The Wests Tigers Podcast returns with Episode 473 as Nick is joined by Josh and Aaron for a big discussion covering State of Origin II, the latest Tigers news, and this weekend's clash against the Dolphins.Aaron was at the MCG for Origin II and gives us his firsthand account of the atmosphere and experience as QLD squared the series. We also discuss Laurie Daley's controversial decision to leave Api Koroisau on the bench for the entire 80 minutes, whether that could happen again in Game III, and what selection changes NSW might make for the decider. The boys also dive into the Israel Folau story after claims emerged that Benji Marshall was interested in bringing the former dual international to the club before the NRL stepped in.Plus, with rumours circulating Luciano Leilua and Shawn Blore's futures at their current clubs, we ask whether either player could help solve the Tigers' back-row depth issues. Can Jarome Luai back up his brilliant performance against the Titans? We look at the latest injury news, including Adam Doueihi's race against time to prove his fitness. Finally, we preview the Dolphins clash. The Redcliffe-based club arrives on a six-game winning streak, but they'll be without several key players, including Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Selwyn Cobbo and Thomas Flegler. Can the Tigers take advantage and make it back-to-back wins? All that and plenty more on Episode 473 of the Wests Tigers Podcast. Dor & Cord break down the Round 10 team lists, and it's shaping up to be a blockbuster week. Big-name returns headline the action, with Jeremy Marshall-King and Kodi Nikorima back on the bench for the Dolphins, Clint Gutherson and Dylan Egan returning from injury, and Jahrome Hughes slotting back in for the Storm. The Titans hand a debut to Zane Harrison at halfback, while Souths welcome back Jye Gray and Ashton Ward, with Edward Kosi added to the wing. There's plenty of movement elsewhere too—Fogarty returns for Manly, Duffy reclaims the No.7 jersey for the Broncos alongside young gun Antonio Verhoeven on the wing, while the Tigers bring Heath Mason and Jock Madden into the starting side. The Raiders also get a boost with Ethan Strange and Hudson Young back in action. But it's not all good news—Round 10 is hit hard by key outs, with Adam Doueihi, Samuela Fainu, Mark Nawaqanitawase, Lindsay Collins, Jeremiah Nanai, Jack Wighton, Adam Reynolds, Kotoni Staggs, and more sidelined through injury or suspension.Support us + receive extra content: https://www.patreon.com/cw/ALLOUTNRL/postsFollow along on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/allout.nrlfantasy/Follow along on TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@UCq7MIfVu51mcDlHnRpcSw2A All Out Club Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/allout.club/All Out Club TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@alloutclub

We can't say we didn't have our chances! The Wests Tigers fell to South Sydney on Saturday night by 20 points to 16. Frustratingly, we think just about everyone agrees that for most of the match, the Wests Tigers were the better team, but it ended up being an inability to ice moments in our red zone that cost us a valuable win.On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Nick, and Josh take a deep dive into the performance that left many Wests Tigers fans confused. But before talking specifically about the Gosford game, there's some breaking news that former Knights coach, and current Bulldogs assistant, Adam O'Brien might be coming in to help us with our attack. We take a look at how that could play out for our club. There's also some player movement talk with more Wests Tigers players possibly getting off the bus. Back to the game against the Bunnies, we take a look at some of the individual performances, including giving big wraps to the born-again Alex Twal!Naturally, there's discussion about the injuries to Adam Doueihi and Jarome Luai, and, just as importantly, how we might replace them over the coming weeks. There are also a lot of opinions and thoughts from other Wests Tigers fans, including two well-thought-out posts found on different Wests Tigers Facebook groups, and a stack of 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. The Richo-Meter also features. It's a post-loss edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, but it isn't all doom and gloom. We hope you enjoy, and thanks for watching or listening.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support.

