christ? In our sermon from 1 Timothy 5, the Apostle Paul describes how the Church should live: honoring one another, caring for one another, and living our lives in integrity as we follow Jesus Christ. This is easy to say and very hard to do. We must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit as we apply God's Word to the very practical areas of our day to day lives. Is your heart surrendering to Jesus Christ? As you respond to this message, ask God to give you the faith and grace to continually surrender so that we can be His Church who honors, cares, and lives a life of integrity for His Kingdom.Email us at cornerstoneonourwayhome@gmail.com

Let's be honest, this was not my favorite episode to record. I am in no way an expert, so leaning on Bible studies, ChatGPT, and various articles to gather information on why the Bible is reliable was not the most exciting topic to speak on. That does not change the fact that the information is accurate and trustworthy. We all have family members who do not believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and some even question whether Jesus was a real person. I can assure you that even well informed atheists acknowledge that Jesus existed. This episode was created for the person who is on the fence about their faith and for the person whose confidence in God depends on knowing they can trust the Bible. For those who do not believe, no amount of evidence can change their hearts apart from God inspiring them. But for those who are leaning into their faith and need a little extra encouragement, follow Wesley Huff. He presents these facts with clarity and precision and can elaborate on them in greater detail.
Send us a textWhat are the roles that are essential for the church of Jesus Christ to have in order to be healthy, led well, and functioning the way God intended?Pastor Joel will break down the character qualities that God requires of His called ones that lead and serve His Church. When the Church is structured the way the God intended and His servant leaders are humbling obeying all that He has commanded, the Church can be all that God intended: the pillar and buttress of truth! Send us a textDoes God have good designs for order and structure in the family and in His church and as we gather to worship together today?Yes, He does! Does our culture also have plans that misunderstand God's good structure and put forward a plan that doesn't agree with God's plan for leadership in the home and in the church?Yes it does. So what will we do? Is the Bible reliable or will we choose another source of authority for how God has designed leadership in the home and in His church?Far from being a message about women sitting down, God's challenge to men is to stand up in leading worship and prayer in your family and step into servant leadership as pastors and elders in the church.Listen in to this message as Pastor Joel carefully describes God's good plans from the Scriptures so that we can thrive in harmony and unity as His body on His mission.Email us at cornerstoneonourwayhome@gmail.com

How do you know the Bible is the Word of God? That's a question Christians should be prepared to answer, particularly since we claim to base our lives, and our eternity, on the truths contained in the words of Scripture. In this message from 2 Timothy 3:16, David Platt offers seven reasons we can be confident that the Bible is God's Word. Whether you're a Christian looking to strengthen your trust in God's Word or a non-Christian who is curious about the claims of Christianity, the spiritual stakes are too high for us to be left wondering about the Bible's authority. These words have been breathed out by God himself. Explore more content from Radical.
