Add the steak and sear both sides (brown both sides) for 2-3 minutes until medium rare or cook longer until your desired doneness.3. Place steaks to rest on a plate and cover with foil. 4.  In a skillet melt the butter over low heat then add the garlic. Cook swirling or using a spatula to move the butter and garlic around until lightly golden. Don't over cook this shit. it's butter and garlic not meth.5. Pour the garlic butter into a bowl and salt to taste. Slice the steak against the grain. Garnish with parsley and then spoon or pour the garlic butter over the steak. Serve immediately. NOTESCook Tips  Steak Cut the steak into 3 equal parts cook each side for about 4 mins. Do not move the steaks around as they cook. Leave those motherfuckers alone to sear for fucks sake.  Garlicuse 6 tsp of finely minced garlic. Cutting the steakMake sure you cut against the grain of the steak. If not, your steak may be tough. Cutting against the grain will make it nice and tender.

NYCFC Nation Podcast | New York City FC | NYC Football Club | MLS | Soccer | Futbol

In today's episode we discuss a wide range of New York City FC, league and world news. We start off by paying our respects to Associação Chapecoense de Futebol and everyone who was on Flight 2933. We send our condolences to all involved in this tragic event. With regards to NYCFC news we begin on the new contracts that were recently given to Mikey Lopez and Ethan White plus a full transfer of Shannon Gomez. We also have players who have not resigned with the team in Connor Brandt, Jason Hernandez, Diego Martinez and Tony Taylor. Could any of these players be resigned "on the cheap" by NYC? Let's also not forget Federico Bravo and Stiven Mendoza whose loans have expired and not renewed. Next on the lineup is the match up between Toronto FC and Montreal Impact. The game was taking place during the recording and we learned that Toronto will move on to the final facing the Seattle Saunders FC. Does Toronto FC have enough to finish off Seattle to give NYCFC a spot in the CONCACAF Champions League? There has been reports circulating that Hamburger SV and Borussia Dortmund are interested in Ronald Matarrita. Is this good news? Can NYC afford to lose him? If Matarrita does leave is he replaceable? Chris P created an amazing article discussing possible new players that could join NYCFC in the new season. We each discuss one player on that list we feel could be an important part of the team move forward. If you haven't seen that article, you can read it here [Scouting NYCFC's Next DP Signing]. Wrapping up the show we discuss the recent issues New York Cosmos LLC are having with managing their front office and club, Adrian Heath signed as Minnesota United FC's head coach, Sporting Kansas City extends Peter Vermes, Bruce Arena with the United States Mens Nations Team and finally Don Garber has a town hall meeting in Cincinnati.   Enjoy Don't forget to give us a 5 star rating and review to help other New York City FC fans find the podcast.   Today's episode Chris P @NYCFCFan and Chris M @_ChrisFC who we all know as Perpetual Student on the NYCFC sub-reddits joins the show to discuss the historic first playoff match New York City FC had against Toronto FC. After the 2-0 loss many questions popped up in regards to Patrick Vieira's decision before and during the match. These questions all start off with Patrick's starting 11 lineup choice. We provide our input as to why Patrick started Mikey Lopez, Federico Bravo, Eirik Johansen and how all three fared. During one portion of the game David Villa is seen in mid-air kicking a Toronto FC players back. The ref did not call a foul but upon review the MLS still did not suspend Villa for that incident. Why not? Where there's smoke there fire....but did a only-players meeting really take place between New York City FC even after many players themselves said it never happened? Chris P also goes in depth about his experience at the press box section in BMO Field and the poor food options there. Leg 2 against Toronto FC is Sunday at 6:30pm. It's a big day for New York City FC as it's the first home playoff match and the first ever playoff match played in New York for an MLS team! Can NYCFC make it to the next round? How will public transportation be with the New York City Marathon taking place the same day? Another topic on our miscellaneous bucket is the #suppportyourcity movement you see all across social media. It's great promotion and a good step to creating a better relationship with political figures and the men and women who service our City. Especially when we need to find a place to build a stadium. We wrap up the show mentioning the National call ups Ronald Matarrita and Tony Taylor both have for their respective countries. Jack Harrison being protected from the expansion draft due to his graduation from Generation Adidas and the yearly honors the MLS gives away in which Villa, Frank Lampard and Harrison have been nominated. Oh and we play Trick or Treat with a couple of questions. That tackle. It’s the talk of MLS on Monday, and the guys give their takes on the Nigel de Jong challenge that forced Portland Timbers and US national team star Darlington Nagbe to leave the StubHub Center pitch in a wheelchair. Then they break down the rest of another wild MLS weekend. Philly are for real, but should their game-winner have counted? Why are last year’s powers (Red Bulls, Crew SC, ‘Caps and Sounders) reduced to also-ran status? Is the TomThom hype train finally rolling along? It’s all here.   Then, in the second segment, the Fire’s Arturo Alvarez and Johan Kappelhof sit down in studio to explain why each of them ended up in Chicago, give their thoughts on the De Jong tackle, look forward to a matchup with Didier Drogba and give Andrew a scheduling lesson. Oh, and why were Khiry Shelton and Mikey Lopez suspended by Patrick Vieira?