It was a memorable afternoon with the Wests Tigers showing how far the team has come in the past 12 months. But, sadly, in 15 minutes, the Cowboys managed to wrestle the game away from us at a sold-out Leichhardt Oval.On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel is joined by Nick, Zac, and Jordan to look back at the many highs and lows of Sunday afternoon's game. Yes, of course, Jordan contemplates whether he has put a curse on the club after so confidently tipping the boys to win three straight games last year.Well, it's now the end of 2025, and that mini streak still hasn't happened. With only two games left in the 2025 season for the Wests Tigers, we will have to wait until next year! See what Jordan has to say for himself on this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. Some other talking points from the 6-point loss to the Cowboys include:Why do we tend to struggle in big event games? How much of an impact was it losing Adam Doueihi to injury? How the Cowboys showed up to playOur continued struggle in the red zone with our attackSome of the key moments from the game are also up for discussion, including the remarkable Wests Tigers try that was so akin to Pat Richards' Grand Final try twenty years earlier. There's a discussion about the continued impressive performance of Taylan May, the 'Rocks and Diamonds' that is Brent Naden, and concerns about our lack of bench strength as well.As always, heaps of Wests Tigers Podcast Forum 'One Word' submissions feature as well, and we take a look at the big news that the club has secured tens of millions of dollars in funding for an upgrade of Campbelltown Stadium. It's not a post-victory edition of the pod, but we hope you enjoy our take on an afternoon at Leichhardt that was oh so close to being a classic! Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support.

The Wests Tigers players and fans got a chance to catch their breath on the bye round weekend just gone.Picking up two points in the most straightforward way possible was a welcome change from the stress and agony we've all been feeling recently. We thought this would also be a perfect opportunity to welcome a new member of the team, Zac Kelsey from the Tiger Town podcast.Zac has impressed us here at the Wests Tigers Podcast with his knowledge around rugby league and passion for our club, and we look forward to hearing him more often on our podcast. On his debut with us, Zac is joined by Joel and Nick for a look at the latest Wests Tigers news.Wests Tigers news up for discussionThis news includes the re-signing of Adam Doueihi on a two-year deal. We discuss the pros and cons of that move, and try to work out where he lines up in 2026.It also appears that Charlie Staines might be moving on from the club with a deal from the Super League on the table. We look at where that might leave our wing depth. The Wests Tigers Podcast Forum has been continuing to boom in recent times, and we've been creating some topics and polls that feed nicely into our podcast discussions. One poll was in regard to what the club's 2026 recruitment priority should be; it was no surprise that a position was considered the priority by the vast majority of respondents. That gets discussed on this edition of the podcast. We have also listened to the opinions of our forum members, with a number submitting their top 3 reasons to be optimistic about the Wests Tigers' chances in 2026. Joel, Nick, and Zac also give their reasons to be upbeat and list three reasons each around why we should maybe temper our enthusiasm a bit for next year as well.We hope you enjoy this bye-round edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast and hope to see you soon on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support.

The mid-week edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast is warmed up and ready to go!vEddie is back for another hump-day edition and is joined by Declan and Nick for a look at all things Wests Tigers. Some of the main talking points on this pod include a final look back at the win over the Titans with Nick and Declan getting their chance to assess the scrappy one-point victory. There's also a discussion between the boys on what the balance of the 2025 Wests Tigers season looks like. Will it be more of the same? Or has a corner been turned? And what is a pass mark from this point after scoring just two wins out of nine recent matches?Eddie asks a question that I think any Wests Tigers fan would struggle to answer - has the team improved as the season has progressed? The star of Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt Oval, Taylan May, also comes in for closer inspection with the boys looking at what he could bring not just for the rest of the season, but in coming seasons too. There's a discussion on the new long-term contract for Api Koroisau. Will Api's long service at the club make him a Wests Tigers legend? It wouldn't be a Wests Tigers Podcast without Adam Doueihi being on the run sheet, and this edition is no different. The boys discuss his market worth for the 2026 season. After being a bit of a Debbie Downer through 2025, Eddie has captured some