A year ago, walking the halls of Capitol Hill, the support for Israel was visible, vocal, and morally clear. This year, in addition to the growing amount of anti-Israel voices from the Democrats, I was surprised to hear a different tone from a number of Republicans, fueled by a growing misinformation campaign trying to turn American Christians against the one country in the Middle East where Christians are truly protected. Israel continues to enjoy broad support from the Republican party, but we cannot be passive while a coordinated misinformation campaign, likely driven by actors such as Qatar, Iran, China, Russia, or some combination, works to erode it.
