In the newest episode of the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Podcast, hosts Chris Dortch (@cdortch) and Kevin Ingram (@KIngramSports) discuss a variety of college basketball topics:• College coaches swiping plays by setting up behind the opposing team's bench? Sounds a bit far-fetched to us.• You can't blame Northwestern coach Chris Collins for getting a tad grumpy after a, shall way say, free-throw imbalance in another tight game against Purdue.• Boog talks about the best teams he's seen so far this season.• And yeah, we couldn't let Boog get away without some baseball talk with the man who has taken his place alongside legends calling the World Series on radio. All Blue Ribbon college basketball podcasts are available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. You can also listen in your email client or click on the “Listen In Podcast App” link above to listen in your podcast player of choice. Jon “Boog” Sciambi loves Wrigley Field So much so he says this is his last stop as a team play by play man. Of course, Sciambi is better known for his work with ESPN baseball both TV and radio and this season he takes over as the voice of the World Series on radio. Sciambi has been the voice of the Atlanta Braves and Florida Marlins and happened to be part of the broadcast team that fateful night at Wrigley Field in 2003 . It was the “Bartman” game, game 6 of the NLCS when the fan appeared to interfere with a fly ball. It fueled the Marlins to win the series and ultimately the World Series. Boog now loves working regularly at Wrigley Field.“Just that view, the architecture and beyond the ballpark, it feels like you're being transformed back in time. And it feels completely brand new because it's so beautiful and so special.”Sciambi also embraces baseball's new rules to speed up the game although he's had to adjust to it working in a three man booth. He says the trade off of telling fewer stories while calling a game that has lopped an average of some 25 minutes is well worth it.Make sure to hear "Tell Me A Story I Don't Know" as part of the Last Word On Sports Media Podcast feed and follow/subscirbe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, etc.!And stay engaged with the content on www.lastwordonsports.com/podcastsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
