Send Me A Message! This week we're diving into the honesty box trend that's popping up on driveways across the UK. Cake stands, plants, homemade bits - no seller in sight, just a box and a bit of trust. But here's the real question… could resellers do something similar? Would it actually work, or would everything disappear before lunchtime? We also break down the big news of eBay buying Depop - what's the play here? Is it strategic genius, damage control, or just consolidation in the reselling space? What does it mean for UK sellers, crosslisting, and the future of secondhand platforms?Plus the usual honest interactive reseller chat you've become accustomed to!My YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/@CarBoot_Chris?sub_confirmation=1My Website - http://www.carbootchris.comSupport the show

Welcome back to another episode of Upside at the EUVC Podcast, where Dan Bowyer, Mads Jensen of SuperSeed, Lomax Ward of Outsized Ventures dissect the stories reshaping European venture, from Helsinki's Slush takeover to China's rising leverage, TPU vs GPU battles, the UK's AI money wave, and why immigrants found half the unicorns in the Western world. This week's episode ranges from Germany's €35B space ambitions to Meta's TPU dealmaking, from cookie law rollbacks to Lithuania's secondhand unicorn, all culminating in one conclusion: Europe's window for action is open, but narrowing.
On the Glossy Podcast, senior fashion reporter Danny Parisi and international reporter Zofia Zwieglinska break down some of the biggest fashion news of the week. This week, we're talking about a French investigation into the European resale company Vinted, which regulators said hasn't done enough to prevent minors using its platform from accessing sexual content. We also discuss the U.K. footwear brand Clark's entering a number of lower-priced marketplaces, including Shein and TikTok Shop. And we talk about some of the interesting sales data from the pre-Black Friday shopping window. Later in the episode, Zofia and our editor-in-chief, Jill Manoff, are joined by Preston Konrad, founder of the home and fragrance brand Preston Lane, to talk about the biggest holiday trend of the season: Ralph Lauren Christmas. For months, social media has been awash in what people are calling Ralph Lauren Christmas, an aesthetic that takes 20th-century, New England-flavored inspiration from the design principles of Ralph Lauren for cozy holiday outfits and home decor. The aesthetic isn't limited to Ralph Lauren — a number of home and fashion brands have showcased the look in their marketing as they try to capitalize on the trend. Konrad is a former styling director for Ralph Lauren who worked for the brand for over five years. He shared with Jill and Zofia where the trend came from, what's appealing about it and how other brands can get in on the hype.

The huns are vaguely poorly but there's some immaculate chaos going on in the studio. A spa is on the cards and we discuss PET NAMES. Will we ever find out? We've got some Vinted horror stories and Hannah picks a reverse bashy tarot. Story 1 Hannah has a tale from Portland about a characterful haunted house. What's in the TV reflection? Is it Peter Crouch? Story 2 Big S is taking us to Leeds - don't look too closely at the shadows underneath your door... Story 3 Hannah tells us a story about driving late at night... is that the dinging of the seat belt sensor? Have you huns ever been followed in your car? SEND YOURS IN - we'll do a car spesh. Story 4 Suzie reads a proper creepy one called 'My Neighbours Front Door', by the wonderful u/11velociraptors (see link below for more!) Creep of the Week this week is from Ruth! Ty hun. Think woman on the street and a haunted house in Dublin.... narrated by Hannah. Lastly we REMOVE the French Hex. You're welky France. xoxo ENJOY HUNS JOIN OUR PATREON!
