The left wing agenda is crumbling before our eyes. After seizing control in the last election, Democrats promised a lot of things to Americans. Yet, they are failing to deliver. All across the country we are seeing Democrat failures, but especially in Virginia.  In a state that is reliably left-wing, we see that Americans are telling the Democrats they are not interested in what they are selling. So much so that the Democrats are being forced to their typical measures. Bad actors and cheating. The Lincoln Project sent "white nationalists" or Democrat actors, to the Youngkin event in Virginia. This will probably not be the last attempt to sway the election through misleading everyone.  But they know they must win this election. Why? Because a loss in Virginia will continue to keep the Democrats divided, and possibly make it worse. The progressives will say that the left is not being radical enough. The moderates will say the progressives are causing the issue. That's exactly what Conservatives need.  A win in Virginia would send a strong message to the radical left and Joe Biden about his failures. More importantly, it can be a launching point for conservatives to step up and lead once again. Right now, there is more finger pointing than anything. It's time to capitalize on what's happening and step out and lead our nation again.  Music courtesy of Greg Shields Music. http://www.reverbnation.com/GregShields

Last week, City Cast Denver producer Xandra McMahon tagged along on a walking tour of Cap Hill with District 10 councilperson Chris Hinds and Denver Streets Partnership executive director Jill Locantore to talk about how we got here, the disproportionate impact on our neighbors with disabilities, and what's stopping us from addressing the problem.  There's a lot more important stuff happening out there, and you can read about it all in our nifty morning newsletter. For all the talk about what's in “Build Back Better” recovery legislation that Democrats are trying to move through Congress, one thing that's not currently in the bill, in what many workers' advocates say is a glaring omission, is anything to do with Unemployment Insurance—which was badly in need of a refresh long before the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure that when workers lose a job, they have the protection they need.  In fact, workers' advocates and progressive think tanks have been ringing the alarm bells for years about how few jobless workers were protected by our UI system. The pre-pandemic share of jobless workers actually helped by UI in their time of need? Just 1 in 4, a record low. One of the most important lessons from the pandemic is without question the structural failings in America's Unemployment Insurance system—gaps that were in many cases briefly filled by temporary expansions of jobless protections that have since been allowed to expire, leaving millions of still-jobless workers with less than they need to get by, or worse, nothing at all to keep them and their families afloat. For a look at the state of Unemployment Insurance now that recent expansions have been allowed to run out, what jobless workers are facing right now, and the long-needed UI fixes that workers' advocates are hoping might still be included in upcoming recovery legislation… for this week's Off-Kilter, Rebecca sat down with a panel of UI experts and advocates who have been leading the charge: Rebecca Dixon, executive director of the National Employment Law Project; Andy Stettner, senior fellow at The Century Foundation; and Stephanie Freed, a freelancer turned UI organizer who founded and serves as the executive director of Extend PUA, which has organized tens of thousands of jobless workers in the fight to extend federal UI expansions during the pandemic. Read Rebecca Dixon's statement on why UI reforms must be included in “Build Back Better” recovery legislation  Read more from Andy Stettner on the 7.5 million jobless workers who went over a UI benefits cliff on Labor Day Learn more about the story behind ExtendPUA.org—and how Stephanie Freed went from being a freelancer to organizing tens of thousands of jobless workers Jobless benefits protected 4.7 million people from poverty in 2020, according to NELP analysis Here's a deep dive into how workers' advocates say UI needs to be fixed (by NELP and allies) And here's an op-ed Rebecca (Vallas) wrote early in the pandemic about Florida's broken-by-design UI system

