B. Dave Walters returns! We jump into a banger of a two-parter as Deep Space 9 takes center stage. Kind of. On the Promenade, Worf meets Mr. James Cameron, er, Cromwell, dressed up like a naked mole rat named Shrek (no, really) who says Worf's father is still alive. Mogh would be proud of his son breaking a glass table before donning a black caper suit and heading to the jungle to beat up some old people and look at naked lady Klingons. Meanwhile, Dr. Bashir assists Data in accessing his trippy visions and Dr. Noonien Sungh's proclamation that "I Am a Bird." Great to have B. Dave back in the saddle to discuss left-handedness, fake martial arts, and the connection to fatherhood we all have. Get in touch with us on BlueSky @ReEngageTNG.bsky.social! Matthew (he/him) and Jo (she/they) hang out with the “Sons of Mogh” as we talk Star Trek siblings! We avoid addressing the weird racial issues brought up in this episode the way Worf avoids acknowledging he has a son, we debate ethics and consent around Kurn's memory being erased and we get excited about the flirty fighting between Dax and Worf. Matthew rants about Libertarian Worf and Jo asks if Sarek, Spock's father, is the Nick Cannon of Star Trek.As always, be prepared that spoilers may be lurking around every corner just like Garak on Empok Nor.Subscribe for weekly recaps of Star Trek Deep Space Nine, follow us online at @TerokNoir on Twitter for silly memes and polls and contact us by e-mail at teroknoirpod@gmail.com

Rob & Kev agree that "Seventeen Seconds" was an episode written specifically for Rob, thanks to its loving embrace of Deep Space Nine as a core contributor to Star Trek history. Speaking of history, they take the opportunity of Worf's return to our screens to reflect on the journey of everyone's favourite son of Mogh. There's more to these Klingons than meets the eye! Tony Todd drops in and drops a major bombshell - he's Worf's brother and their father Mogh was a traitor to the Empire. Maybe. Picard does some Kilngon Shakespeare on the home planet, including bad stunts as Worf's Cha Deech (cha'DIch if you nasty.) But the real star of the show was the matte painting and the fat-shaming. Still this episode is excellent from the top to the quiet, tragic close. One of the best of the series. Get in touch with us on Twitter @ReEngageTNG! Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Bar Association Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 15: Bar Association where Rom tries to form a union. We've got Nausicaans and Jeffrey Combs and Starfleet officers brawling over stuff they shouldn't care about. And...oh yeah...Worf moves out to the garage to live in his car. Bar Association In this episode Rom decides to form a union with Quark's waitstaff and Quark is not amused. Quark treats them like garbage and docks their pay and we're supposed to believe that Ferengi workers just put up with this treatment all the time! Brunt turns up to try and put a stop to the union nonsense and nobody seems to care that he brings a couple of Nausicaan thugs along to beat someone (Quark) to death! Where is Odo while this is happening? This is a peculiar episode with a couple of holes in the story! What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Sons of Mogh Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 14: Sons of Mogh. We've got a lot of Klingon stuff in this episode including guest star Tony Todd as Worf's brother Kurn. But there's also some other Klingon shenanigans going on near the station and Kira and Miles are on the case. Sons of Mogh Worf's brother is having a crisis. He's lost his place on the council, his name is mud and he is disgraced. He wants Worf to kill him and send him to Sto'Vo'Kor...the trouble is this isn't a very Starfleet thing to do! At the same time, Kira and Miles stumble into the Klingons dropping mines just outside of Bajoran space. I'm sure they have a very good reason for this...but Starfleet and Bajor aren't going to just let it happen. What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Hello Star Trek fans and welcome to Rebinge Deep Space Nine episode S1E14: Sons of Mogh! In this week's episode, Worf's brother turns up (played by Tony Todd!) at the station and he has some mental health challenges. He's depressed, disgraced and feeling hopeless. His only way to Sto'Vo'Kor is for his brother to kill him. This is not good! Send us your feedback at rebingeit@gmail.com.
In S4E14 of DS9: Sons of Mogh, Worf's brother Kurn arrives at the station with an unusual request. He wants Worf to kill him.
Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Return to Grace Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 13: Return to Grace. It's another episode of Kira forced on a mission with that jerk Gul Dukat! Kira must just want to punch this guy every time she sees him, yet she keeps getting paired with him! And of course, he is his usual unpleasant self (I mean what else would you expect). And while the episode has an appearance by guest star Marc Alaimo, the podcast has an unexpected appearance of Pooky the cat. You'll just have to listen in and see where she pops up. Return to Grace Dukat has arrived to escort Kira to some far off summit (much to her distaste) - oh how the mighty have fallen from military "great" to ferry driver! One good thing on this mission is Kira gets to hang out with Ziyal, Dukat's half-Bajoran daughter. But every other thing that happens is bad. Not only do they end up in a battle with a much more powerful Klingon ship, but Kira has to endure dinner with Dukat. Gross. Dukat continues to hit on her and try to schmooze her. So Kira spends her time not only trying to vomit over the grossness of Dukat, but also trying to help the Cardassians think differently. They are no longer the strongest fish in the pond. What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Please listen to some of our favorite episodes like Duet, The Visitor or Heart of Stone and check out the previous episode, Crossfire. Next time... Join us next week for S4E14: Sons of Mogh! Tonight on the show, we break down what we NOW know about the path to Worf. It's not quite as easy as we had hoped it would be, but there's still a path. Enough bonus shards have also been given for you to be able to potentially SKIP a milestone in a future event, especially if the material spend was high enough to give some players fits. Value wise, does the event make sense? Plus, WHAT IS OFFICER POWER? An event was modified over the weekend due to a technical glitch, but even then, players misunderstood the actual mechanic of officer power. We will break that down for you and give you some math on WHY XP was the least effective form of scoring in this weekends power events. All this and much more! Please share with your team, sub to our channels, and ENJOY the show! Visit our website at talkingtrekstfc.com for more info!

The Klingon/Starfleet cross-cultural exchange program continues with Commander Kurn of the Klingon Defense Force serving a short stint as first officer aboard the Enterprise. But everyone is in for a surprise: Kurn is secretly the brother of Worf. He has come to tell Worf that their father has been deemed a traitor by the Klingon Empire. Now the entire crew of the Enterprise has one mission - help Worf clear the name of the house of Mogh. Either that or Worf dies.
