The other day, the government of Israel approved the building of a new city in the Shomron to be called SHIRA, on Highway 5, east of Rosh HaAyin, on the way to the city of Ariel. Tens of thousands of apartments will be built. On 9,500 dunams of land that will be home to over 100,000 Jews. Eastern Gush Dan. Half an hour to Tel Aviv. Next to the train.This didn't happen by accident.Smotrich and Netanyahu. A partnership that has totally changed the map of Israel like never before. Approved over 100 new communities in Judea and Samaria. New cities. Around 160 farms reclaiming the land, stopping the illegal Palestinian Authority land grab backed by EU funding. What used to take twenty years now happens in weeks. Now Smotrich has announced doing the same thing in the Negev and Galil, two areas the Arabs have been taking over, making Jews the minority, with no government pushback. He will finally take care of that too. Anyone who knows the government bureaucracy, and the deep state power that has allowed the Arab takeover of the Galil and Negev, understands how many roadblocks Smotrich has to overcome. That is the revolution. That is the vision becoming facts on the ground.And it will stop the second Israelis hand the keys of government back over to deep state powers on the political left, today being led by Eizenkot.After October 7, after the massacre, after Nova, after the country burned, too many Israelis are still ready to vote for the bloc that would make Gadi Eisenkot prime minister. The same man who, as IDF Chief of Staff, hollowed out the army and sold the country the religion of containment, belittled the Jewish concept of rising up to kill those who want to kill you, and “quiet will be met with quiet.” That doctrine didn't give us peace. It gave our enemies years to train, tunnel, arm, and walk into our homes.Eisenkot is not a leader; he's a product. No spine, no charisma, no new thinking since October 7. Invoking Queen Esther, she suggested Jews may have to “sacrifice the comfort, safety and security and even the very future of our own people” to save humanity. She asked what good it is to defend Israel “if the planet upon which it rests is no longer inhabitable,” then: “Come November, what do your Jewish values tell you to do?”Esther risked herself to save the Jewish people. She did not risk the Jewish people to keep a party coalition intact.For too many Jews, Democratic affiliation has replaced Judaism as a civilization - Torah, peoplehood, history, Eretz Yisrael, continuity - with a universalist politics branded as tikkun olam. Caring for humanity is Jewish. Sacrificing Jewish survival is not. Brigadier General (res.) Oren Solomon is an October 7 hero. On the morning of the massacre he left home in the Gaza envelope with his son, not as a deployed unit but as a father and a fighter. For years, Israelis have been told to dream about peace and normalization with Saudi Arabia. Imagine Israel, Saudi Arabia and the moderate Sunni states standing together against their common enemy: the Shiite jihadi regime of Iran.But that dream may be turning into a strategic nightmare.The Middle East is shifting again. But we cannot confuse today's shared interests with permanent alliances, or build Israel's survival upon diplomatic promises, in an Arab Muslim world educated on 1,400+ years of jihad.Iran was once Israel's strategic partner. Turkey once enjoyed close military relations with Israel. Today, both are our biggest enemies. Alliances change. Interests change. As Middle East expert Dr. Mordechai Kedar once told me: agreements in the Middle East are like “sand in the wind.”This is also why total victory matters.Israel has achieved extraordinary military successes against Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. But decisive victory means creating a strategic reality in which every government in the region understands that attacking Israel carries an unbearable price, and that Israel is the strongest, most dependable power in the neighborhood.That is real deterrence.Make agreements. Celebrate normalization. Expand the Abraham Accords. But Israel must never surrender strategic territory, sacrifice defensible borders or entrust Jewish survival to international guarantees in exchange for promises of peace.The Jewish people returned home after 2,000 years to determine our own destiny.Strength creates deterrence. Deterrence prevents war. Israel recently did something that represents one of the most important national-security shifts since October 7.Early Tuesday morning, Israeli jets struck the Abu al-Duhur airbase in northwestern Syria, damaging the runway and storage facilities. The reason was simple: Israel had intelligence that Syria was preparing to allow Turkish forces to deploy there. Israel warned Syria repeatedly. Syria ignored the warnings. So Israel acted — before Turkey could establish drones, aircraft, weapons, or air defenses on that base.Prime Minister Netanyahu's office said Israel will not tolerate threats to its security. Netanyahu's message to Turkey was even shorter: “Don't.”This is huge not because Israel bombed another site in Syria. It is huge because of when Israel acted. Israel did not wait for the threat to become entrenched. Compare that to 2023, when Hezbollah erected armed tents along the northern border and Israel spent months pursuing diplomacy, afraid of escalation and international condemnation. After 44 