Having It ALL: Conversations about living an Abundant Loving Life
Do you enjoy pain? Most people don't, and it makes sense. Pain hurts. Pain is uncomfortable. Pain isn't something that a sane person wants to run towards. Yet, what if I told you that pain was inevitable....that whether you chose to step up, stay put or step back, pain would be present. Would that change the choices you made? In today's episode I share with you the illusion of pain, and how we trap ourselves believing that we are avoiding pain. A quote from the psychiatrist R.D. Laing sums it up nicely: “Pain in this life is not avoidable, but the pain we create avoiding pain is avoidable.” If you want to reach out to me with episode topic suggestions, feedback about the podcast in general, or just to say hi, you can do so in two ways: Email me at matthew@matthewbivens.com DM me on Instagram @matthew_bivens
As we reach the end of Andrew's time as DM, we find that Mack has been revealed as some sort of Eldritch Horror, and Garry is paying a steep price. Now it's up to the survivors - including Conri, Quincy, Virgil, Gray, Zhula and Rule - to figure out who among them could also be a danger to the group, and how to stop them if they are. Welcome to the I'm So Tired podcast with Hugo and Islam, where we are so incredibly tired and we try to fight our depression by talking about random pop culture BS for your (and our own) entertainment! This week our main topic of the show is our final review for the whole series of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We talk about the final episode and the show as a whole. Did it satisfy us? How does it fit in the MCU? And why are Fanboys the absolute worst? Listen to find out! (Spoilers: Black Captain America is the shit!) Before that, Islam gives his review of Disco Elysium, which he beat earlier this week and Hugo has finally stopped being a fake gamer and actually started playing Cyberpunk 2077 for real, so we also talked about the “first act” of that game. If you want to watch us record live you can find us at: https://www.twitch.tv/idibaje If you want to watch a video version of the episode, just search iDibaje on youtube and find us there!

On our second episode we briefly give our thoughts on the new trailer for James Gunn's The Suicide Squad and review episode 2 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Then, as our main topic, Islam will go into professor mode and teach Hugo, who has never played it before, all about D&D. We get real nerdy and it's a whole lot of fun! Yes, you are being judged by others...just as you are judging others, but is that a bad thing? Whether it's generationally, geographically, culturally, stylistically, or socially - the list and combinations of reasons people judge each other is lengthy. But we can leverage this in the hopes of learning more about each other - leaning into the potential of ascending together towards meaningful relationships and solutions.

You can't support or love others until you take care of yourself. Sometimes the most effective path to selflessness begins with a moment of selfishness. In this moment, Dave shares his thoughts on why it's ok to step back from the world around you to figure out what's missing in your own life, before supporting others - or to simply find happiness.

We should all aspire to be judged by the “content of our character”. It's a concept that should challenge us to be the best that we can be - and not just when others are watching us. In this moment, Dave shares his insight of checking himself in the mirror each day to see if he's still a “good guy”.
Charles Dickens once said “The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose”. In this moment Dave walks through the importance of assigning purpose to all tasks, activities and endeavors - not simply checking a box.
