After a hiatus of approximately eleventy billion years, your trusty co-hosts are finally back on the mic and ready to recap the rest of season 3 of Motherland Fort Salem. In this episode, the gang splits up to do a variety of side quests. Tally goes home to find her mother a little less peace-loving-hippie and a lot more let's-burn-this-mf'er-down. Abigail escorts Alder back to Fort Salem, where some people (Petra) are happy to see Abigail her but other people (Feral Penelope) are a lot less pleased. Finally, Scylla and Edwin go on an epic road trip together, featuring lots of terrible dad jokes and some teary reunions with dead terrorist mushroom spouses.Luckily everyone gets their errands done just in the nick of time, because an invasion force is headed right for the Cession. Ruh roh. As always, we appreciate you leaving ratings or reviews on iTunes, Spotify and other platforms. Hit us up on Twitter (or Instagram and Tumblr) and talk with us about the show! Over the last several years, Kai Bradbury has made a name for himself playing characters who dabble in deception. On Motherland: Fort Salem, he played the bird-wielding male witch Gerit who shows up in Fort Salem to participate in Beltane and lies to Tally about his relationship status. As rogue scientist Nate on The Imperfects, he lured monsters Abbi, Tilda, and Juan into a potentially devastating trap. He can currently be seen on Virgin River as Denny, Doc's long-lost grandson who comes to town with a number of secrets and possible nefarious motives. Kai's other credits include The Terror, Warigami, Altered Carbon, The Man in the High Castle, and the music video for Amanda Sum's Undecided Minds. In this compelling and entertaining episode, Kai talks the art of deception, the art of make believe, Hot Pockets, his mixed heritage, working with Sarah Dugdale, and much more. For the third summer in a row, Carrie talks almost nonsensically about her love for the Freeform fantasy show Motherland: Fort Salem. K.W. tells us why she's enjoying rewatching the classic dramedy Gilmore Girls. And they both loved the new season of Hulu's Only Murders in the Building. Plus, listen to them struggling to pronounce Cara Delevigne's last name.
THE SERIES FINALE (ahhhhh)! The Core 4 (and Adil) embark on their last mission. Anacostia makes the ultimate sacrifice and earns her taps eulogy like no other. Penelope gets sweet sweet revenge. THE FIRST SONG FINALLY HAPPENS! Oh, and it turns out the Mother gave us language but doesn't know what the word consent means. Producer), Allan Heinberg (Exec. Producer, Showrunner) and Vivenne Archeampong (Lucienne) about bringing this magical world to life on screen and giving us a deep dive into all of their characters. WATCH THE SANDMAN, NOW STREAMING ON NETFLIX! Since it's the final season of Motherland: Fort Salem, we're once again talking to a member of the cast, and this time it's Tony Giroux. He plays Adil on the show, so we definitely asked him about the relationship with Abigail, the bond with his sister and going against his moral code at time. Tony will also give us a couple of teases for the rest of the season, and even tell us what he'll miss the most about the show when it's all over. WATCH MOTHERLAND: FORT SALEM EVERY TUESDAY ON FREEFORM AND NEXT DAY ON HULU! There's also been A LOT of news surrounding Warner Bros. Discovery this week, and we don't hold back. We're back with a recap of Motherland: Fort Salem season 3, episode 5. There are big changes happening at Fort Salem, the Bellweather unit faces judgment by the council, Anacostia uses some nifty new skills to her advantage, and Alder surprises everyone. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/itsrecapmadness/support
In this episode, we get a variety of interesting pairings: some spicy (Nicte/Scylla), some sweet (Adil sexy dancing for Abigail), some sexy (Wade/Marshall), and some just packed with raw, unclassifiable chemistry (Tally and all her scene partners). Tally and M have a particularly nice moment where M discusses the difficulty navigating a witch world divided along gender lines as a non-binary person. Meanwhile, the pairing of Anacostia and Sterling attend a very un-fun party, where they're made to fight to the death against other witches. Things get very stabby. The Camarilla make their next move, as newly sworn in President Silver appoints a civilian oversight committee to make the witches' lives that much more miserable. I can't wait for Wade to come back and crush this bug, y'all. Finally, Tally has visions of the future, and things like a little too explode-y for Raelle for my taste.Support the show
Happy Yule! We're back with a recap of Motherland: Fort Salem season 3, episode 4. It's Yule time for the witches but no one is really in the mood to celebrate. The Bellweather unit is still trapped by the marshall...but Yule brings some unexpected visitors and a sign from the other side from Raelle. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/itsrecapmadness/support