years, IDF soldier Yehuda Yekutiel Katz, HY”D, is finally home.Yehuda was only 22 when he fought in the Battle of Sultan Yacoub during the First Lebanon War on June 11, 1982. Over the past few weeks, jihadis in Gaza launched kites that crossed the border and landed in or near Israeli communities. For years, similar kites were used as arson weapons, burning Israeli fields and nature reserves.This time, Defense Minister Israel Katz issued the policy Israel should have had years ago: “We view every launch as an act of war in every sense.” He instructed the IDF to respond immediately and forcefully to any kite, balloon, or drone from Gaza, with or without explosives. “A balloon is treated like a kite, and a kite is treated like a drone.” Most important: “We will not allow a return to the reality of before October 7.”That is the shift. A primitive weapon is still a weapon. A cheap kite is still an attack if it is launched from enemy territory toward Israeli civilians. For years Israel absorbed “small” terrorism: incendiary kites in 2018, Hamas-organized border riots labeled as protests, and legal distinctions that left soldiers hesitant while Hamas tested the fence. On August 21, 2021, Border Police officer Barel Hadaria Shmueli, HY”D, was shot through a firing slit at point-blank range during one of those riots.October 7 showed where that doctrine ends. Hamas studied Israel's restraint. It learned that rockets were treated as war, while kites, balloons, and fence riots were treated as disturbances. Then came the massacre.These latest kites may not have carried explosives. That does not make them innocent. Jihadi groups probe first, normalize the abnormal, then escalate. Did you hear the latest manufactured scandal? MK Tzvi Sukkot destroyed a Palestinian Authority monument that glorifies the terrorist Yaman Faraj, a jihadi terrorist responsible for multiple attacks that have killed and injured dozens of Jews. Of course MK Sukkot did the right thing. The outrage that followed only exposes the complete moral inversion we are living in, and the urgent need for stronger leadership.Journalist Elhanan Gruner reported the monument to the IDF back in early July after ice cream was handed out to village children in Faraj's memory at the monument. The Judea and Samaria Division commander promised to handle it. Days later the IDF claimed they couldn't find it, while soldiers on the ground had already located the monument and were begging for permission to destroy it.Prime Minister Netanyahu then criticized Sukkot for “taking the law into his own hands.” That response is exactly the problem. He should have said to the world: 'You are upset about a monument celebrating a terrorist? Be upset about the daily terror and the PA's pay-for-slay system funded by international money. Of course we will destroy these monuments. This is not a bureaucratic 'taking the law into ones own hands' issue, it is about removing evil.'Remember the hypocrisy. Progressive activists across America toppled, defaced, and destroyed hundreds of historic monuments and statues with barely any lasting internal or international outrage. Yet when a Jewish MK removes a monument that celebrates the murder of Jews, the world and even parts of Israel's leadership erupt in condemnation. That double standard is not accidental. It is the moral inversion at the heart of this conflict.Israel must implement the Rudy Giuliani methodology of rule. Terror monuments are the broken windows of this war. Leaving them standing signals weakness. Destroying them signals that the rules have changed. MK Sukkot did not incite terror, leaving the monument intact and criticizing his actions do.Three years after October 7, these symbols still stand while our enemies laugh at our hesitation. Jared Kushner, representing the United States government, recently met in Egypt with Khalil al-Hayya, Hamas's overall leader, a former deputy to Yahya Sinwar who was connected to preparations for the October 7 massacre.Al-Hayya did not condemn October 7. He praised it as a “military accomplishment” and “source of pride” to be passed down through generations. This is the Hamas leader Kushner reportedly said had spoken “all the right things.”To Kushner's credit, he demanded that Hamas surrender its weapons, relinquish control of Gaza and dismantle its terrorist infrastructure. Yet Hamas's public statement did not explicitly promise disarmament. Instead, Hamas demanded that Israel stop fighting, withdraw from Gaza and permit reconstruction.Pressure Israel first. Trust Hamas later.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected that dangerous sequence. He insisted that Hamas surrender every weapon, dismantle its tunnels and completely demilitarize Gaza before any Israeli withdrawal or reconstruction.Israel tried withdrawal and promises in 2005. We destroyed 21 thriving Jewish communities and expelled nearly 10,000 Jews from Gaza. Instead of peace, Gaza became an Iranian-, Qatari- and Turkish-backed terrorist state that eventually launched October 7.Washington must also confront the influence of Qatar and Turkey, regimes closely associated with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. A 1991 internal Muslim Brotherhood memorandum, later introduced as evidence in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism-financing trial, described a “civilization-jihadist process” aimed at undermining Western civilization