After voicing his focused excitement about a forthcoming child and how it has impacted his short term view of his job, Andrew tries Hot Honey flavored Pringles. Ben talks about the many games he has been playing as of late, but also drops a few hints about the Pringles roadmap he has devised for Andrew. Then the hosts move on to the word at hand. Ben has lots of questions about Andrew's comedy writing process before the conversation shifts to ridiculous video game premises, followed by Ben's gameplay experiences with Squanch Games' “High on Life.” Other tangential digressions visited include: “Kung Fury,” favorite Canadian comedy troupe “Kids in the Hall” skits, 80s and 90s contemporary authors, the creative process, “Rick and Morty” drama, Nicolas Cage movies, and much more! Tread Perilously's werewolf month is the perfect excuse to crack open the Baywatch Nights DVD box set for an episode called "Zargtha." When Mitch and Ryan discover a dead body on the beach, they become involved in a curious case of a werewolf-like creature who immigrated from the former Yugoslavia. Unfortunately for the Southern California beaches, it also needs to hunt and kill teenage runaways. Will Mitch turn out to be the best werewolf hunter in town? Will Ryan learn the truth of the Zargtha before it's too late? Will Teague's exposition make any sense? And will the youth shelter director make out with Mitch? Justin learns why they call it Baywatch Nights. He and Erik discuss the problem of a Baywatch spinoff starring David Hasselhoff while he's still starring on Baywatch. Pamela Anderson invades the discussion. The structure of Nights also has its effects on Erik and Justin. Angie Harmon's performance in this episode gets reviewed. Conversations about Ahsoka and The X-Files occur. A theory emerges about My So-Called Life's never-seen Tino. Erik discusses episode writer Maurice Hurley's Star Trek connection. Justin enumerates various other failed shows that succeed better than Baywatch Nights and the migrant werewolf crisis becomes a hot-button issue.
Hoff has already fought multiple myth monsters and is shocked to come across a vampire.

Welcome back to After The Sun Goes Down, our Baywatch Nights watch-a-long podcast. This week Mitch and the gang provide us with some Payback and Pack up in episodes 13 and 14 of Season 1. In episode 13, Ryan gets wasted, we still have no idea who the hell Griff is, and we get some wonderful guest casting by none of other than Geraldo Rivera. And in episode 14, we finally get a true crossover with actual characters from Baywatch, other than Mitch & Garner, when Eddie Kramer and Michael Newman are involved in the suspicious death of a drowning victim…oh and randomly Lou is back for no real reason. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bmoviebreakdown/support
This week on After The Sun Goes Down, our Baywatch Nights watch-a-long, things are truly shaken up in what feels almost like a brand new season shoved into Season 1. The show itself took a 3 month break and came back with a new title sequence (kept the theme) with new characters in it and seemingly gave the boot to yet another show staple, this time Lou Rawls. Now That Lou is out, new owner Donna Marco shows up in episode 11, aptly titled The Takeover; in which Mitch and the gang investigate the truly hostile takeover of a major corporation. Then in episode 12, Thin Blood, we meet Ryan's sister Charlie and some of her friends in the New York mafia in what ends up being a traumatic episode for Mitch. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bmoviebreakdown/support
On the season finale of TV Terrors, we're re-hassling the Hoff and talking about another sterling episode of BAYWATCH NIGHTS with writer Nathan Rabin (Weird Al: The Book and The Joy of Trash: Flaming Garbage Fire Extended Edition)!! This time, Mitch is up against humanity's greatest threat: Unfrozen Viking Warriors!! It's the penultimate episode of Hot Red Shorts! - A Gay Watch of Baywatch, and luckily both CJ and Cody are along for the ride! Cody highlights an unseen part of his character, getting to show off his engineering skills! Good looks, a great body, and he can work with his hands? He really is the full package! It'll take some bold, blonde ingenuity to get Jess into the water! Caroline is busy stumping for a position at Baywatch Nights, that hot new detective agency that Mitch has started. Tune in and drop dead! That's right, we're flipping the channel on our off-week shows and programming a block of the weirdest TV TERRORS we can find. This week, run in slow motion with us as an attempt to rescue the Baywatch Nights episode “Space Spore!” This was season 2 of Baywatch Nights when they switched from a sexy detective show to a not-too-sexy X-Files rip-off. Along the way, we talk about Lou Rawls again, evaluate paranormal midriffs, consider the very valid science of decapitated rat paw collections, debate improv-based detective work, and one of the worst line readings ever recorded. All this plus Day-Glo juice burps, revelatory phone calls, and the single worst escape attempt of all time! Your nights will never be the same after this episode!!Our TeePublic shop for killer merch is right here: https://www.teepublic.com/stores/kill-by-kill-podcast?utm_campaign=18042&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=Kill%2BBy%2BKill%2Bpodcast%2BHave something to say? Baywatch Nights is a masterpiece of a time capsule that was the nineteen hundred and nineties, and I will hear no slights against it! Seriously, the mysterious nature of this how has catapulted this two season show into meme cult status, but we wanted to understand how this show got made and who it was for. In watching it (all shows up on YouTube) we learned so much about the time period, television, and discovered there was actually some good stuff too. Also, season 2 was a cocaine fueled nightmare that had aliens and the Hoff punches a mummy. When the sun goes down, baby!