Summary: Today we have Rob Kirby on the podcast, who talks about how one of the largest and most underreported issues is the volume of trade we're experiencing in terms of dollar return in the crypto-verse. It seems that cryptos are eating off the dollar's plate, which means that the crypto portion in international trade is rising…while the relevance of the dollar declines. Tune in to learn about the power of crypto and some of the key distinctions between Bitcoin and Ethereum that put banks and the law profession in an interesting position. Highlights: -The economic house of cards is crumbling all over -The biggest and most underreported issue is the volume of trade we're experiencing in terms of dollar return in the crypto-verse -On a daily basis, the crypto-verse is turning over a minimum of $100 billion equivalent on average -We're looking at $50 trillion dollar equivalent turnover in a year -Cryptos are eating off the dollar's plate, which means that cryptos are categorically being used in trade settlement right now -Countries like Iran and Venezuela had to have it to where they could continue to trade without having to settle in dollars -The crypto portion in international trade settlement is only going to increase from here, which means dollar relevance will decline -Hyper-inflation and massive reduction in purchasing power of the dollar stock -The whole nature of trade settlement is changing—less and less dollars are being used to settle international accounts. Thus, they get caught up in a Repo facility -The inflation rate in our country is at 14% -Ethereum is rising, and will perhaps eventually eclipse Bitcoin -Bitcoin is the killer of banks; it's a store of value -Ethereum is the killer of the law practice -Bitcoin is a challenge to bankers while Ethereum is a challenge to the law profession -There is a place in the world for smart contracts as well as the traditional store of value—they can coexist Useful Links: Financial Survival Network Kirby Analytics

Darrell Castle talks about lies spoken from the top of our government and its supporting bureaucracy and how those lies are being revealed and the revelations are not going over well with the average American. Transcription / Notes: THE HOUSE BUILT ON LIES IS CRUMBLING Hello, this is Darrell Castle with today's Castle Report. This is the 10th day of September in the year 2021 and I will be talking about many examples of lies at the top of our government and its supporting bureaucracy and how those lies are being revealed and the revelations are not going over well with the average American. The Castle Family is very happy this week as the family daughter is scheduled to arrive from Los Angeles this very evening. We haven't seen her in almost two years so if you are a parent then you know I don't need to say anything else. This Castle Report was finished when it was too late to include the President's dictatorial decrees about vaccine mandates. Perhaps I will be able to address them next week when we know more. I just want to say today that when a person tries to assume dictatorial powers and he is stopped by congress, the courts, or simple refusal to obey then all you have is a silly person with delusions of grandeur, but if no one stops him then he is indeed what he presumes to be, dictator. I think it was former Senator Al Franken who coined the phrase lies and the lying liars who tell them, but in any event, it is a phrase appropriate for today's commentary. Dr. Anthony Fauci is director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and chief medical advisor to the president of the United States. He has steadfastly denied being responsible for any gain of function research into the COVID virus since the outbreak began. He testified before congress on many occasions and denied it under oath. In May 2021, for example, Dr. Fauci testified before a Senate committee investigating whether the U.S. funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology where he stated, “NIH has not and does not now fund gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. “A publication called The Intercept through a Freedom of Information Act Request found that NIH issued a bat coronavirus grant to a group called the EcoHealth Alliance for $3.1 million, including $599,000 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology used to identify and alter bat coronaviruses likely to infect humans. Scientists identified as experts in virology and infectious diseases looked at the reports and concluded that the grants supported the construction of coronaviruses that combined a spike gene from one with genetic information from another in order to make the resulting virus infect human cells. The COVID virus was, in other words, a laboratory generated virus specifically engineered to make it more lethal to humans. Several senators have said that Dr. Fauci should face a full investigation and should be forthcoming about his involvement, while others have called for his resignation. So, they talk and they talk and they strut across the TV screens with their meaningless words which mean nothing. Their question is “what was Dr. Fauci's involvement, not did this man commit perjury, a serious felony, and certainly not is he guilty of one of the greatest crimes against humanity in human history. Why would Dr. Fauci, the most powerful man in international medicine, risk everything to create this deadly virus? For one thing, he did not risk everything because he knew that he was exempt from the consequences of his actions. He knew that he would not be subject to the law like us little people. He knew that there are two sets of laws and those at the top whether elected or bureaucratic are exempt as long as they are useful and cooperative. Back to the question of why he did it, he did it for money. If this report from what the Intercept obtained is true, and it is because they didn't invent the information they obtained it from go...
