If the Paul brothers really want to make the move to MMA, "Big Tuna" would be happy to welcome either one of them. Ben Parrish (12:33) returns to We Got Next to preview his light heavyweight matchup with Sullivan Cauley at Bellator 273 on Jan. 29, discusses making his second promotional appearance at the reaction from MMA fans following his memorable Bellator debut in September, feeling like win, lose, or draw, Bellator will sign him to an exclusive deal, how he sees the fight playing out, his thoughts on Jake Paul's KO win over Tyron Woodley and why he believes there may be some tomfoolery involved, being very much open to fights with the undefeated boxer, or his brother Logan Paul in MMA or boxing, and more. Finally, UFC flyweight Jasmine Jasudavicius (32:07) discusses her upcoming octagon debut against Kay Hansen at UFC 270 next Saturday in Anaheim, being on enemy territory — which is something that is not new to her at all as a professional fighter — thoughts on the matchup with Hansen, horrible advice she received from a fan on social media, getting the chance to train with Brandon Moreno, and why Valentina Shevchenko would be her No. 1 choice to train with. This week on Flashpoint, it's all about real estate in the Queen City, and we're looking at all sorts of angles. Up first: Ben Thompson chats with David Kennedy about the housing boom Charlotte is seeing right now. Kennedy is the president of the Canopy Realtor Association, and he says that there's a lot to like about an active market, but notes there still needs to be work done to ensure housing discrimination is tackled properly. Next: Ben chats with Colette Forrest, a community activist here in Charlotte. She has concerns about how the active housing market is affecting historically Black neighborhoods. A key issue she says Black homeowners have to deal with are rising property taxes, which is especially an issue for newer homeowners who may have inherited a home from a relative who may look to sell along with elderly homeowners who could fall behind on those taxes. Speaking of older homeowners, WCNC Charlotte is highlighting For The Struggle, a local nonprofit that's aiming to help those elderly homeowners in historically Black neighborhoods, specifically with a variety of programs for them. Bill McGinty details the work they're doing and how you can help. All of that and more, this week on Flashpoint and online: https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/politics/flashpoint/charlotte-north-carolina-housing-market-boom/275-0d39178a-cf1e-488f-b212-007a2817c3b1

The Ultra-Low-Cost-Carrier model has exploded worldwide. After doing exceedingly well during two previous downturns, 9/11 and the 2008 recession, these carriers are once again gearing up for rapid expansion as we emerge from COVID-19. Frontier is the first passenger carrier to announce hiring during the COVID crisis. Spirit is rumored to start up interviews again soon. Despite this impressive feat, the arrogant attitude towards the ULCC's has continued amongst some pilots even after they've seen explosive growth and contractual gains. We sat down with former Spirit CEO Ben Baldanza to make sense of it all. We talk about winners and losers. Is Delta delusional to think they can be cash neutral in Q2? We discuss timelines for bankruptcies and possible mergers. We learn what's next from a true expert and industry insider who has served as a high-level leader within pretty much every major airline. Listen to this fascinating interview with JetBlue Board Member and Former Spirit CEO Ben Baldanza and Raven's own ULCC Pilot, Jason DuVernay. Ben Stuart, pastor of Passion City Church in Washington DC paints some stunning pictures to inspire us to pass the faith on to the next generation. First, Ben shares about hitting the wall in a marathon in college. He wanted to quit but then he thought of his bible study leader Chris who had completed a marathon the year before in an icy rainstorm. That image helped Ben sprint through the finish line shouting “I want to be like Chris!” We need to inspire the next generation to run the marathon of life well by showing them how to do it. Next in 2008 Starbucks was in a freefall, closing at least hundreds of stores. They shut everything down and retrained their young workers. That move turned Starbucks around. And this is the hope of the church: Inspiring and training the generation behind us in the truths of the gospel. Then in the reboot of Star Wars, Batman, and in the film Kingdom of Heaven, Liam Neeson was the old wise mentor. Hollywood gets what we sometimes miss: Timothys are desperate for the training of Pauls! Next Ben remembers pastor Thomas Nelson saying that he wanted 20 year old pall bearers at his funeral with tears running down their faces because he poured his life into them. Then in early America William Tennant was a boring preacher with very few gifts. But one thing knew was how to be faithful. He trained young men in a log cabin school who caught the fire of the Holy Spirit and went on to spread the gospel throughout the land. And finally imagine worshipping Jesus in the age to come with a group of younger people that you helped run their race well. It’s what we can look forward to as we empower those who are coming up behind us!

First broadcast on Radio 4 as a five part series, evolutionary biologist Ben Garrod follows a trail of five clues, beginning with a bone or skeleton and leading to a series of fascinating revelations. Brought together into one single episode, Ben first explores the link between an 18th century skeleton in the Hunterian Museum and Brendan Holland from County Tyrone, before turning his attention to a storm, a Norfolk beach and the unearthed bones of the oldest mammoth found in the UK. Next Ben reveals how studies of the skeletons of the Long Bow Archers who sank with the Mary Rose in 1545 could help medical science, before heading through time to reveal how the skeletal remains of the Dodo may hold the key to life beyond the grave. Finally Ben discovers how the jaws of a man-eating tiger are vital evidence in understanding the role of predation on human evolutionary behaviour.
It is the final Friday in the month and it is time for Ben and Josh recap all the great guests from July. Josh and Ben start the show discussing Jon Schumacher. It was Ben's impression that despite the popularity and success that Jon has with his video podcast, Jon felt like he wasn't good at it. Seems that was all in Ben's head as Josh didn't get that impression at all. Ben then realizes that maybe he is projecting on Jon his own feelings about this show and the success it has and the guests that come on. Ben and Josh then jump into their favorite value bomb from the show. Next Ben and Josh discuss Mark Sumpter and really enjoyed the conversation with him. Based on some of the stories that Mark shared, it is very important to value your time. Make sure you enjoy what you are doing, or that you are getting paid for what you are doing (and if you're really good, get paid for what you enjoy doing). Then Josh and Ben discussed their interview with Shawn Manaher. This episode was even more fun for Ben to listen to and edit as he wasn't even on the show. Ben had a short notice work trip and couldn't co-host, and thankfully previous guest Shannon Hernandez joined Josh on the show to co-host. Ben really enjoyed Shannon and Shawn discussing their thoughts on working out. After that Ben and Josh talked about Zach Obront's interview. This show was also co-hosted by Shannon Hernandez in Ben's absence. Josh shares what one of Zach's value bombs means to him and how important it is to pivot. Things change and it is always important to see those changes and adjust your game plan to compensate for those changes while continuing to move forward and progress. Finally Josh and Ben recapped their interview this week with Ryan Levesque. Ryan was a great guest and had a great story to tell with his experience in the business world. Ben and Josh were also very grateful for the gift Ryan is giving to Utopians. He is giving away a copy of his book! Just go to AskFormula.com and use the code Utopia to get the book for free and just pay shipping! Let's make sure that we take him up on that offer and clear out all the books he set aside for us! As a special treat, Josh brought on his son Benji! Ben spent a few minutes talking with Benji about his perfect day, and possibly setting Josh up to make that happen. As always, a special thank you to The Strand for our intro and outro music!
