Title: What's Love Got to Do With It? #6: Location, Location, Location Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: Matthew 9:9-10 Theme: Where is our center for ministry and outreach? I. Jesus did not need a building to start the church, He pursued people. II. Each follower of Jesus is the center of His ministry. III. Our mission is fostering all the family of God.
Submission: What's Love Got To Do With It - it probably the best way to approach the topic in Paul's letter to the Ephesians, chapter 5. Marriage was so rotten among Jews and Romans at Paul's time, that He took time to dedicate part his chapter of "walking in the faith in Christ" to devote to the relationship between husbands and wives. Listen in as Paul discusses how deposits of love prevent a bankrupt marriage.

Remember that moment when you felt love for the first time? Now it's time to go deeper and discover just how authentic that love really was. In this episode we discover what loves looks like and how to get more love in your life while also discovering a bit about what happens when we don't know how to love. As you may have noticed we also changed the name of the podcast to Authentic Human. I've spent so much time healing over the past 15 years that it's my new state of being. Healing is about restoring balance so that you have the ability to once again be the fully conscious being you were created to be. It's also time to really focus on the fact that as a human race we were fully conscious. In fact, we were fully conscious for millions and billions of years. It is right now at this time that we are the most primitive we have ever been. But it's all changing, one truth at a time. Just remember that to restore your own balance you don't focus on the lies, you focus on who you're becoming. This is what makes you more powerful than anything or anyone else. Not to have power over anyone, but to ensure no one has power over you. There is so much more clarity in this week's episode of how to focus on your own healing and how to encourage yourself to want to go deeper. You can find me at michellevickers.com Much Love, Michelle

Title: What's Love Got To Do With It? (Impossible) Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: Matthew 5:43-48 Theme: Love your enemy. I. Jesus calls us to an impossible love. II. God rules over the impossible. III. The impossible becomes possible because God is our Father.
For many people love is defined by the emotion they feel or the broken heart they experience. Jesus however, flips the meaning of love in his teaching and provides us a completely different view, revealing God's embrace of all humanity.

Paul is joined on this episode by Jill Poet, Co-Founder and CEO of the Organisation for Responsible Businesses, to talk about how ethical business practices and mental health awareness can help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) thrive. KEY TAKEAWAYS 99% of private businesses in the UK are SMEs, 96% are micro-businesses, at the heart of the local communities and well-placed to make a difference in society. 11 years ago businesses were unwilling to take up any form of ethical business practices in case it affected their bottom line, but now businesses are realising that they need to embrace it because there are more external pressures on the welfare of the staff and the ethics the company stand for. People will start to do things because they need to tick a box, but then they'll start to see the benefits it's having to staff and productivity and will start to feel good about themselves too. Most people launch a business because they like what they do, but they tend to lose track of that in order to make money, which takes the joy out of it. Embracing these extra, self-love aspects, they feel the love again and start enjoying what they do again. BEST MOMENTS ‘Their business is going to benefit from doing these things.' ‘Doing good is good for business.' ‘People do good because they want to be seen to be doing the right things.' ‘Change always starts from within.' It's June 11th, 1993 and vicious dinosaurs once again roam the earth: The Tyrannosaurus Rex! The Velociraptor! The Ike Turner! This week the boys are rollin' down the river and digging up JURASSIC PARK and WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT. Hold onto your butts and Welcome…to Episode 53 of Opening Weekend Park!Shhh. Do you hear that? That low, deep rumbling sound? Is it a T-Rex approaching? Tina Turner getting ready to let loose a soulful wail? Or just Dan warming up his hands for a rendition of “Private Dancer”? Or maybe…(pan camera, zoom in slowly onto Richard Attenborough, and in sotto voce): ”…it's all three?”In June of 1993, while Steven Spielberg was breaking box office records, Dan was breaking into box office registers. Or WAS he? While Angela Bassett was the embodiment of a singing legend who shared a tumultuous life with an abusive husband, Jason was the embodiment of a happily married man who shared a summer-stock bed with his loving wife. Or WAS he? And while Sam Neil and Laura Dern were speeding away from a T-Rex in a jeep, Fred was speeding away from his dignity in a trolley car dressed in a pinstripe suit and holding a Hershey Bar as the life drained from his eyes. OR. WAS. HE???So many questions, so few answers. Is love just a second-hand emotion? Does Newman actually know how to use a winch properly? Is Fred really a famous Nintendo plumber from Italy? Will it be another 60 million years before the next episode comes out? Must go faster, must go faster…We don't need another hero, Ms. Turner, but we do need Episode 53 of Opening Weekend!
If you have heard of oxytocin before, you have probably heard about it as “the love hormone” or “the cuddle hormone.” Oxytocin has other nicknames too. It's called the morality molecule, the hug hormone, and although it is less catchy, I like to point out, it's also the racism hormone. Those are just a few of the things oxytocin has been implicated in. But how can one hormone do all of those things?Oxytocin! What do we know? Do we know things? What's Love Got To Do With It? is a three-part podcast series about Radical Love. The final episode of this podcast series is a conversation between two friends: Ariana Reines and Sophie Robinson, poets and educators who look to spaces of hospitality for connection and kinship. Sharing their poetry and the experiences that shaped its writing, the pair discuss possibilities for care despite institutional cruelty, getting sober as an act of radical love, and how the Sun and Moon communicate very different and sometimes uncomfortable truths to Reines and Robinson respectively. What’s Love Got To Do With It? is programmed and curated by Beatrice Gibson, produced by Alannah Chance, and features unique compositions by Crystabel Riley and Seymour Wright. It is a commission by Bergen Kunsthall; Camden Art Centre, London; KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; and Mercer Union, a centre for contemporary art, Toronto.
