Fat Apollo Is Life - Battlestar Galactica: BSG S01E11 (Colonial Day). Let's frak!
After weeks of running for their lives, the fleet takes time out for the truly important stuff - politics! I mean, come on! It's Colonial Day! We can't not celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the signing of the Articles of Colonization, even if the Cylons have nearly wiped out the species. Even our good buddy Gaius gets into the spirit of the day - and maybe gets a little more responsibility than he bargained for. Also, Andrea swears that Kobol spelled backward is Earth, and that's the key to the whole mystery.
Anne-Marie and Peter finish off S1 of BSG by covering Colonial Day and Kobol's Last Gleaming parts 1 & 2, along the way developing a literally crappy playlist. Next time, recording Thursday 28th November, they begin S2 by reviewing Scattered and Valley Of Darkness. Feedback (5 minutes or under, and spoiler free for future episodes please) to borgcast@gmail.com.
Anne-Marie and Peter look at Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down and The Hand Of God, with Peter channeling Saul Tigh in an effort to kill a cold with whisky. Next time, recording 15th November, they give their thoughts on Colonial Day and Kobol's Last Gleaming pts 1 & 2. Feedback (5 minutes or under, and spoiler free for future episodes please) to borgcast@gmail.com.

Something important actually happened on Cylon-Occupied Caprica! Oh, and I guess some political stuff with Roslin, Zarek, and Baltar.
As we watch this episode we compare it to the hypothetical inspiration, the West Wing, we dig on Starbucks utter bad-assery, and we are grateful for Baltar's expanding motive, if not for his expanding sex life. Also, Helo has the worst day and we feel for him. Watch Battlestar Galactica with us - available on Hulu and Amazon Prime. So, if you forget you're supposed to donate to charity, are you still a good person? If you want a butt lift but your husband says you don't need it, do you go for it anyway? These questions and so many more answered on today's show!
Being pursued by killer robots? Don't worry about it. There's always time to take a break and play politics. Mike votes for Vice President Baltar. Pat sees post-Caprican society for the sham it is. Matt believes that Zarek's telling the truth.
BSG 1x11 "Colonial Day" & Buffy 6x3 "After Life"
Comes earlier every year, doesn't it? Find out what we thought of the penultimate episode before the season-one two-part finale!
Ron Moore and his wacky gang decide to test the limits of what Battlestar Galactica could be in three very, very different episodes. We discuss "Tigh Me Up, Tigh Me Down," "The Hand of God," and "Colonial Day," and try to figure out just what the hell the writers were thinking. In a similar vein, and everyone puts on a show in Mad Men's "My Old Kentucky Home." You think these people can't get any worse, and then Roger Sterling puts on blackface.
In this new show, the cast talk about how Tom Zarek seeks to become Vice President, but President Laura Roslin thwarts him by nominating the popular scientist Gaius Baltar, who ultimately wins.
