The Gee and Tee tandem are back! In the first podcast of 2022, Gee and Tee go through the NRL off-season from the sad, good, funny and bad they discuss the topics of the NRL 2022 Off-Season. They start off with some of the sad and bad off-field and off-season stories and discuss Blake Ferguson, Brett Finch, Manu Vatuvei and others, and when will the NRL really address some of these issues. They move on to some of the sad and cover the deaths of Norm Provan, Olsen Filipaina and Johnny Raper. They then move onto some of the funny stories with Joey Leilua realising he signed with a 2nd division team by accident, the NRL second team in Brisbane actually being in Redcliffe, the NRL rule changes and judiciary as well as Tee questioning the elasticity of the Bulldogs Salary Cap as well as the negotiating tactics of the Parramatta Eels.
Jelisa discusses the issue as part of the 7.30 sports update
Jay Jay Roca and Mark Kittens Warren are talking the hurt game although still going random as they do!) As we drop Ferocious George Kambosos Junior is in the deep end,in fact he's swimming with a killer shark on foreign soil when he dances under the bright lights against pound for pound megastar Teofimo Lopez at Maddison Square Garden New York City. We go micro on Ferocious George Kambosos Junior and just where his mindset rests, we're quietly confident he's in peak shape and he'll absolutely have to be, in with an absolute killer. A win by Kambosos he'll need a bigger room to display the WBA, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine Lightweight titles and very respectfully perhaps the biggest upset in Australian sport perhaps the greatest achievement In Australian Boxing History!Warren and Roca review a fight for the ages as Terrence Bud Crawford puts any questions on his CV to rest with a 10th round knockout win over the former 2-time world champion whose never been stopped and just chases the big fights Shawn Showtime Porter. A fight where many had Porter shading Crawford into the 10th round and Crawford's corner told the superstar just that at the end of the 9th and then we saw Bud do what Bud does. Superstar performance. Is Crawford pound for pound No 1!?Your call guys.We look back at Brock Jarvis US debut for Eddie Hearns Matchroom Boxing after his knockout win over the tough Mexican Alejandro René Frías Rodríguez nicknamed The Frog! Jarvis had to find Jeff Fenech courage to survive Round 2 and he did just that for a Round 5 TKO.CONGRATULATIONS TEAM FENECH!We talk Tim Tszyu after his demolition of the Takeshi Inoue. How Inoue survived the final bell just ridiculous ,body shots that would stop a bull, uppercuts that should have had the Japanese fighter orbiting Earth some kind of TOUGH! And we stay with the Tszyu family and the next Tszyu, namely Nikita Tszyu and his much anticipated professional debut. The same weight division as Tim at Super Welter Nikita a southpaw with absolute one punch knockout power out of the powerhouse of Australian Boxing at No Limit. So what's in a name? We had Kostya Tszyu The Baby Faced Assassin as named by our man Kittens Warren Kostya then KT became The Thunder From Down Under. Tim is The Soul Taker and so we pose the question what about Nikita? We have few suggestions!)Speaking of No Limit the boys have a much anticipated two night boxing extravaganza and there's an undercard fight feauturing Joey Leilua and Chris Heighington and well Marks got a story!) We're sure you'll be both amused and entertained! This Is RocKD!
After a short off-season break, the Wests Tigers Podcast is back with plenty to discuss. Eddie Otto, Garry Watson, and Declan McCutcheon talk Luciano Leilua and what his future is with the club after he reportedly signed a big-money deal with the Cowboys. Should we let him go? Do we get a player in return? And what does his departure mean for the Wests Tigers roster? Luciano's brother, Joey Leilua, has also fired another shot at the club and coach Michael Maguire, should we take any note of what he has said? There's also a discussion around the somewhat on-again/off-again talks with Canberra over Josh Hodgson. And on a much more positive note, the boys discuss the 2023 acquisition of damaging Parramatta forward, Isaiah Papali'i. In part two there's some Wests Tigers nostalgia with a discussion around who have been the three most underrated players in the club's history. Who have been the three worst ever signings made by Wests Tigers? And Eddie, Garry and Declan nominate the three other NRL clubs that they especially love to see the Tigers beat. It's another big off-season edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we hope you enjoy it!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

With how crazy the world is right now, we sometimes forget to look after ourselves. Check out the 7 day Well-being program provided by the NRL, it may be just what you need. https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/07/06/star-players-race-up-in-support-for-7-day-wellbeing-challenge/ Whoa... Round 8 settle down..... Potty Mouths, Bunker Blues, Cheap Shots and a Coach's Kiss. To say there was a lot going on is an understatement. On this program we discuss the ramifications of and events that led up to both Addin Fonua-Blake's and Joey Leilua's actions that have earned them both spells on the sideline. How good was Ivan Cleary's return to Campbell town? So good he sealed it with a kiss. Speaking of kisses perhaps each of the Broncos will need one after hugging it out with the Warriors after an emotionally draining encounter. Manly drop another 2 points and with that drop out of the top 8, although it again was not all their own doing. A truck load of injuries again unfortunately hitting a number of clubs, the NRL releases the draw for the next 4 weeks and the Immortal Morris twins drop a hint about their 2021 options. Adam's Craft Beer of the Week: Brewery and Beer: YourMates Brewing. Larry. ABV: 4.8% Style: Pale Ale Country/Location: Warana, Sunshine Coast, QLD. For a short period of time I had the pleasure of working for and with the YourMates founders Matt Hepburn and Christian McGarry. They are top blokes who make top beer! Larry is their pale ale that sits very much in the easy-drinking category. It's golden in colour and serves up a little bit of lemony citrus, a little bit of tropical fruit, something herbal, something sweet and a tickle of bitterness – but not too much of any of them. There's enough there for crafties to roll around their palates but not enough to distract you if all you're after is sinking a few by the coast at the end of another warm day. https://yourmatesbrewing.com/ --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/6again-ahoy-jmewton/message
It's the final countdown! The 2020 NRL season is less than a week away and the Wests Tigers are ready to do battle with the Dragons next weekend. This week on the Wests Tigers Podcast we look back at the Tigers victory over the Warriors in the last trial of the pre-season. Joel and Eddie also discuss the lingering trade deal between the Wests Tigers and Melbourne involving Paul Momirovski and Harry Grant and look at whether Joey Leilua was justified in describing himself as the best centre in the game. The majority of Wests Tigers Podcast Facebook followers who recently voted in a poll we're running aren't Wests Tigers 2020 members, we look at why aren't more supporters signing up. We also look at the overwhelming support shown by our followers for the re-signing of Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire. And we look back at our 2019 predictions and cast an eye to the future naming our predicted NRL top eight, grand finalists and wooden spooners. The 2020 NRL season is just around the corner and things are looking up at the Wests Tigers. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast we discuss the proposed move that will see the Wests Tigers loan centre/winger Paul Momirovski to the Melbourne Storm, in return the Tigers would get the services of young Storm hooker Harry Grant for the coming season. We also look at the recent signing of Joey Leilua and look at whether it wasn't such a bad thing that we didn't get Latrell Mitchell. We also talk Adam Doueihi and whether he's a chance of coming to the club. And we name our potential round one NRL Wests Tigers team too. Matty, Finchy and Kenty have a lot on their plate, after 'Pokies Gate' and the Broncos seemingly self-combusting.There's nothing the Raiders could've done to prevent Joey Leilua's fireworks mishap, but as you'll find out, coaches like Wayne Bennett and Des Hasler know exactly how to get the best out of their individuals.And... the Roosters had a sleepover at the SCG?!
