During the past week Israel moved to establish 22 new communities in the area of Judea and Samaria, a move that furthers Israel’s sovereignty over the area. The Bible speaks of sowing Judea and Israel with the seed of men, and this move is further advancement of the angelic hand in bringing about God’s plan.
On the night of the 16th May, Israel launched a new but preplanned operation in Gaza called “Operation Gideon’s chariots”. This new offensive is deploying forces to seize more territory in the Gaza Strip.
The prophetic scriptures, particularly Ezekiel 38, depict a scenario in the "latter days" where Tarshish and her "young lions" stand in opposition to a northern confederacy invading Israel.Recent geopolitical trade deals involving the United Kingdom (Tarshish) and its former colonies (her young lions) highlight the unfolding of divine purpose in our times.
As the world held its breath, the Cardinals of the Catholic Church elevated a man to the position of “holy father”, yet the Lord Jesus Christ instructed his followers to “call no man father”. The Catholic Church lives up to the scriptural description of AntiChrist and Man of Sin with this latest conclave. The protestant world has stopped protesting, but the scripture is clear on the inevitable future of this system that has gone astray from the Bible.
Since Britain joined the Common Market (the predecessor to the European Union), BIble believers have been convinced that Britain could not remain a member of the union by the time of Christ’s presentation to the world. In 1990, a chapter in the book “Guardians of Israel and Arabia” a chapter was titled “Britain’s Exit from Europe is Inevitable!”. The chapter argued that Britain as Tarshish could not be on both sides of the conflict of Armageddon, and as we see in Ezekiel 38 that Tarshish is opposing (although weakly) the invasion of the land, it cannot also be part of that confederacy of nations that come down into the land.
IntroductionIran and the US have just finished a second round of nuclear talks today (April 19th) in Rome, with a third round planned for next Saturday in Oman. The reason Iran have returned to the table seems to be because of the threat of military action from Israel, sanctioned by the US administration. On Wednesday of this week, Trump was asked about an Israeli plan to strike Iranian nuclear sites as early as next month. He said that he “want in a rush to do it”. He also said in quintessential Trump language: “I think that Iran has a chance to have a great country and to live happily without death... That's my first option. If there's a second option, I think it would be very bad for Iran”. Trump has given Iran a two month deadline for reaching an agreement.
Pete Owen joins on the Bible Magazine channel again for a conversation about the state of world events in light of Bible Prophecy.
The Confirmation hearing of Mike Huckabee gave special insight in the direction the Trump Administration hopes to take its policies on the Middle East. Huckabee, a Christian, made no bones about his support for Israel being based on the Bible and the promises to Abraham.
Since being sworn in for his second term, Donald Trump has been characteristically unpredictable with his trade policy. Tariffs on Canada and Mexico were announced first, then retracted just before coming into force. Rhetoric on tariffs has at times suggested that Trump believed they could completely replace income tax, while at other times he has been less extreme.
The Bible Foretells the Destiny of Turkey in Regard to the Coming of Zion’s King
The prophecies of the last days focus on these mountains of Israel, it is here therefore that we watch with the greatest interest, for God is doing great things. This conversation connects us to a leader of the settlement movement who has raised his family in these mountains, whose son was called up to go into Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, whose grandson belongs to the Hilltop Youth movement, and who sees that the future is bright. Hear for yourself what the Jewish perspective and mindset is.
It's happening! A conversation with John and Pete regarding current events. We discuss the Houthis, the maritime power that is a guardian over Israel and Arabia, and the Russian position as guardian over Europe as called for in the prophecies... and much more!
This week, the world watches with bated breath as Russia engages with the US on peace negotiations with the Ukraine.Recent reports indicate that both nations are exploring avenues for a ceasefire and on Friday 14th March the White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was reported to have said ’we've never been closer to peace’.Students of Bible prophecy see these developments as aligning with ancient predictions concerning the roles of Russia, Ukraine and Europe in the latter days.
As Trump’s presidency continues, the gap between the United States and the European Union is growing. A stark example of this was the now-famous chaotic press conference held between Trump and Zelensky a couple of weeks ago. This highlighted the difference in approach between the Trump administration and the nations of the European Union when it comes to Ukraine. Bible prophecy suggests that there will be a gap between Europe and the Tarshish nations (including America) but, in contrast, an alliance between Russia and the nations of Europe in the latter days. .
