Santa Rosa Pizzeria menu. The co-owners of Santa Rosa Pizzeria, Peter Lopez and Ignacio Ruiz, join Steve Jaxon and Herlinda Heras on Brew Ha Ha today. Peter is a frequent guest and occasional co-host on Brew Ha Ha, here is Peter's most recent BHH episode, from March of this year. Peter Lopez is back with Ignacio Ruiz, aka Nacho, as co-owners of the new Santa Rosa Pizzeria. They have been open for about a month. They are active on Facebook, at this link. Nacho tells the story of how he and Peter worked together in another restaurant, then they reconnected. Peter found a location that used to be under another name. Also, Barolo's Pizza was there for about 15 years. So the place has a pizza pedigree. In less than a month they started! The Art of Pizza Peter also runs Juncture Taproom and Ignacio is also the controlling partner of Art's Place, so he is also an ideal partner for Peter. Ignacio learned pizza while working in an Italian restaurant, and he also makes pizza at Art's Place. Art was a master and taught the art to Ignacio. Art Ibleto's kids still control the Pasta King name, so he steers clear of things like their famous ravioli. They do have an extensive wine and beer menu. They named all the pizzas after Santa Rosa icons, including Jerry Robinson, former Raider and All-American UCLA Bruin linebacker of yesteryear. Jerry Robinson (84) UCLA, 1978 Peter considers his place to be a family friendly taproom, with something for everyone of all ages. He wants people to feel comfortable and safe. They even have their own Charlie Brown statue. He originally named Juncture Taproom “Confluence.” Juncture is at the corner of Mission and Montgomery, close to Howard Park and Spring Lake, where Rincon Valley and Bennett Valley come together. There is a band called Igor and the Red Elvises that plays there. They are a great band, a lot of fun. They won Star Search with Ed McMahon on TV long before American Idol and The Voice. They took the money, bought a van an went on tour. They have a cult following. Santa Rosa Pizzeria is open noon to 8 pm, and they do deliveries from 11:30 to 8:30. Russian River Brewing Co. is open in Santa Rosa on 4th St. and at their big Windsor location. Visit their website for up-to-date hours, menus, beers and more. Herlinda brought a guitar pick from the Beatles museum in Liverpool and she has lots more stories from Liverpool in the later part of the show. Western Australia's Howard Park Wines featured on this podcast very early on when I interviewed then chef winemaker Janice McDonald, in October 2018.Janice has since moved on to focus on the Margaret River wine company she founded with partner Stuart Pym, Flowstone Wines, which we explored on Drinks Adventures in early 2023.In this episode we welcome Howard Park's current chief winemaker Nic Bowen to the show, together with Natalie Burch, general manager and marketing director.Nic joined Howard Park in 2021 with strong pedigree as a sparkling winemaker, having worked alongside the legendary Ed Carr at House of Arras.Howard Park had won a major trophy for its Jete Brut NV even prior to Nic's arrival, and in this episode he'll share what the company is currently doing in the vineyard and winery to build on this early success. We also touch on some of the many other projects currently underway at Howard Park and sibling brands, like the recent embrace of grenache, and the low intervention wines released under the Mon Tout label. But first up, we go back to the beginning with Natalie Burch, who details how her family became involved with Howard Park 30 years ago, and the exciting evolution of its wine styles over that time.

Welcome back to the Drinks Adventures podcast for 2023.If you've been with me on the show since the beginning you'll recall a brilliant chat back in Season One with winemaker and brewer, Janice McDonald, who at that time was chief winemaker at Howard Park in Margaret River.Janice recently joined her partner Stuart Pym at his boutique winery Flowstone, and they're with us this episode as we hear all about the rekindling of their exciting winemaking partnership.Janice and Stuart previously worked together in establishing the quirky Suckfizzle brand and Stella Bella Wines in 1999.They were both key players in the establishment of Matilda Bay Brewing Co in the late 1980s before taking up winemaking roles at Voyager Estate and Devil's Lair, respectively. At Flowstone, their proven partnership will continue to focus on small parcels from vineyards they manage and own.The lead varieties are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented by unexpected and experimental wines including Gewürtztraminer, Touriga and a Shiraz Grenache blend.Click here to open this episode in your preferred podcast player.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:7-9) 245 And remember, sitting right back where Sister Wright is at, one night, that a woman was going to throw me out the door for doing something like that. Yes, sir. I said, “You're not coming in my church with your old…” When they used to wear, or cut their dresses way down like this, and that funny-looking stuff, and about half of their body exposed. I said, “They ever come in my church, I'll sure put them out.” And some little old snickle-fritz down here, she died not long after that; and then she called on me, dying. She was a Catholic girl, walked up there and set down with that like that. I looked back and I spied her, sitting up here, and they was singing. Took off my coat, walked back there, put it up around her shoulders. I said, “Madam, if you're going to listen to me preach, would you please wear this coat while you're in the church of God.” See? Sure. 246 She stomped out of there, and spread them little lips up. She went out the building. She said, “If he has got religion, I wouldn't let my cow have that kind of religion.” I said, “Don't worry, she won't have it.” 247 Then we had the tent, they called for me when she was dying. She had a heart attack, and she was dying. Her husband come. He, “Can, come quickly!” And I was right in the meeting. Big, tall boy, standing at the door, waiting for me. And I run as… 248 I got in my car and run out there. As I went up, I met that old nurse out there, that lives down in Howard Park, yet. She said, “Reverend, there is no need of coming.” That's been about twenty years ago, maybe a little better. Said, “She is dead.” Said, “She's been dead about three minutes.” Said, “She screamed as hard as she could, for you.” Said, “I got a message for you.” Said, “What?” 249 Said, “Tell that preacher, that I said that about, ‘Please forgive me.'” 250 I went down there to look at her. Beautiful woman; and she had suffered so hard. She had little freckles across her nose; a pretty woman. And the freckles, looked like, stood out. And her eyes had pushed completely out of the sockets, and was halfway turned back. Course, her bowels and kidneys had moved, and the steam coming up all over the bed, like that. 251 And her husband looked at me, said, “Brother Branham, say a prayer, 'cause she wanted to see you.” I said, “A prayer for her now would do no good.” 252 “The way the tree leans, that's the way it falls.” See? “Be not deceived; God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap.” 58-0928e - "The Serpent's Seed" Rev. And she still brews today - if you've ever visited the Settlers Tavern in Margaret River Town and had one of the beers under the Margaret River Ale Company label, that's Janice's handiwork too.All other Drinks Adventures episodes, show notes, transcripts and many helpful links are available on the podcast website, DrinksAdventures.com.au, and you can email me at hello@drinksadventures.com.au.Follow James Atkinson on Facebook here, Instagram here and Twitter here.Theme music ‘Sandbox’ by Cameo Culture.
