The 2026 FIFA World Cup has begun. Mexico claimed victory over South Africa in the opening match of the tournament – scoring a goal in each half to win the match 2-nil. Next up, South Korea and the Czech Republic are taking the centre stage at Guadalajara Stadium. The current favourites to win the Cup are Spain, France, Brazil, and England, with Argentina close behind. But Weekend Sport Host Jason Pine told Francesca Rudkin there are some underdogs worth keeping an eye on, such as Japan and Ecuador. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Using a recent Kentucky case involving the abduction and recovery of an elderly woman as a point of comparison, Jen explores what investigators and the public should consider when evaluating potential scenarios. Dust off your pagers and grab a Surge soda! This week, Dave and Rob are hopping into the time machine and dialing the coordinates to June 9th, 1996. The box office was dominated by Mission: Impossible, the Macarena was slowly taking over the planet, and the Billboard Hot 100 was a wild mix of legendary hip-hop, R&B royalty, alt-rock, and powerhouse vocalists What makes this specific week so legendary is the sheer, whiplash-inducing sonic contrast sharing real estate on the charts. It was a bizarre and beautiful era where the mournful, rapid-fire hip-hop harmonies of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and 2Pac's aggressive West Coast swagger sat side-by-side with the pristine, sweeping adult contemporary ballads of Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. Throw in the raw acoustic storytelling of Tracy Chapman, Alanis Morissette's alt-rock bite, and a rising, inescapable bilingual novelty dance craze like the Macarena, and you get a snapshot of a musical landscape that was wildly fragmented yet universally massive Chapters 00:00 - Pagers, Surge, and the Macarena: Welcome to 1996 2:10 - Remembering Peabo Bryson and Our Influencer Status 4:07 - Graduating into 1996's Wildly Fragmented Music Scene 9:22 - Diving Into the Billboard Hot 100: Cuts & Honorable Mentions 13:15 - "5:00" by Nonchalant: A 90s Hip Hop Gem 18:36 - "Sweet Dreams" by La Bouche: Eurodance 1996 22:11 - "Tres Delinquentes": West Coast Latin Rap's Breakthrough 26:37 - "Old Man and Me": Hootie's Underrated Sophomore Album 30:25 - Kicking Off our Best of 1996 Billboard Top 10 31:27 - Everclear's "Heart Spark Dollar Sign": An Interracial Love Story 35:00 - Coolio's "1,2,3,4": A Fun Summer Jam 38:57 - Dishwalla's "Counting Blue Cars": Mid-90s Post Grunge Classic 42:36 - Garbage's "Only Happy When It Rains": A 90s Rock Anthem 46:25 - Lenny Kravitz's "Can't Get You Off My Mind" 49:52 - Goo Goo Dolls "Name": A Chart-Topping Personal Ballad 57:13 - Brandy's "Sittin' Up In My Room": A Teen Infatuation Anthem 59:50 - The Tony Rich Project's "Nobody Knows": Country Crossover Hit 1:05:12 - Tracy Chapman's "Give Me One Reason": A Bluesy Career Revitalizer 1:08:04 - Smashing Pumpkins' "1979": The Quintessential Gen X Song 1:10:08 - Snapple, Clearly Canadian, and Our 1996 Billboard List Review Playlists: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3IEysWlUdIzxLhnrSmu1bx?si=DVgK8cegRq-FqwVtoZGlqQ Apple:https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/billboard-hot-100-june-9th-1996/pl.u-76oN9NpFNz2Y05?ls Amazon: Click HERE to access the Amazon playlist for this episode https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/1996-06-15/ Connect with Totally 80s and 90s Recall Website: https://bleav.com/shows/totally-80s-and-90s-recall/ Email: 80s90srecall@gmail.com Voicemail: (509) 426-4542 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/80s90srecall Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 1 Jump back in time as Rob Cesternino and Chappell kick off a brand new rewatch series, “Kaôh F***ing R?ng,” diving deep into Survivor Season 32: Kaôh R?ng—Brains vs. Beauty vs. Brawn. Ten years after its original airing, this recap series launches with a close look at the season premiere, where the heat is fierce, strategy starts immediately, and big personalities dominate the island from day one. Hosted by Rob Cesternino and joined by Chappell, this full-spoiler rewatch episode unpacks why Survivor: Kaôh R?ng still stands out in the franchise. The duo zeroes in on camp life taking center stage, from the shock of Jennifer's ear bug nightmare to the infamous split of the Brains tribe and Ty’s heartfelt depiction as a multi-layered “beauty.” Chappell and Rob walk through the episode's retro vibes, contrasting old-school Survivor premieres with today’s high-octane new era, and debate whether the season's memorable characters owe their impact to casting or clever editing. Key moments include: – Aubry's rocky start on the Brains tribe and her season-long growth arc – Debbie's arrival as a fully-formed Survivor original, giving “coach energy” right from her first confessional – Ty's struggle fitting in on the Beauty tribe and why his vulnerability wins hearts – The Brawn tribe's messy first Tribal Council, including a tie vote and a first boot that stuns both hosts – Hot takes on Scott and Jason as Survivor's last true “villains” and how the show's editing shaped their portrayals Rob and Chappell question which gameplay choices early in Kaôh R?ng shaped the flaming dynamics that follow—did the show lose its “North Star,” or is this the era Survivor got the balance right? They also look at how the season's themes and casting twists shaped both the episode and Survivor's evolution. Don't miss this nostalgia-packed Survivor 32 deep dive—tune in to see whether this classic season still delivers the heat, and join the conversation as the “Kaôh F***ing R?ng” journey continues. Send us Fan MailYour backyard peak can be more than a