Wait, who's that running across the moonlit beach? It's Camp Counselor Dom Moschitti who rejoins Chad Quandt, Paul Ritchey, and Kevin Cole to check out the infamous 90s TV procedural Baywatch Nights. In this spinoff of the phenomenon Baywatch, David Hasslehoff's Mitch Buchannon moonlights as a Californian P.I., dealing with paranormal problems. In this episode, the blood of a serial killer infects multiple people with the desires of sex and death. It's really a wild trip and we have a blast closing this case with Dom. The nights will never be the same! Christmas today is disgusting! We used to be able to look in department store windows and make pudding together as a nuclear family, but no longer. How can we take charge of the Christmas spirit in our own lives? There is a man with many, many theories about this and his name is Pastor Greg Robbins. His 2009 DVD Christmas Unwrapped uses documentary, dramatizations, interviews, and stock footage to fully deconstruct the true meaning of Christmas, and to provide an overload of ideas and solutions to “simplify” the holiday, which usually involve spending hundreds of dollars on various supplies. But can you put a price on making memories that last a lifetime? Our longtime friend and regular guest Dom Moschitti, the creator behind Paperback Paradise, actually found this DVD while digging through a Salvation Army, so he kindly takes us through the important information Pastor Greg has to share with the world. This biopic of legendary professional wrestler Sting, real name Steve Borden, tells the story of his career from the very beginning up until his fateful come-to-Jesus moment that transformed him into a born-again Christian. Sting has since acted in several Christian movies, including a Boys' Bible Study personal favorite The Encounter (2010) that was a subject of one of our earlier episodes, and we as a podcast regard as one of the best Christian films ever made. Two of our dear friends who are wrestling experts join us for this discussion: Dom Moschitti, the creator behind Paperback Paradise and Blank Tapes Pod, and Sean Muscles, illustrator and comics artist who drew the Boys' Bible Study official show art. We cover Sting's life story as well as several instances of Christianity as an artistic motif in the mythology of professional wrestling. Dom is BACK to promote his new podcast BLANK TAPES and chat with us about another Jehovah's Witness film and his life growing up as a JW. BLANK TAPES (@blanktapespod) is a show where Dom and Scott find a mysterious blank tape each episode and take you on its surprising journey.