Join John Billington, Daniel Blackburn, and Paul Barnes as they discuss the terrible events of the Bibas Family.
At first the western world was united in their support for Ukraine. For years they proudly repeated the phrase “as long as it takes”, describing their support for Ukraine.
The opposition of the Vatican to Israel has become more and more vocal and prominent. The reasons are rooted in the threat a revived nation of Israel represents to the Catholic Church, which claims to have replaced the Jews as the People of God. The Vatican's use of social media has been inciting violence against Jews around the world. Its resistance to Trump's peace plan is rooted in its opposition to the existence of Israel. The prophets of the Bible clearly predict the tale of these two cities which will result in Jerusalem being the center of world worship, and the Catholic Church being removed.
John Billington and Peter Owen discuss in light of scripture Trumps return to the White House, his shocking plan for Gaza, Israel's relief, and much more.
This week marks the third week of Donald Trump's second term as President of the United States of America , and it has been eventful.
This week, three more hostages were set free from the terror organization Hamas, where they had been treated terribly. "Keith Siegel, Yarden Bibas and Ofer Calderon returned to Israel Saturday morning after 484 days in captivity, during which they were held in very difficult conditions.”
This was the week where everything changed in America. The Biden administration left power and Trump’s team entered the Whitehouse. Immediately following the inauguration ceremony began the wave of sweeping presidential executive orders from Trump, on a scale never been seen before this early in any other administration in American history.
This is John Billington with you this week joined by Peter Owen discussing the incredible events through the lens of Bible prophecy.
On New Years Day in New Orleans terrorist Shamsud-Din Jabbar flying the Islamic State flag drove a truck through a crowd of people horrifically killing 15, and injuring 35.
As Syria collapses, Russia has begun withdrawing some of its resources to Libya of all places. This is in keeping with Bible prophecy as we see the stage being set for Armageddon.
The events of the last couple of weeks will substantively change the face of the middle east for decades to come. The brutal Assad regime in Syria has fallen.
The sudden collapse of the Syrian regime brings to light a transforming Middle East as Israel's enemies are subdued, opening potential pathways to peace.
The events of recent weeks have once again highlighted the deeply entrenched animosity of the United Nations (UN) toward Israel, the nation described in Scripture as "the apple of [God's] eye" (Zechariah 2:8). The ongoing campaign against the Jewish state by this global institution is not merely a political controversy; it is a symptom of the moral decay that characterises our age.
Since 2012 Hamas’ leadership have lived in luxury in Qatar. While ordering their military wing into conflicts with Israel from far, the leaders have lived in complete safety and comfort with easy access to the West. However, earlier this month the Biden Administration announced that Qatar had made the decision to expel Hamas from the country ending Qatar being a haven for the terror group.
October 7 last year was the terrible Hamas led attack on Israel. Since then Israel has been at war defending itself from the Hamas terror organization and endeavoring to bring the hostages taken by Hamas back to Israel. Since then America has said they support Israel, while at the same time restraining Israel, pushing for a hostage deal that would keep Hamas in power and threatening and actually withholding arms shipments from Israel. One such time was recently on October 13. The Washiington Post reported that,
As the world braces for the American Election, Bible students can rest assured that the will of the Father will prevail. It is not always what we want but what is needed to bring about His will. We know the eventual outcome of world affairs, but how this end is achieved by the angels, we cannot know. We watch enthusiastically with the Bible in hand, without intervention by vote or voice.
The recently published Asserson Report, has brought to light significant concerns regarding the BBC's coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict. Authored by Trevor Asserson, a prominent British-Israeli lawyer with a history of challenging media bias, this report meticulously analysed the BBC’s reporting across its English and Arabic platforms between October 7, 2023, and February 7, 2024. The report used both human analysis and AI to scrutinise nearly nine million words of coverage, highlighting over 1,500 breaches of the BBC's own editorial guidelines.
Israel has been under fire from Hamas, Hezbollah, Yemen and Iran – and yet God continues to deliver them from their enemies. The nations of the world have united at the United Nations to condemn Israel, and this is a political manifestation of the perpetual hatred or enmity spoken of in Genesis 3:15. As the world becomes increasingly hostile, Israel becomes increasingly successful. This is God’s doing and marvellous in his eyes, hailing the way for God's coming kingdom.
