Topics covered include reconciling or moving on from problematic texts, the trajectories of some franchises versus others, and an extended segment about “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” (If you haven’t seen the movie yet and intend to, spoiler alert!) Plus—register your surprise—continued discussion of the US Presidential Election.

In episode 43 of We Have To Go Back Podcast we take a look back at the LOST season 4 finale, "There's No Place Like Home.” We talk about the great way that they kept us guessing all season as to who the Oceanic 6 were and how they would finally get to the same place to be the only 6 to make it back home. We also talk about the death of Keamy and the ramifications of his death and the freighter explosion. We also talk about our favorite flash forwards as Sun buys controlling stock in her father's company and Hurley's parents throw him a tropical themed birthday party. Well, this was a pain in the ass. We started recording this episode on the Friday before Thanksgiving, but found ourselves interrupted during the discussion of LOST! (we're talking about "Something Nice Back Home," "Cabin Fever," and "There's No Place Like Home, Pt. 1" this week). So we tried to reconvene a couple of times, but...that didn't work out so well. So, almost a week later, we rejoined to finish this glued together, shambling monster of a podcast. The conversation is good though, with the LOST! talk sandwiched by Elementary and Friday Night Lights. Next week (by which I mean this week, probably tomorrow), back to Deep Space Nine, with "Crossfire," "Return to Grace," and "Sons of Mogh."

We open up this week's show by talking about math for no discernible reason, then move on to our usual topics: grousing about the procedural mechanics of Elementary, gushing about Deep Space Nine -- in this case, the delightfully silly "Our Man Bashir" and the brooding two-parter "Homefront" and "Paradise Lost" -- and raving about Friday Night Lights.Next week, Jack's dad wants to talk to about a couple of things on LOST!, with "Something Nice Back Home," "Cabin Fever," and "There's No Place Like Home, Part 1."
