In a fitting conclusion, Aggrey Aluso, the Director, Africa Region and global policy lead for the Pandemic Action Network, driving strategic advocacy efforts in Africa and globally joins the conversation. Born, raised and currently based in Kenya, Aggrey also serves as the incoming Executive Director of Resilience Action Network Africa (RANA), PAN's networked advocacy partner, where he is mobilizing advocates to champion an Africa-centric, globally-facing resilience agenda. Prepare yourself for an explosive episode as Michael Jaco and Rafael Conquista dive deep into the riveting and controversial world of the January 6th trial. This podcast episode uncovers the hidden machinations and dark underbelly of the trial of Cindy "Grandma" Lu, revealing a web of government manipulation and FBI overreach. Michael Jaco and Rafael Conquista offer a gripping analysis of Cindy Lu's courtroom battle, highlighting the defense's courageous stand against what they term "deep state FBI propaganda." They scrutinize the prosecution's attempt to discredit Cindy by portraying her as a “crazy person” through her social media posts and argue that the jury must see beyond these tactics to deliver true justice. Delve into a discussion that exposes the alleged corruption and manipulation within the justice system. From a rigged system tarnishing reputations to an impartial judge defying federal overreach, the conversation lays bare the systemic issues and ethical breaches plaguing the legal landscape. Michael and Rafael reflect on the wisdom of Jerry Spence's legal tactics and hope for a breakthrough defense presentation that could potentially unearth government corruption. As they dissect the intricacies of this high-stakes case, the speakers draw parallels to landmark legal battles like Roe v. Wade, highlighting how hidden agendas may shape judicial outcomes. They critique the influence of British maritime law and its impact on the American legal system, emphasizing the urgent need for transparency and accountability. The episode also takes a sharp turn into the realm of health and international politics. Michael and Rafael express their deep skepticism about COVID-19 restrictions, the monkeypox outbreak, and the role of American biolabs. They question potential government overreach and manipulation, warning of emerging global threats and the dangers posed by new bioweapons. The discussion touches on the potential influence of the UN and the looming threat of mandatory vaccines, while also addressing concerns about antibiotic resistance exacerbated by EMF radiation. The speakers advocate for natural detoxification methods and caution against the overuse of detox supplements. Michael and Rafael's conversation is a whirlwind of critical insights, from the potential fallout of the upcoming UN Summit to the broader implications of the January 6th trial. They challenge listeners to stay informed, engage with their communities, and fight against systemic injustices with a renewed sense of purpose. “The SDSN has been set up to mobilize research and science for the Sustainable Development Goals. Each year, we aim to provide a fair and accurate assessment of countries' progress on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The development goals were adopted back in 2015 by all UN member states, marking the first time in human history that we have a common goal for the entire world. Our goal each year with the SDG index is to have sound methodologies and translate these into actionable insights that can generate impactful results at the end of the day. Out of all the targets that we track, only 16 percent are estimated to be on track. This agenda not only combines environmental development but also social development, economic development, and good governance. Currently, none of the SDGs are on track to be achieved at the global level.”In today's podcast, we talk with Guillaume Lafortune, Vice President and Head of the Paris Office of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), the largest global network of scientists and practitioners dedicated to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We discuss the intersections of sustainability, global progress, the UN Summit of the Future, and the daunting challenges we face. From the impact of war on climate initiatives to transforming data into narratives that drive change, we explore how global cooperation, education, and technology pave the way for a sustainable future and look at the lessons of history and the power of diplomacy in shaping our path forward.Guillaume Lafortune joined SDSN in 2017 to lead work on SDG data, policies, and financing including the preparation of the annual Sustainable Development Report (which includes the SDG Index and Dashboards). Between 2020 and 2022 Guillaume was a member of The Lancet Commission on COVID-19, where he coordinated the taskforces on “Fiscal Policy and Financial Markets” and “Green Recovery”, and co-authored the final report of the Commission. Guillaume is also a member of the Grenoble Center for Economic Research (CREG) at the Grenoble Alpes University. Previously, he served as an economist at the OECD in Paris and at the Ministry of Economic Development in the Government of Quebec (Canada). Guillaume is the author of 50+ scientific publications, book chapters, policy briefs and international reports on sustainable development, economic policy and good governance.“The SDSN has been set up to mobilize research and science for the Sustainable Development Goals. Currently, none of the SDGs are on track to be achieved at the global level.”SDSN's Summit of the Future RecommendationsSDG Transformation CenterSDSN Global Commission for Urban SDG Financewww.creativeprocess.infowww.oneplanetpodcast.orgIG www.instagram.com/creativeprocesspodcast