positivity and may have a little hope for the team in 2026 (amazing what a slim win over the worst team in the comp can do!).The Panthers clash this weekend is also previewed, and Yioti has gone back in the Wests Tigers time-tunnel for this week's quiz. Could this be the first time the Wests Tigers score three straight wins this decade? After beating the Sharks and Dragons, Wests Tigers have the opportunity to make it three wins in a row this weekend. The club hasn't managed to get a win in three consecutive rounds since 2018. But, it's going to be a tough monkey to get off our backs; the consistently successful Melbourne Storm stands in our way. Oh, and the game is down in the southern capital as well! What else is on this podcast? On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we preview the big clash with the Storm, with opinions divided on our chances. Joel Helmes, Steve Stretton, and Declan McCutcheon also wrap up last weekend's win over St.George-Illawarra with all agreement that our boys have shown some impressive patches of play. There's a round of Buy, Sell or Hold on this mid-week pod with topics ranging from culture to depth, and Adam Doueihi. Talking about Doueihi also opens up discussion about the futures of Brent Naden and Starford To'a at the Wests Tigers. And, who wants David Fifita at our club? The giant edge second-rower looks set to leave the Gold Coast Titans imminently. Should the Wests Tigers be in the market for the big man? What might entice him to come to the Tigers? And what would he be like playing alongside Jerome Luai on our left edge? We try to answer all those questions. Speaking of questions, we also have Yioti's Quiz, and this week's quiz has us looking to answer some questions himself! Including, did you forget Shawn Blore and David Nofoaluma? Let's keep fingers and toes crossed for a win over the Storm this weekend so that not only can our beloved team cement itself in the eight, but that our big 400th episode is a post-victory edition!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Wests Tigers have scored a memorable win over the Sharks in Round 8 of the 2025 NRL season. Coming into the game as outsiders, the Wests Tigers managed to hold the Sharks to 18-all at the end of regular time. But in Golden Point, the boys found a way to win it, with Adam Doueihi kicking a penalty goal for the points! After eight rounds, the Wests Tigers have eight points, a 50% win ratio, and are just outside the top eight. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Nick Hayes and Garry Watson to look at the remarkable events that unfolded at Leichhardt. Some big issues to discuss. The two-point win raises questions around the rest of the season for the Tigers. For example, are there still more improvements to come? What could be tweaked to make us an even more potent football side, not just this year but into next season too? The individual performances on the day from guys like Sunia Turuva, Adam Doueihi, Starford To'a, Jarome Luai, Sione Fainu, Sam Fainu, and Terrell May. While 150-game warrior, Alex Twal, also gets a special mention, not just for his efforts yesterday, but for what he's brought to the Wests Tigers during his career. Naturally, the boys give their one-word submissions from the roller-coaster experience that was Tigers V Sharks, and there are plenty of submissions from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum too. And we give our take on 'Richo's Meter" too, determining just where the Tigers are currently sitting on that Poor to Great scale. While there's also a little bit of player transfer news around that comes up for discussion, including the departure of Tim Johanssen from the club. But really, it's all about a dogged and determined Wests Tigers team that did us all proud at Leichhardt Oval yesterday.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Lachlan Galvin saga has continued this week, leading to this bonus edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. After a strong debate after the story broke on Monday night, followed by more analysis by Eddie and the boys on Wednesday, we now have this third pod for the week. We take a look at the press conferences held by Benji Marshall, then Wests Tigers' captains, Api Koroisau and Jarome Luai. Joel, Garry, and Nick give their thoughts on what was said and why we're starting to see the potential positives of testing out the coach and players' responses to a situation like this. Most importantly, comparing that response to what we have seen in the past from our club and playing group. Is this going to be the issue that finally helps turn Wests Tigers into a more focused and battle-hardened team? Let's make a statement against the Eels! We then turn our attention to the big Monday afternoon clash with the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium. The Easter Monday fixture looks set to be a memorable encounter with the Wests Tigers no doubt out to tell the world they're bigger and better this year, with or without Galvin. The stats show Wests Tigers should be firm favourites, and the Eels have also lost a few players in recent days, but they do welcome back