What a week of drama on and off the pitch! Alexi Lalas and David Mosse begin with a wild weekend in MLS. Austin FC came back from a 3-1 deficit in style, Brandon Vasquez continued his hot streak, and Seattle dropped below the playoff line. Will Toronto make a run at the playoffs behind an Italian resurgence? In the EPL, Spurs and Chelsea battled on and off the field. Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel were both issued red cards after the final whistle for a dust-up. Who would win in a real fight? Meanwhile, all is not well at Manchester United. Should they bring in American Weston McKennie? We also dive into drama at PSG and debut weekends for Serie A and La Liga. In our #AskAlexi segment, we cover our all-time USMNT five-a-side, Darlington Nagbe in the EPL, and more. Make sure to follow us on social @SOTUWithAlexi to submit questions. The Black and Gold train rolls through Columbus, Ohio on our way to 8 matches in the month of May. Some called it a trap game. Some were concerned about our injuries, or our lack of depth. Some lamented the impacted schedule. And some who were there to see it likely doubted it would even happen in the first place. But the path to greatness is often littered with tiny but important steps, and LAFC took many in Ohio on the way to three points and our 8th win of the season. The Black and Gold dispatch the Black and Yellow, 2-0, after a lengthy lightning delay and a restart. On this episode we are joined by Jonathan Reimer, one-third of the Shoulder to Shoulder team. As part of a fundraiser to raise money for the Mauricio “Mo” Fascio Futsal Court in SELA, Jonathan is here to educate us on the three incredible expressions of tequila that are being sold as part of the fundraising effort. Check out flaskfinewines.com, or hit up Jonathan directly at @boozeology on the socials for more info!Columbus controlled much of the first half (and the game, for that matter), but several quality attempts were thwarted by The Wall, Maxime Crepeau. LAFC had a quality opportunity as well, but the Mamadou Fall header fell right to Eloy Room. The first half ended nil-nil. Coming off the bench at half, putting on their capes and tights, were Carlos Vela and Brian Rodriguez. After also inserting Cifu at the hour mark, all the major players were set for LAFC to get to doing what they do best, score. Because of the incredible pressure applied by Chicho Arango, Darlington Nagbe and the Crew coughed up the ball not once, but twice, leading to both Carlos Vela and Jose Cifuentes finding the back of the soggy net for LAFC. LAFC steals three points on the road and takes down the Crew, 2-0. Also on this episode, you're going to learn an awful lot about tequila. Jonathan really knows his craft, and it's definitely a fun learning process. We lament missing the match live while Scarf has trouble with the calendar and Filly's ADHD is in full effect. This one is a bit of a longer episode, but like the match in Columbus, we hope you'll agree, it's worth the wait! Enjoy Episode 195!
On #MLSAfterDark, Andrew Wiebe, Charlie Davies, and Susannah Collins discuss the action from the weekend's games around Major League Soccer. Susannah explains the atmosphere for the historic opening of GEODIS Park and the draw between Nashville SC and the Philadelphia Union. Then Andrew and Charlie break down the rest of the headlines, including Keaton Parks stepping up for NYCFC, Damian Rivera's debut goal, Kamal Miller and Montreal rolling, Darlington Nagbe's golazo, and more!
The Columbus Crew survive a late goal by the New York Redbulls and salvage a point on the road on a last gasp goal by Darlington Nagbe. Brian, Drew, Murph, and Sam break down the game, and debate about the Zardes vs Berry start decisions by Porter. The team looks at how does the Haslems owned Cleveland Browns decision to sign Deshawn Watson impacts the Crew, and how will Berhalter play the next three games in world cup qualifying

We here at Nos Audietis take a fair amount of pride in a measured, reasonable approach. We know that one game does not a season make and that one performance does not define a player or team. We're well aware of the importance of sample-size, which is a recurring talking point in this week's show. That said, it's hard not to be encouraged by the Sounders' 3-0 takedown of the LA Galaxy, a team that might not be what it once was but one that still has the kind of talent that should keep it from being embarrassed like that at home. Once again, FourFourTwo's Richard Farley joins us to help sort through the mess. We also talk about the Seattle Reign's 5-1 win over the Houston Dynamo, Leo Messi, Darlington Nagbe and everyone's favorite MLS owner-coach combination. This week's music: "Star Blazers Theme", Perry Como - "Seattle", Hounds of the Wild Hunt - “Ragged All Week”, Woody Guthrie - "Roll On Columbia" Thanks to James Woollard, Sounders Public Address Announcer, for doing our sponsor reads.