We're continuing our recap of Motherland: Fort Salem Season 3 with episode 3...Oh Elayne. The Bellweather unit is in trouble as always, but they get a very unexpected surprise. Also, the Bellweather unit aren't the only ones facing some major trouble. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/itsrecapmadness/support
In this episode, the Bellweather Unit gets even more fractured. Adil, Abigail and Tally seek out Khalida, but end up picking up Sarah Alder in the process. Talder fans had a good number of moments between Tally and Alder. Alder is definitely changed - no longer is she the stern general with the perfect hairdo. This Alder wants to nothing more than to drink tequila, eat nachos, and watch Tally Craven dance sexy for her. We here at the podcast approve of this new version. Alas, the fun can't go on forever, because Alder is on a quest to collect all the seeds of the First Song.Meanwhile, Nicte and Scylla spend some quality time together working on their hand-to-hand combat techniques. It doesn't matter, because the Marshalls easily capture them, along with the rest of the unit. Cession jail looks nicer than real world jail, as the gang is imprisoned in a fancy old manor, where I'm sure tensions will stay low and no sexy times will be had.Alban Hearst meets up with Kara Brandt and has a very confusingly sexually charged conversation with her. This inspires him to cut his vocal chords out, in favor of an upgrade. Finally, President Wade tries to move against VP Silver, but the Camarilla beat her to the punch and blow up the White House before she can make a public address condemning the VP. Oh no!Support the show

In this episode of 92NY Talks, join the cast and creator of Freeform's hit supernatural thriller Motherland: Fort Salem — Eliot Laurence, Taylor Hickson, Jessica Sutton, Ashley Nicole Williams, Amalia Holm, Demetria McKinney, and Lyne Renée — as they talk to The Advocate's Tracy Gilchrist about the third and final season of their hit series. Launching from an alternate American history — in which the witches of Salem ended their persecution by agreeing to fight for the US government — Motherland: Fort Salem is more than a fantasy show. It's a bold, speculative reimagining of American power, a queer love story, and an epic action series. The conversation was streamed live as part of the The 92nd Street Y, New York online talks series on June 19, 2022.
In this episode, the Bellweather Unit sneaks into the Cession. Abigail is worried Scylla is going to steal Raelle away from them, but the Mycellium steals her away first, as she's sucked into the ground and put in a shiny prison somewhere in the earth. Nicte shows off her hamburger Phantom face to Tally, before unleashing some fun new acid and bat-related abilities on some unsuspecting Camarilla agents at a chemical factory. The unit manages to luck into capturing Alban Hearst, only to immediately allow him to escape once the dreaded Cession Marshalls show up on the scene. Khalida acts super suspicious before disappearing (or maybe being kidnapped, I don't know)Meanwhile, in a much better subplot, Petra hosts a dinner party, M dazzles us with their snappy suit, and we are blessed with the return of two queens in the form of President Wade and Minerva Bellweather. VP Silver is set back in his plan for total domination for the moment, as Wade flexes her presidential power all over him with a rousing speech in support of equal rights for witches. Also, Penelope Silver is back and 100% more insane than when we last saw her. She tries to choke out our beloved Izadora and is apparently able to transfer into a gaseous form at will. Also possibly insane? After a short hiatus, we are back recapping all the action on season 3 of Motherland Fort Salem! We enjoy a riveting hour of the girls moving boxes around a warehouse and living that not-so-glamourous dodger lifestyle. Raylla are hot and heavy, just how we like them. Adil has a case of the baby-crazies and Abigail isn't totally shooting that idea down. Tally and Nicte spend quality time on the roof together being sexy and talking about the future (literally).Abigail and Tally team up to ruin it for everyone with their selfish and reckless behavior, as they manage to blow the cover of dozens of dodgers by being super suspicious and leading the authorities right to the secret warehouse. Daddy Dodger is not amused and neither is Scylla.Meanwhile, VP Silver is up to his old tricks alongside Albin Hearst and a new evil blonde lady. What evil plots do they have in store for our witches and the mycellium network, hmmm? Thankfully we have a clue, thanks to super spy M on the case. Also, Penelope might be back, but in the form of a vengeful rain cloud. Definitely back? Sarah Alder (yeeeeeeeaaaah), freshly sprung from the earth somewhere in Spain and looking better than ever. Buckle up as we navigate the wild ride that season 3 is sure to hold for us.
