When we invite congregations to engage in personal evangelistic ministry, we must teach principles that transcend years and contexts yet appear fresh and relevant. Here are three principles to apply to your personal evangelistic ministry.
So many people sign up for a religion or a church community because of what they believe it will do for them. To be sure, there's plenty that it will bring to an individual's life, but when it comes to following Jesus it becomes more about what we can do for others. Even when we don't think we have a whole lot to offer, the little we do can be used for something amazing...something that will change us forever.
An expository sermon from Colossians 2:1-3 on the Benefits and Blessings of face to face ministry.
Can we—busy shepherds—really pray without ceasing? When, where, and how should we pray?

Why Have a Personal Ministry? | Ephesians 2:8-10
Christianity is a personal decision but not private. God had made life to be done in a community of His people. It is in the community that we grow spiritually because God uses the church to refine us in different ways. Two ways are Personal Ministry and Providential Relationships.

Personal Ministry An individual will never be fully prepared before they begin doing any ministry. The good news is all of Christ's disciples had on-the-job training for their ministry. The lesson we need to learn from them is that God is with you and training you as you move out to minister to others. This […] The post 5 Ps – Personal Ministry appeared first on Navigation Church.

You see, in the spiritual realm, success or failure is not primarily measured by results! It's measured by obeying what God tells you to do! When we obey God in what He tells us to do, it's a success, whatever the results might be! When we obey God in the power of the Holy Spirit, it is a success whatever the results might be because God is the one who produces results! By Micah Johnson — Luk 17:11-19 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Pastor Shirk gleans 5 ways in which Peter's ministry to individuals became so effective.
Ministry is to us, before it's through us. Until we know how to receive it from the Lord, we're not going to be able to let it flow through us to other people. As we pause and slow down to think about how Jesus moves towards people, what He asks, what He says, we start to learn how to share the same type of ministry care with others. This season of Conversational Counseling is all about equipping you with frameworks to be able to minister more fully to those around you in your everyday life. In this episode, we delve into God's plan to bring peace to the chaos of the world one life at a time and how He invites us to partner with Him. In all the intricacy and complexity, we want to pause and slow down to move towards people. For free visuals and discussion questions for Conversational Counseling, sign up at knownministries.org. Our theme music is by As Isaac. This podcast is made possible by engineers and producers Zachary Tate Smith and Shane Selby, executive producer Meleah Smith, and generous donors. Known Ministries is Alex Kocher and Brenda Payne. This third season of Conversational Counseling is called "Key elements of personal ministry.”

Matthew 3:13-17 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. 14 John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” 15 But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. 16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 4:1-11 4 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,' and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'” 7 Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'” 11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

Have you ever become exhausted from decision-making in ministry? Many pastors feel the need to be a generalist in too many ways and forget that taking a call to ministry is deeply personal and wrapped up in the uniqueness of their personal creation by God. In this episode of Productive Pastor, I get a little Bible nerdy and go into how I have become fascinated with understanding good, bad, and radically normal decision-making in the Bible. And I share how that creates a story to understand the necessity of personal ministry vision. I go through the who, what, and how of crafting our own personal understandings of ministry and how that helps us navigate the decision-making matrix we call real life ministry.
