So we said last week when we released episode 100 that it was difficult to edit because there was just so much good material and we wanted to keep the show around the one-hour mark. We couldn't let all this good material go to waste, so episode 101 is the best of what got cut from episode 100! Note that some of these segments appeared in episode 100, but we have the full unedited segment. The first segment is D.J. going on about Jeppson's Malört, first with Kate and then second with guests Adam Corsair and Kevin Pettit. Learn about this infamous Chicago drink and why some people call it the "World's Worst Liquor". In our next segment, we return to the interview with Ralph Schudel and play a clip from before we actually started the segment. It turns out to be a lot of bad impressions (Tom Brokaw, Dick Vitale and his Hooters Commercial (https://youtu.be/RSdyD-1xdk0), Gheorghe Muresan and his Snickers cologne commercial (https://youtu.be/CuU9DjeLESY), and former Cavalier/Laker Timofey Mozgov with the backward jersey (https://youtu.be/mWS9OaIXH4E). Next, we have a quick clip of Kate (15:06) talking about how she signed up for Red Bull Flugtag when she was 13 and the interesting response she got from the company... Finally, we have a nice discussion with Adam Corsair and Kevin Pettit about giving up on podcasts, the surprisingly low number of episodes it takes to be in the "top 1%" of most episodes released, taking criticism online for takes, handling negative reviews....and then Canadian Geese? As of this recording, Kevin was about to head off to record LADS episode 225. We talk about how Kevin and his co-host Martin Frasier got into recording a soccer podcast and the challenges of recording the show after they were no longer roommates in Philadelphia. Meet Proof of Impact who are using Blockchain, complex algorithms and a Micro Services approach to verify environmental, social and health impact at a granular, unit level. Kevin discusses the unique process of digitally verifying impact projects, unitising and creating impact securitisation models, and creating customised portfolios for enterprises. A fascinating and scalable approach to driving social and climate impact. In this episode we discuss: - How securitisation (the financial mechanism behind mortgages) can be applied to social impact projects - Defining what is a 'unit' of impact, the required digital verification models, and creating immutable proofs - Dynamic impact 'pricing' based on differing levels of verification - Using the Ethereum blockchain for tokenisation, and which is the best protocol for tokenising a Rhino - How to scale a global Blockchain impact platform - Proof of Impact's involvement in the COVID19 response, and a call for support You can find more about Proof of Impact here: https://proofofimpact.com/ Proof of Impact Twitter: @proofofimpact And Kevin's LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevindeanpettit/