Mitch Moses for the game. We also look at the reshuffle of the Tiger's team, including the move to the halves for Adam Doueihi, and hopefully the remergence of Luai in Batman mode. The return of experienced centre Brent Naden also draws our attention. Big guests at the Ambush. Don't forget to get along to the free Ambush event before the game at CommBank, with two special guests ensuring it should be a memorable experience. Jeral Skelton will be a guest, as will Latu Fainu, and Garry will get the chance to interview both injured Wests Tigers stars. What we hear from Latu should be of particular interest! The Wests Tigers are sitting pretty in the NRL Top Eight after a second straight victory. Traveling north to Redcliffe, the Wests Tigers proved too strong for the home team, coming away with two vital points in a 30-18 victory. In this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Garry Watson and Steve Stretton, and the encouraging signs from the game are covered. Aspects of the Tigers' play that made us happy include the multiple points of attack and the increasing synchronicity of the team. Sure, there were a few things still to work on, we also talked about that as well. We also run through a terrific list of 'One Word' submissions from our valued members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum (we'd love you to add to that list each game too!) Great display of teamwork. While the boys played as a unit, the individual performances of a few players are also discussed, including Jahream Bula, Fonua Pole, Terrell May, Alex Twal, Api Koroisau, and Tallyn Da Silva. We asked the question - is Sunia Turuva the best finisher we've had in a decade? And we played a new game - Was Garry Wrong? The topics in question include Garry's call on the abilities of Adam Doueihi and Alex Seyfarth! (Perhaps a version of this could be used re Eddie Otto and Bula??) Also up for discussion was the possible replacement for Jeral Skelton if he is unable to take on the Warriors next Sunday evening at Campbelltown. Speaking of Campbelltown, Steve has details of the pre-game Ambush event being held at The Beer Shed in Leumeah on Sunday afternoon (to which you are invited). And congratulations to the Wests Tigers on passing another big milestone - 9,000 people have now got Wests Tigers memberships and we think that's a great achievement, but still well short of where we should be. The Wests Tigers proved too strong for Parramatta on Friday night at Leichhardt Oval. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Steve Stretton and Nick Hayes to break down the trial win over the Eels. The boys look at some of the main talking points out of the game, including the form and contribution of recruits Terrell May, Jack Bird, Jeral Skelton, and Royce Hunt. There's discussion around the possible backline for round one, including whether Adam Doueihi will take one of the centre spots, and Heath Mason's prospects at fullback (if chosen). And, naturally, there's a discussion around the Wests Tigers halves with one Wests Tigers Podcast Forum member calling for a radical rethink before the season starts. Wests Tigers forwards impressed The Wests Tigers made more metres than the Eels, more post-contact metres, and made more tackle breaks, but despite this, there were a couple of forwards that had relatively quiet games on Friday. Joel, Steve and Nick take a look at the forward stocks and discuss what might be the best combo for the game against the Knights next weekend. Hooker discussion also comes up with Tristan Hope impressing in his time on the field, but has he done enough to take the nine jersey from Tallyn Da Silva for that game? Do we stick with Alex Twal at lock? And, is it just us, or have this Tiger's team bonded better over the off-season than going into previous seasons? Referee Ashley Klein also gets a mention, though not in a particularly positive manner! Lots of listener contributions Thank you to all the members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum who contributed their 'One Word' responses, naturally, we will stick with this tradition through the season. The boys give their quick summary and thoughts on the Wests Tigers' first trial of the year last Sunday at Kogarah. Then they launch into discussion around the future of Wests Tigers prop-forward, David Klemmer. What to do with big Klem? There is talk that the veteran front-rower might have played his last game for the club. Is it a good move by Wests Tigers to let him go and join the Dragons this close to the kick-off of the season? The boys also discuss what we should do with his roster spot and salary if he does depart for St.George-Illawarra, should we be looking for a second rower instead? Also, does the move leave us light-on upfront, and should we consider Francis Molo as a replacement? Next up, Parramatta. Then the discussion turns to this Friday night's second NRL trial with the Wests Tigers taking on the Eels at Leichhardt Oval. Up for discussion is the selection of Alex Twal at lock, Adam Doueihi at halfback, and the captaincy for Alex Seyfarth, among other topics surrounding this game. After a long off-season Wests Tigers