Jason Peercy, co-designer of The Real Thing RPG, joined me to talk about the expansions he is crowdfunding titled Angel Dust and King For a Day. You might remember The Real Thing RPG as the Faith No More inspired RPG. Jason and his co-designer Jason took the themes and stories they heard in Faith No More's The Real Thing album and created an RPG system out of it. Well, they are back at it again expanding the world they created through 2 new books. We discussed the reaction to the game, working with a band as an IP holder, and more. It's Pat's birthday so we're breaking decade and going DEEP into a song that has totally overtaken his life, King For a Day by Pierce the Veil. This is a band that, honestly, neither of us have ever listened to before YouTube shoved this thing down our throats for months, but who are we to question the algorithm? it always knows best. This banger from 2012 has become a staple on emo Twitter/meme culture, largely due to its absolutely incredible music video of some scrappy young bank tellers who make a grown man piss his pants because they had to come into work on a Saturday. it's just… the best. Hail Mary, forgive me… BONUS EPISODES AND PHOTOS ON PATREON! Quarter 2 of 2001! More than a couple tracks didn't hold up that great, but we got another Bob Dylan uber classic, and my favorite song of the year by a band whom I have a complicated relationship with. And some cheap shot poop jokes. You'll know when you hear it. Song list: "I Did It" by Dave Matthews Band, "Cruisin'" by Michael Nesmith, "Tangled Up in Blue" by Bob Dylan, "Happy Hour" by the Housemartins, "King For a Day"/"Haushinka" by Green Day, "My Back Pages" by the Bob Dylan All Stars, "I've Got a Rock'n'Roll Heart" by Eric Clapton, "Hash Pipe" by Weezer, "Out of Time" by the Rolling Stones, and "Tight Connection to my Heart" by Bob Dylan. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/musicismyradar/support

Un album chouchou des fans, même si je préfère l'album suivant "King For a day, fool for a livetime". Le reste est dans l'épisode. Returning to normaility, this week David explains his disgust at a marketing campaign where although living in Scotland we get £10 off a television for every goal England scores. David survives the Slayer concert and tells his story full of craziness and insanity to Liam, including Funny Graffiti, Fan trying to break in to Slayer's bus, using Alcohol to lure the Extreme Metal band from their coach, epic flyers and flyer burning, getting headered, walking topless and touching McDonalds cups together with a randomer. Bizzare conversation continues as David & Liam discuss weird arabic music being played loudly at a Stations of The Cross event at school and a friend saying he would make a good wife. They laugh at a DVD portraying priests as superheroes, mourn the deaths of the late Gary Coleman and Dennis Hopper and find Elvis at Obama's inauguration. Daivd & Liam tell the story of when the went to a Domestic Violence talk, this is another fun one, including "where in the world is kilmardinny", Liam put in charge if David has a heart attack, white ribbons, men sterotypes, the cool way to smoke a cigarette and the reason for this episode title. The usual lunacy on this weeks We Killed The Radio Star Podcast! Thanks http://music.mevio.com for providing music for the podcast. John 6:22-71 “Jesus is More than a King” For our Bible Study, at Calvary Fellowship Ottawa, Pastor Andy Falleur read to us from John 6:22-71. We have embarked on the conversation that Jesus has with the crowd of people that were part of the feeding of the five thousand earlier in the chapter. They eventually caught up with Jesus, and in the conversation that follows it's obvious that what they want and what Jesus wants to give them are two very different things. Jesus makes several jarring statements about himself, about them, and about the Father. He's methodically bringing them through the scope of the actual problem and the genius of the solution. There's so much in there for us. We read the whole passage, but stopped at verse 36. We will pick up in verse 37 next time. ----- #Bible Study, #Bible, #Study, #Calvary Chapel, #Calvary Ottawa, #Calvary chapel Ottawa, #Calvary bible Study, #Calvary Chapel Bible Study, #Calvary Chapel study, #Andy Falleur, #Gospel of John Bible Study, #John's Gospel, #John 6 Bible Study, #John 6 bible Study, #St. John 6 Bible Study, #John the beloved, #gospel of john chapter 6, #John 6, #meaning of loaves, #is jesus god, #is jesus divine, #is jesus equal to God, #is jesus the messiah, #jesus claims to be god, #jesus is the messiah, #did jesus call himself god, #did jesus claim to be god, #did jesus claim divinity, #does jesus claim to be god, #jesus never claimed to be god, #jesus never claimed divinity, #the divinity of Jesus Christ, #did jesus know he was god, #did jesus believe he was god, #bread of life, #the work of god is to believe, #the works god requires, #evidence to believe in me,