from within.This is not only Israel's battle. As fighting with Hezbollah returned days ago, something extraordinary is happening in Lebanon that deserves far more attention.For decades, Israel fought the same disastrous cycle: defeat our enemies militarily, face international pressure to withdraw, trust international guarantees, watch the terrorists rebuild, and eventually fight another war.Today, that paradigm is beginning to change.Hezbollah continues to demonstrate why Israel can never withdraw from southern Lebanon while the terrorist organization remains armed. Yet the critical development is diplomatic: the United States is increasingly placing responsibility on Hezbollah to disarm rather than demanding that Israel withdraw first.That is a HUGE shift.Israel learned the hard way what happens when we surrender strategic territory based on international promises. We withdrew from southern Lebanon in 2000, while Hezbollah built an enormous terrorist army under UNIFIL's watch. We withdrew from Gaza in 2005, uprooting nearly 10,000 Jews and destroying 21 Jewish communities. Hamas responded with rockets, terror tunnels and ultimately the October 7 massacre.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has helped change the diplomatic equation: Hezbollah must be dismantled and southern Lebanon demilitarized before Israel can be expected to withdraw.Is this the decisive victory Israel ultimately needs? No. Hezbollah remains dangerous, Iran continues orchestrating terror across the Middle East, and Israel must ensure that its northern communities can never again face this threat by remaining in our Jewish tribal lands of Dan & Naftali in Southern Lebanon forever. The latest “settler violence” story from Qusra is another dangerous example of how the Palestinian Authority's misinformation machine is manipulating American officials, international media and even genuine friends of Israel.The incident did not occur deep inside a peaceful Arab village. It unfolded on Jabal Ein Aneva, strategic high ground between Migdalim and the Shilo bloc that the Palestinian Authority has reportedly been working to seize through illegal construction and the creation of facts on the ground.Qusra also has a documented history of terrorism and violent attacks against Jews. Yet that critical context disappeared as Jewish shepherds and families at Tel Talfiot were immediately portrayed as violent extremists and “terrorists.”Even U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee initially repeated this framing before walking back his remarks. I recently walked through two beautiful European cities with deep Jewish history. The synagogues still stand. The stories are remembered. Across North America, Europe, and Australia, antisemitic attacks keep rising. Jewish schools need heavy security. Synagogues look like fortresses. Many Jews now hide Jewish symbols in public. Just a few years ago this was unnecessary. Today the warning signs are unmistakable. Jewish history is repeating itself.Yet at this exact moment, so much of the Jewish conversation is consumed by the latest blood libel: so-called “settler violence.” Analysis of the UN's own OCHA database shows that the vast majority of listed incidents do not involve Jewish settlers attacking anyone. The data includes jihadi attacks on Israelis, security-force incidents, property disputes, and more. After filtering, only a small fraction remains — and even that is heavily manipulated. The 1991 Muslim Brotherhood Explanatory Memorandum, entered into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial, called this work a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” aimed at destroying Western civilization from within.These are not fringe statements. They come from the institutional networks that shape American Muslim political life. The same ideology produces chants of “Khaybar Khaybar ya Yahud" celebrating the Muslim massacre of Jews back in 628 EC, celebrations of October 7, and the refusal to clearly condemn jihadi violence.El-Sayed's primary win, like the rise of figures such as Mamdani in New York, is a symptom. The larger reality is a supremacist jihadi political-religious ideology embedding itself in American elections, media, academia, and institutions. We were forbidden from drinking from the water fountains on the Temple Mount. Muslim rioters regularly harassed visitors and tried to block any strengthening of the Jewish connection to our holiest site in Jerusalem — Har HaBayit.That reality is slowly but steadily changing. More Jews are now ascending the Temple Mount in accordance with Jewish law. More are praying, singing, and reconnecting with the place where the Divine Presence once dwelled and will dwell again. The greatest shift, however, is not only in the regulations. It is in the consciousness of the Jewish people.An increasing number of Jews now understand that the rebuilding of the Third Temple is not a distant dream or purely religious aspiration. It is our national destiny. The Temple is far more than a house of worship. It is the national home for God's Presence among the Jewish people, the place from which we are meant to bring knowledge of God, morality, and holiness to all humanity.Just as we trust God's wisdom in the commandments of Shabbat and kashrut, we can trust His command to build His House in our homeland, in Jerusalem. It is not happening fast enough, but it is real.