are back in action in the first trial of the 2025 NRL season. The Wests Tigers will meet the Canterbury Bulldogs at Netstrata Stadium (Kogarah Oval) for the trial match at 5pm this Sunday. Ahead of that match, the Wests Tigers Podcast team take a look at the side selected by Benji Marshall, and what our expectations are of the team. Mix of youth and experience Benji has named familiar faces including Lachlan Galvin and David Klemmer for the match, while new recruit Jeral Skelton will also feature on the wing. On this edition of the pod, Joel Helmes, Nick Hayes and Garry Watson put under the microscope the naming of those three likely first round NRL players. Is there anything more to read into their selections? While a whole group of rising stars will also represent the Wests Tigers, including Heath Mason, Latu Fainu, and Tallyn Da Silva. All eyes will also be on round one hopefuls, including Tim Johannssen, Tony Sukkar, Sione Fainu, and Justin Matamua. Sione Fainu was named as an edge forward, does that mean he's a chance of grabbing that seemingly vacant second row spot in the NRL team? A few names missing Also up for discussion is the whereabouts of a few guys that we thought might feature in this first trial, including Adam Doueihi, Starford To'a and Charlie Staines. Does their exclusion mean they're being considered for the NRL team? Brent Naden may have also featured in this game, however he, along with Royce Hunt and Reuben Porter, are on 2025 All Stars duties. What's this? Two post-victory editions of the Wests Tigers Podcast on successive weekends! The Wests Tigers shrugged off a miserable recent record at Campbelltown Stadium yesterday with an energetic performance to put the Raiders out of commission. Winning 48-24, the Wests Tigers have now won as many games in 2024 as they did in the entire 2022 and 2023 seasons. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, a late shuffle sees Eddie Otto step into the host's chair and is joined by Garry Watson and Declan McCutcheon. The boys discuss the big win, including some of the head-turning individual performances from guys like Adam Doueihi and Alex Seyfarth. There's also plenty of attention paid to the enthusiasm being brought to the team in recent times by Wests Tigers youngsters such as Lachlan Galvin and Luke Laulilii. Campbelltown gets discussed too with the die-hard Wests Tigers fans getting behind the side yesterday. And where to from now? Are these two wins over the Titans and Raiders the start of a much better end to the season and that means handing the spoon over to someone else (hopefully Parra!)? We hope you enjoy this big post-win edition of the pod!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We can thank the 19th Century French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr for the famous saying; “plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose”. Translation; the more things change, the more they stay the same. And that is the perfect summation for our Wests Tigers at the moment - the effort is still there, but the poor discipline and the lousy execution are too. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, recorded shortly after the Tigers slumped to their 7th straight loss, Joel Helmes is joined by Declan McCutcheon and Garry Watson. The boys look at the Dolphins game, trying to find what worked and lament what didn't. There's also a discussion on where the team is at this point, for example, are we just a terrible team that has no hope, or are there the green shoots there that one of our 'One Word' contributors mentions? Adam Doueihi is in the news, his possible future at the Wests Tigers is put under the microscope. And are the Federal Government about to pump $50 million into "saving" Leichhardt Oval? We talk about what that investment might mean for the Wests Tigers. It's another post-loss edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, but hey, it must be good because we're getting plenty of practice at those at the moment!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Wests Tigers are back in action in the late game as part of Magic Round on Sunday evening in Brisbane. It's history repeating itself with the Wests Tigers taking on the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium...for the second time this year! Let's hope the result is the reversal of the match played earlier in the season.  Eddie Otto is in the driver's seat for this slightly delayed version of the mid-week podcast. Declan McCutcheon joins Eddie for a look at everything happening in Tiger Town. The boys discuss the Member's email received after the loss to Newcastle last weekend. Also on the agenda is the future of Wests Tigers great, Todd Payten. Poor old Todd is in the doldrums up in the far north...do we get home as an assistant coach in 2025? Eddie has a round of Buy, Sell, or Hold. Some of the topics include the future of Jayden Sullivan and Adam Doueihi, and ask, would Mika Sivo make a good addition to our club? There's also a preview of the Dolphins clash and putting your thinking cap on for the latest edition of Yioti's Quiz.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
