Massive week in golf as always, so much to talk about. We kick off the show, unfortunately, by Mark singing happy birthday to the Shark. After a few years of the men's and women's Australian Opens running concurrently, Golf Australia has made the decision to revert back to separate tournaments for the first time since 2021.The concurrent tournament came under heavy criticism from Australian major winners Cameron Smith and Hannah Green with issues around scheduling and course conditions proving to be a bugbear for the golfers. Asian Tour pro Marcus Fraser told Quentin Hull the change back to the old format will be welcomed by his peers.

Marcus Fraser won the Yallourn tournament after surviving a major scare in the second round of match play on Sunday, edging Alessandro Noseda by a stroke on the six-hole final. He had moved past Andrew Martin on the 17th hole to claim his first win of note since 2016.

Brendon Goddard tees off in the Gippsland Super 6 Tournament today alongside Geoff Oglivy, Marcus Fraser and others. The field will be reduced to 24 across three rounds of qualifying, with those remaining to play six holes to decide a champion on the fourth day. There is $125,000 up for grabs.
