    On the show this week we look back at Justin Thomas' first Major as he won The 99th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club. The course was a stern test of golf with thick rough, hard and lightning fast greens and 7600 yards of length. The tournament took time to warm up before some fireworks and excitement on Sunday. We also talk about the failures of the broadcast strategy and possible improvements. Tiger announced his intent to return to competitive golf in October. Rory switched putters back to a Scotty Cameron and took on a new putting coach. The European Team filled up its roster with Darren's three picks. Davis made his first three of four picks for The USA. Jason Day joined Nike for clothing. Peter spoke to us about The Open, tips and advice for amateurs on various aspects of their games, changes to the game of golf, broadcasting and technology and a look forward to The Ryder Cup.     On the show this week, we leave our usual format aside to do a special combined podcast with Chris Solomon on No Laying Up, who recently visited for his first Irish Golf Trip, playing four magnificent courses in a whirlwind 48 hours. Barry and Chris talk in detail about the four courses and how each is special in their own unique way. We alternated play between two links and two parkland courses: The Island Golf Club (which hosts an Open Championship Qualifier every year), The K Club Palmer Course (host of the 2006 Ryder Cup and the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open), Portmarnock (host of more Irish Opens and Championships than there is space to list) and Killeen Castle (host of the 2011 Solheim Cup). It was a spectacular weekend playing some of the best golf courses that the east coast and Ireland have to offer from its wealth of golfing riches - One that will never be forgotten.     On the show this week, we look back on our amazing Pro Am weekend at the magnificent Carne Golf Links in the extreme west of Ireland in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. We talk about Rory's withdrawal from the Olympics due to Zika Virus concerns and how it might cause a domino effect for other big names to withdraw. And then to the big one - The 116th US Open. Dustin Johnson was the winner in sensational fashion, simply bludgeoning the course to death with his missile tee shots. Our own Shane Lowry came agonisingly close but couldn't find the right performance in the final round.