workout, it can be a measuring stick for an entire community. We're joined by Kelsey Quinn from La Sportiva marketing plus athletes Anton Krupicka, Jason Dorias, and Tom Goth to unpack the La Sportiva Green Mountain and Grandeur Peak Challenge, running May 15 through June 15. The goal is simple and addictive: chase the fastest uphill time, stack the most summits, or just get in the game and let the mountain sharpen you. We get into why Green Mountain in Boulder has become a daily ritual for so many trail runners, from its proximity to town to the sheer number of ways you can climb it. Anton shares the kind of long-view perspective only years of repeats can create: how the trail has rerouted over time, how pre-Strava “ghost times” still shape the lore, and why breaking 30 minutes remains a real marker in mountain running. Then we shift to Grandeur Peak in Salt Lake City, a steep, clean effort that functions like a perfect vertical kilometer and a favorite training tool for ski mountaineers. Tom and Jason talk routes, strategy, and the local history of FKTs and early Strava rivalries, including why the West Grandeur line is such a magnet for uphill specialists and why poles often win the day. We also cover the prizes, including $750 cash for the fastest man and woman, awards for the most completions, and raffle entries for anyone who participates. If you're near Boulder or the Wasatch Front, this is your excuse to learn the route, test your pacing, and add your name to the story. Subscribe, share this with a training partner, and leave a review if you want more conversations like this.Details For Grandeur You have from May15 to June15 to complete the Grandeur Peak West Climb segment. The fastest single ascent (trailhead → summit) for both Male & Female during this timeframe will receive $750 cash each! The most verified summits during event window (Top 3 Most Completions) during this timeframe will receive $500 | $350 | $150 each!Every registered participant will be entered for a chance to win a pair of La Sportiva Mountain Running shoes (5 total) + other prizes!Dates:The challenge runs from May 15 to June 15, 2026.Details for Green The Challenge:You have from May15 to June15 to complete the Green Mountain via Amphitheater/Saddle Rock/Greenman Trail segment. The fastest single ascent (trailhead → summit) for both Male & Female during this timeframe will receive $750 cash each! The most verified summits during event window (Top 3 Most Completions) during this timeframe will receive $500 | $350 | $150 each!Every registered participant will be entered for a chance to win a pair of La Sportiva Mountain Running shoes (5 total) + other prizes!Dates:The challenge runs from May 15 to June 15, 2026.To Sign up for the Green Mountain Challenge - > RegisterTo Sign up for the Grandeur Peak Challenge -> RegisterFollow Anton Krupicka on IG - @antonkrupickaFollow Jason Dorias on IG - @jasondoriasFollow Tom Goth on IG - @tomgothUse code SteepStuff for 20% your cart on Sidas.usFollow James on IG - @jameslaurielloFollow the Steep Stuff Podcast on IG - @steepstuff_podFollow Sidas USA on IG - @sidas_usa

Super Round has set Christchurch alight. It kicked off in Christchurch's brand new One NZ Stadium last night, the Crusaders claiming a comprehensive win over the Waratahs. Super Rugby Pacific CEO Jack Mesley told Piney he couldn't be happier with the results. “I knew it was gonna be a success, you could see the ticket sales data and things like that, but I probably underestimated the level of emotion that it meant for, you know, everyone from this part of the world.” “It just turned into a party really.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are loving season two of Jury Duty, Company Retreat, and we talk about how the show does an amazing job at casting their unsuspecting foils. Susie has an update on the anal bead scandal that rocked the chess world, and why it turns out the rumor has an unlikely origin. We celebrate the incredible Artemis II crew, and their incredible mission to space (and also how hot they all are). We discuss the Moriah Wilson documentary about the murder of the gravel cyclist by a jealous woman, and how we never get sick of analyzing the unhinged behavior of sociopaths. Scientists were able to watch a sperm whale birth, and made some shocking revelations about how it happens, why it's similar to humans, and why it was a mystery until now. We find out about a surprising trick to keeping seagulls away from your food that scholars recently discovered.00:00 - Kicking Off the Episode with Golden Girls Dreams04:39 - Unpacking the Genius Casting of Jury Duty's Company Retreat20:50 - Balancing Hormones with Veracity Cortisol Calming Supplement & Celebrating the Hot and Humble Artemis Il Crew27:50 - Analyzing Sociopathic Behavior in the Moriah Wilson Murder34:23 - Shocking Revelations from the First Observed Sperm Whale Birth43:23 - Squarespace: Your All-in-One Platform for Online Presence45:04 - Navigating Relationship Gaps with Disney Adults and Fandoms55:51 - The Surprising Trick to Keeping Seagulls Away from Food01:01:56 - Episode Recap and Effortless Style with Stitch FixBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:For up to 65% off your order, head to https://veracityhealth.co and use code BRAINCANDYThis episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Michelle has a light cold, but this doesn't this episode from KICKING OFF with one of our favorite co-hosts, comedian and New Jersey native Molly Mulshine! There is so much to unpack: Louis CK is headlining the Netflix Is A Joke festival, leading Molly to make an admission we really wish weren't the case. The ladies dip a toe into Ladies of London, specifically Missé's mole, which has it's own circulatory system and heartbeat, and wonder if it's not just a hair too performative. And would it even be a podcast if Summer House weren't mentioned? Ciara is busy parlaying her red carpet hostery into viral moments, while Molly & Mich agree that Amanda has NEVER been that girl and you've all somehow been duped. This and so much more, including the role of dogs in bars.