The United Arab Emirates warned has warned Israel that any annexation of the West Bank would constitute a red line for Abu Dhabi that would severely undermine the spirit of the Abraham Accords that normalized relations between the two countries. The comments came as Israel is considering extending sovereignty to at least some parts of Judea and Samaria in response to western states recognizing Palestinian statehood. KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Yisrael Meidad about the possibility of sovereignty. (Photo: Reuters)See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The war of dreamsEver since May 1948, when David Ben-Gurion read the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel, there has been a war of dreams or a war of ideology taking place among the Jewish people in their land.
In this Interview, Jeff talks to Gidon Ariel, Co-Founder of Root Source, from his home near Hebron in Judea and Samaria. Gidon gives his perspective of why Israel had to attack Iran and why those in the West who value freedom and democracy should be supportive of Israel's actions. Gidon Ariel is the founder and CEO of Root-Source, an organization dedicated to promoting respectful relationships between Christians and Jews. Root-Source brings knowledgeable, Israeli teachers and curious Christians together to study the Jewish texts and concepts that are foundational to their faith. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. US bureau chief Jacob Magid joins host Amanda Borschel-Dan for today's Daily Briefing, which will be followed by a full episode of ToI's newest podcast series, the Friday Focus with Lazar Berman. An Egyptian proposal to end renewed fighting in Gaza would see five living hostages released on the first day of the restored ceasefire, with another five living hostages released every 7-10 days, two foreign diplomats with knowledge of the details told The Times of Israel on Wednesday. Magid delves into what else is being reported about this proposal, one of several on the table right now. One well-connected US analyst of the Middle East told Magid this week that the current Israeli government has all but foreclosed any chance for a normalization deal. We hear what Brian Katulis, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute (MEI) who regularly speaks to Saudi and other regional officials, has to say -- and what the Saudis are potentially planning in the meantime. US President Donald Trump’s nominee to serve as ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, tried to present a more moderate stance on Israel and the West Bank -- or Judea and Samaria, as he calls the contested land -- and urged lawmakers at his confirmation hearing on Tuesday to judge him based on his ability to represent the new administration. Magid weighs in. In the Friday Focus, Berman illuminates the ongoing prejudice against Israel's Christians, who make up almost 2% of the country's population. Please see today's ongoing liveblog for more updates. Two women in their 60s and a man aged about 40 were murdered and 10 people were wounded in a shooting attack near the West Bank settlement of Kedumim, west of Nablus. The terror attack was committed in the village Funduk, on Route 55 in Samaria. Two terrorists armed with rifles shot at two private Israeli vehicles and a bus. The 2 women fatalities were traveling in one private vehicle, and the third is a man who was on board the bus. KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with local resident Yigal Dilmoni, founder of American Friends of Judea and Samaria, who says the IDF should act in West Bank Palestinian villages, such as Funduk, like it acts in Gaza. Leaders from the communities in Judea and Samaira penned a letter to the security cabinet calling on the government to take a Gaza-like approach to the terrorist threat emanating from areas under P.A. control. This comes as Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the IDF to bolster security for the communities and roads in Judea and Samaria, as extremist terrorist groups inspired by the fall of the Assad regime, may decide to strike against Jewish targets within the country. This story and all the latest news from Israel on this week's Israel Uncensored, with Josh Hasten.

While he applauded the decision, Hasten says that Israel should stress that the communities gained full recognition - not as a response to terrorist attacks or as a punishment. Rather, Judea and Samaria are the heartland of the State of Israel and the Jewish People and it's our right to live and build in these areas.

Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with one of America's top economists ⏤ former US Congressman Dave Brat, vice-president for business engagement at Liberty University. America's Roundtable conversation with Congressman Dave Brat covers the following key topics: Wealth creation | The growing disparity between America's top 1% and the vanishing middle-class. The persistent inflationary prices adversely impacting America's families. Crisis on America's southern border. | The death of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at the University of Georgia and the arrest of Jose Antonio Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan citizen who immigration officials said entered the U.S. illegally. The policy of peace through strength versus appeasement. The Biden administration's foreign policy placed under the spotlight. Serious concerns are raised about President Biden's Executive Order (EO) which unfairly targets Israeli Jews in Judea and Samaria ⏤ the Biblical heartland of Israel, also known as the West Bank. Biden's EO clearly undermines Israel as a strong rule of law nation. Is this EO a departure of US support for the Jewish state? Is the Abraham Accords ⏤ the promise of peace and prosperity in the Middle East, and beyond? Further reading: Fox Business | Why are groceries still so expensive? Quote from Megan Henney, Fox Business : "While inflation has fallen considerably from a peak of 9.1% notched during June 2022, it remains above the Federal Reserve's 2% goal. And when compared with January 2021, shortly before the inflation crisis began, prices are up a stunning 17.6%. The typical U.S. household needed to pay $211 more a month in December to purchase the same goods and services it did one year ago because of still-high inflation, according to new calculations from Moody's Analytics. Americans are paying on average $1,020 more each month compared with the same time two years ago." americasrt.com (https://americasrt.com/) https://ileaderssummit.org/ | https://jerusalemleaderssummit.com/ America's Roundtable on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/americas-roundtable/id1518878472 Twitter: @DaveBratVA7th @ileaderssummit @AmericasRT @NatashaSrdoc @JoelAnandUSA @supertalk America's Roundtable is co-hosted by Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy, co-founders of International Leaders Summit and the Jerusalem Leaders Summit.