The elimination of Hassan Nasrallah could lead into the peace and safety found in Ezekiel 38
Since the October 7th attack on Israel, there has been a low-level war of attrition between Israel and the Hezbollah terror group. This has forced 60,000 Israelis to be evacuated from the bordering towns and villages, living in bed and breakfasts and hotels with their lives on hold for nearly a year. Over the last week the conflict in Israel’s north has escalated. On September 17th at 3:30pm pagers, used by the terror group, simultaneously exploded throughout the country. It is believed as many as 5,000 devices may have been involved with the initial attack.
At the end of this last week, Catholic pope Francis was returning from a visit to Asia aboard the Papal plane, accompanying him was a group of journalists. The journalists asked him predominantly about political matters, there were questions regarding the places he had visited; Singapore, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia; and also questions about China, the upcoming American election and the war in Israel. Notably the questions about the places just visited were not highlighted in the official Vatican article, nor hardly taken notice of by the large news networks. The number one issue highlighted was the war in Israel and second to this was the upcoming election in the United States.
The media hype around Ukraine's Kursk offensive is overshadowed by Angelic forces at play. No matter what the media might report, God has a plan for Russia, which will result in its eventual success in taking not only Ukraine but much of Europe. Ukraine is fast bleeding out its resources, and the Russian bear is ready to move in and fulfil its biblical destiny.
This weekend brings further tragedy and mourning in Israel as the bodies of 6 hostages have been recovered from Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip. The bodies were discovered in a tunnel by the IDF on Sunday morning.

On Wednesday Hamas’ political leader, Ismail Haniyeh was killed in his hotel apartment in Tehran. This week we will examine who Isamil Haniyeh was, and how the overall conflict between Israel and Iran and her proxies fits into Bible prophecy.
Examining Media Bias Against Israel
The coming US election looks likely to reintroduce Trump to the world stage with far reaching effects which could impact Europe and the position of Russia. This week we examine all of this from the perspective of the Biblical prophecy of Ezekiel 38.
It’s been a very dramatic week in this turbulent world, the continuing war in Israel, Russia gaining ground in Ukraine and culminating with an attempted assassination on former President of the United States, Donald Trump. A number of shots were fired at Trump, one of which actually hit his ear, literally a quarter inch away from killing him. The already iconic pictures of Trump raising his fist in the air after the assassination attempt, will go down in history.
Yesterday was general election day in the UK after Rishi Sunak, the Prime minister as was, called an election six weeks ago.
As we write this weeks edition, results are coming in from the French election. Provisional results are showing a dramatic shift to the right with Marine Le Pen currently projected to have won around a third of the vote. This is up dramatically from the 17.3% her party won just two years ago.
I was surprised when our family took a recent trip to the Holocaust memorial in Montreal to learn how much antisemitism there was in Canada during the Second World War. Maybe I shouldn’t have been because I knew that Canada had very restrictive policies about Jewish emigration at that time, as did most of the world, but when I saw this sign, I found it a little shocking:
In this weeks Bible in the News we examine the connection with Russia’s involvement in Africa and Bible Prophecy
This week has been a busy one for the haters of the Jewish people. The International criminal court has filed an application for the arrest warrant of Israeli PM Netanyahu and the defence minister Yoav Gallant. On the same day, the ICC also issued a request for the warrant of Yahya Sinwar the commander of Hamas in Gaza - this carefully choreographed moment ensured that the world could see the moral equivalence that the ICC is placing between a genocidal terrorist group and the state of Israel.
Throughout history God’s people of Israel have been hated by the nations around it. From the time Israel was in Egypt, Pharaoh attempted to destroy the nation by killing all the male children in the Nile of Egypt. The Edomites were condemned by Obediah: “For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.”, the hatred of the Philistines for Israelites was called “the old hatred” by Ezekiel. When Israel was scattered from their land in AD135 they were persecuted wherever they went, and were never allowed to settle or mingle with the local populus. They were blamed for the Black Death and used as scapegoats. They were constantly in fear of pogroms and expulsion, with 100,000 killed in 1100 different pogroms in just the first few years after the First World War.