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week Erik and Aidan recap three different ATP 250 tournaments which occurred over this past week. In Houston, Tommy Paul was able to capture the title 10 years after having won his first ATP match in the same tournament. In Marrakech, teenage Spaniard Rafael Jodar was able to place himself in an elite group of Spanish players by collecting the title here, while in Bucharest it was Navone that rose to the occasion. Now in Monte Carlo, the tournament is already underway. Based on the opening rounds, it seems that Sinner and Alcaraz are already on a collision course in their return to clay. Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider (0:39) joins Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker to discuss why the end of the 2025 World Series won't define the team's 2026 season, how he's evolved as a manager, Addison Barger's confidence, Andrés Giménez finding his swing and transitioning into an everyday shortstop, if the 9th inning will be Jeff Hoffman's, Brendon Little's outlook and the challenge for Kazuma Okamoto playing third base in MLB. Then, Blue Jays TV analyst Joe Siddall (22:45) gives his thoughts on the opening-day batting order, who could be a long-term solution batting in the 2-hole, Barger's ceiling, the top left-handed option out of the bullpen, Okamoto's impressions, and whether Giménez has found his offence. March is here and I couldn't be more excited about what we have in store for you this month. This month is Women's History Month, and we're celebrating with a special series featuring conversations with some of the most extraordinary women I know. CEOs, founders, executives—women who have reached the top of their fields and are still evolving. These aren't strangers. These are my friends, colleagues and mentors. Women I've met along the way, broken bread, had a glass of wine with, laughed with, cried with. Women who have walked through fire and came out the other side with a story worth telling. You're going to hear it all. The highs. The lows. The wins that looked easy from the outside but weren't. The failures they don't usually talk about. The moments they wanted to quit. The seasons where nothing made sense. And how they found their way back to themselves. But here's the thing. These women have built empires, led boardrooms, and broken barriers. And life still happened. Divorce happened. Loss happened. Health scares happened. Kids who needed them happened. Aging parents happened. Marriages that needed saving happened. Starting over at 50 happened. We're going to talk about all of it. How they led while their world was falling apart. How they showed up when everything told them to stay down. How they rebuilt after being pushed out. How they found themselves again after years of being everything to everyone else. And how they came back stronger, clearer, and more themselves than ever. These conversations are raw and honest and full of information ChatGPT will not solve! But before we get to them, I want to start with you. What are YOU waiting for?As you listen this month, pay attention to what resonates. What challenges you. What sparks something in you.Because your next chapter is waiting. And you're closer than you think.Let's do this.# HappyReinventingwww.TheReinventionExchange.com
Mike & Tommy tackle the challenge of kicking off Fabric with a clean slate, exploring how to prevent model fragmentation and build a culture of shared semantic models from day one. They discuss whether to rebuild from scratch or incrementally consolidate, why teams resist reusability, and how to establish governance that encourages collaboration without becoming a bottleneck. The episode delivers practical strategies for defining core business entities, creating a semantic model catalog, and building the organizational discipline needed to maintain a true single source of truth.Starting out with Power BI, our company's reporting team has been using import mode exclusively and we have not been reusing models very commonly. There is a lot of redundant data storage and I'm sure there are many conflicting DAX definitions and model relationships. I've started learning about Fabric and I'm realizing we will need to rebuild some semantic models from the ground up.Thing is, I'm not sure our team will have the patience to do things right. I suspect they will dive in and start creating more redundancies and our work will continue to be fragmented. How can I kick things off on the right foot and influence the team culture to work together with a single source of truth rather than individual sources?Get in touch:Send in your questions or topics you want us to discuss by tweeting to @PowerBITips with the hashtag #empMailbag or submit on the PowerBI.tips Podcast Page.Visit PowerBI.tips: https://powerbi.tips/Watch the episodes live every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 730am CST on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/powerbitipsSubscribe on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/230fp78XmHHRXTiYICRLVvSubscribe on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/explicit-measures-podcast/id1568944083Check Out Community Jam: https://jam.powerbi.tipsFollow Mike: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelcarlo/Follow Tommy: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tommypuglia/
