Western ep 14 "Randall Blythe" by Tärningen är Kastad
In this episode Mark, Michael, and Kegan speak with D. Randall Blythe. He is best known as the vocalist for the American metal band, Lamb of God, and sometimes he “sings the fast stuff” for Bad Brains as well. He is an accomplished surfer, a talented (and hard-working) photographer, an ambassador for Leica, and has had gallery shows at Sacred Gallery in New York City, the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, and the Leica Gallery in Boston. Randy’s book, Dark Days describes his arrest, imprisonment, trial and subsequent acquittal, after a fan died during a show in the Czech Republic. He is also the host of a weekly radio show broadcast on Gimme Radio named, “The Power Remains” where he explores a wide range of punk and hardcore music, usually accompanied by an interesting guest.
Metal legend MAX CAVALERA is at it again, this time bringing us a crushing new SOULFLY album "Ritual" on October 19 on Nuclear Blast Records. Max spoke to us on September 6th about the album and how several of the songs came together. Songs like "Ritual", "Soufly XI", and "Dead Behind the Eyes" (which features Lamb of God vocalist Randall Blythe) are monsters and Max dives into each one in our interview. Max, an avid Detroit Lions fan, also gives a bold prediction on how the 2018 Lions will fare this year! Check out a video for the song "Evil Empowered" here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HB7gYzoVUQw Preorders for "Ritual" are here: www.nuclearblast.com/soulfly-ritual www.soulfly.com

D. Randall Blythe has no memory of colliding with a stage diver during a 2010 Prague performance by his band Lamb of God. When the band returned to perform in the Czech Republic two years later, however, police arrested him at the airport and charged him in connection with the fan's death. Blythe joins The Steve Fast Show to discuss his trial for the equivalent of manslaughter and his time waiting for trial in a notorious Czech prison.
